  • - Sought rescue for a 10-month Cane Corso; responses took 3-4 days.
  • - Rescue group promised to take the dog but didn't follow through; dog euthanized.

I reached out to this rescue for several weeks regarding a purebred 10 month old Cane Corso at our local shelter. I would not get a response for up to 3-4 days.

This group said that they would take the dog and never followed through.

After holding onto this dog for 2 weeks for the rescue group unfortunately the shelter ran out of room and had to put the dog down. How can anyone call themselves a rescue and let a 10 month old Purebred Cana Corso die in a shelter, shame on them they are not about saving lifes.

  • - The reviewer alleges Cane Corso Rescue, Inc is run by a woman who alternates kindness with demeaning remarks and posts complainants' identities.

I'm trying to bring awareness to people who may be interested in adopting a dog, and warn them about a particular rescue that has questionable people involved. Cane Corso Rescue, Inc located in Texas seems to be run by a woman who shows two sides to people.

The first is kind and supportive, offering help to people. But that quickly changes when something doesn't go her way. She becomes a completely different person. She makes demeaning comments about families who's dogs didn't work out, fabricates stories and conversations, and the volunteers/ supporters behind her join in quickly.

She also likes to divulge identities of people who are complaining - in one case even posting the city/ state one of the families lived in. Since when is that acceptable? The things she and others have said in response to complaints are questionable, rude and unnecessary. In reality (whether these people understand this or not) it is our right as consumers to make a complaint about a business that didn't treat us right.

That's why the complaint pages are there. They aren't called "compliment forums" after all. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if she responded to this review as well with even more personal information about families and individuals. That seems to be in her character.

I strongly encourage people to check out complaintsboard.com under Cane Corso Rescue, Inc. You will find some very interesting information there.

Sometimes the business (or in this case the rescue) isn't the problem. It's the person running it that is.
