Reserved a boat 3 weeks in advance w/credit card 2. Showed up to pick the boat up on Saturday the day before Memorial Day 2012. The boat was supposedly a 2012---it was bottom painted-it was oxidized-speedometer didn't work-remote control for the stereo didn't work-throttle wouldn't not hold mid power--kept sliding back to idle 3. Had fun but returned the boat early after a day & a half and the guy there was not the guy that released the boat to me 4. The guy that checked it said the prop was damaged-it's an aluminum prop and the only damage was pitting on the edge of the blades (this is quite common because aluminum is very SOFT--that's why GOOD boats have stainless steel props) 5. The owner (the rudest lady I've ever talked to with absolutely ZERO customer service skills) thought it was funny that the guy wouldn't release the boat at checkin. I only talked to her on the phone--rather than have these idiots ruin my weekend I just left. 6. These idiots tried to charge my credit card after I left for the prop damage without a signature Anyway, rather than go on and try to convince you not to use these fools let me just say that there A LOT of boat rentals that do understand customer service and that actually have insurance programs for possible damage rather than trying to fleece customers who just forked over $530 for new prop on their stupid deckboats. Go to a real company with real customer service run by real business professionals.
