Oh No! David James has passed away!
What a knowledgeable, honest guy. I have purchased many things from Canadian Treasure Seekers.
Shipping was quick and the product was as advertised. I will continue to purchase from this business but I will miss a conversation with David. They do not come any better than this guy. I will recommend the website to friends and family because I know that the business is fair and the service is great.
I understand that David's wife is continuing to run the business.
I will support her in any way that I can as will all your other loyal customers.

Canadian Treasure Seekers is a stellar company with great customer service.
My husband and I decided that in our golden years, we needed a reason to get outdoors and do more. After some research, we decided on metal detecting.
We travel a fair bit too and metal detecting was a good fit. After looking at a few websites we called Canadian Treasure Seekers and spoke with the owner, David. He answered all of our questions and made a few recommendations. He also discouraged buying a number of accessories until we were more established in the hobby.
We really liked that. He was honest and genuine, a real gentleman. So we ordered and we love detecting. We have found quite a few old coins and a few pieces of jewellery.
The initial purchase was made 3 years ago. We have since ordered a few accessories and delivery was always fast. We are posting this "report" for 2 reasons. Do not be swayed by a complaint that you read here.
Some people have to be critical of anything and everything.
The other reason is to provide a tribute to David James. Sadly, we just learned that he passed away a few weeks ago after a short battle with cancer. He was only 63.
We understand that his family continues to run the business. We will continue to purchase from this very fine business.

Be careful what you ask for.You just might not get it.And to go to another company well most companies go to them (CTS) its likely the distributer for them.They are in it for the money.Metal detecting,pinpointers So hide your money in a tree....Do your home work,Make sure your paper trail is covered.document your invoice.(CTS) I see you fix your add after how long on the bounty qdraw ii .You must have a basement full of storage pouch and digging tools.You've been advertising something that don't exist. And you talk about being cheated..I've got you're emails, Took you how long too fix this scam.?

I read an article someone wrote about how bad this company was. I read it after I had placed a 800.00 order.
I was a bit nervous but then thought let it play out and see. Well let me tell you after speaking with Pat and emailing both Pat and Dave I soon realized what down to earth absolutley gold people they really were. They are going through some troubled times with medical issues. I gave them lots of time and to my surprise my order arrived on time and it was not only what I had ordered but exceeded my wildest expectations.
I would not hesitate to order again and again. These two genuine people have got hearts as big as New York. If you are having second thoughts because of an article that someone wrote who in my mind tried to hurt a wonderful couple please do not be afraid you are in good hands. And to the author of the bad letter the only thing i can say to you is Shame on you....Shame ..On...You.
Thanks so much not only for the excellent service but for the start of a good relationship both business and the friendly kind. Just going over the menu now to order more stuff...

Ordered an item from this site that was listed in stock and my credit card was charged and I got a receipt saying evrything was ok and my order was on its way. So I went along my way preparing for an upcoming trip expecting my item to arrive soon.
It never did!! They clearly didn't have the item in stock and didn't contact me in any way to advise me even though they had all my contact info.
Leaving me stranded for my trip at the last minute. Avoid this business, they are not professional and will leave you unhappy.
Great company I order lots from them safe and sound fast shipping

If you read the last line it clearly says that it comes with pouch and digging tool.Witch was not the case. And they made the correction right after I called them on it. false advertising ,no tressure pouch and no digging tool, so when you order online and you don't get wat you pay for or order don't be surprize or disappointed, trust is gone and so is my business.
Good grief scamcatcher, you ordered from me and they are the distributor. You are correct, you did not get the pouch and digging tool.
You rightfully complained and CTS sent you the pouch and digging tool. The description of the detector was an old one when the pouch and digging tool were offered as promotions. They are no longer. The description was not changed to remove the promotional items.
An oversight that was corrected.
I could not believe all the vile accusations that you made. I was embarrassed because you had ordered through me.
There was an unbelievable string of rude, crude comments. Nobody wants your business!
