Commenting on website

Shame you don't give customers the opportunity to email you direct. Retailers don't necessarily have all the answers and your FAQ's don't cover queries relating to the website. Without explanation, there are two identical pictures of Moterra Neo carbon 3+ next to each other (one says "new"?) - but there is NO specification list shown for either of them. Where else should a potential customer look for the Definitive spec information, if not on Cannondale's own website? Moral: Companys which allow, even encourage, direct consumer contact, can sometimes learn something to their commercial advantage!!

I would like to know the full specification details for the Moterra Neo carbon 3+ 2021 model which I have recently ordered in the UK, but which does not appear on Cannondale's website.

A few days ago I bought a new Cannondale bike that had a perforated rear tire and the bicycle inner tube is the wrong size. I had to repair the tire to test the bike.

User's recommendation: Quality control must be thorough.

Dissatisfaction.

I have owned three Cannondale road bikes. The first two : ~1990 and 2001 were dependable and needed little tuning and repair. They were :bulletproof". The one I own now is a carbon fiber Synapse Shimano 105 - 2 to 11, It has been a problem from the start. It's like owning a MG: needs constant tinkering! I had to have the bottom bracket epoxied within a few weeks after I bought it, it needed a complete change of gears, chain and shifters to the tune of ~$550 after four years of use, etc, etc. MY research also showed me that Cannondale of old is no longer Cannondale!

User's recommendation: If and when I buy another bicycle I will probably look at other brands.t other brands.

Quality and customer service

I tried to reach customer service by phone and tired of waiting for someone to answer. The reason for my call was to express my dissatisfaction with my Synapse I purchased five years ago. The 105 Shimano - 2 rings to 11 gears - has been like owning a British sports car i.e. a maintenance headache to keep it shifting well e.g.. oil the chain and pin's very often like after every other ride. The shifting system, including chain, had to be totally replaced, in less than five years, and this year the shifters for a total of ~ $550, My two earlier Cannondales (I owned two over twenty years) were dependable and bulletproof as far as dependable shifting goes. Also within months after buying the bike, which is carbon fiber, my shop had to re-epoxy the bottom bracket. Now I somehow lost the cover under the bottom bracket that gives access to the cables and have been told by my shop to cover the hole with tape. I was also told two things: I can't buy just that piece and oh you stopped making this frame in 2018? So to me that sounds like planned obsolescence This lead me to wonder if Cannondale or all bike makers are morphing. My search for my next bike may lead to other manufacturers ,

User's recommendation: Do your research and don't depend on past experenceeseprinced.
