Paid for a Permanent Crown and got a Temporary!!!
- - Crown failures occurred; the third lasted about 3 years.
- - New dentist said crown temporary; caused cavity and root canal; only crown cost reimbursed.
I went to the dentist and paid for a Permanent Custom Crown. If fell off and I swallowed it within 3 days.
They then installed a second crown, it came off within a week. The third try stayed on for almost 3 years until I began to experience discomfort. During the 3 years a went in every 3 months for a "special" clean and was never told there was any problems with the crown. I finely transferred to a new dental office and was advised the crown was only a temporary and it was badly deteriorating and exposing the tooth.
We then found that the temporary crown caused a very large cavity which then resulted in a severe infection in my jaw bone. This infection caused me to be forced to undergo a ROOT CANAL procedure in the hopes of saving the tooth. The previous dentist made excuses and only offered to reimburse the cost of the original crown.
Through the 3 years, rather than tell me the crown was temporary and deteriorating they chose to try to sell me additional and unnecessary expensive procedures. Run Far Away!!!
