Hidden fees and missing product information on site

About a week after an expensive tent arrived (shipped from UK va FedEx to US), I got a duty bill from FedEx for 25% of the cost ($450). The purchase said free shipping, apparently not duty free shipping.

There was no way to calculate the duty fee.

Customer service tells me they have a calculator on the site, but it's a joke. Unless you know where the item was made (which was NOT on there site) its impossible to calculate. A simple tent, bought in the UK, that was apparently made in china, has a huge tariff.

I was straight up told from customer service that it's impossible for them to know where every item they sell is manufactured... well guess what, if you don't have this info, the end user gets stuck with a bill.

They simply don't care. Will never buy from them again.

I received the customsinvoice shortly after delivery. This is not clearly mentioned on the website. Only good advice: stay away from campingworld!

The worst ever experience. Beware! Do not buy from this company. I placed an order online for a hot tub fixture and immediately canceled. I email them, no response. Then, when the ordered came, I refused it. Now after all the back and forth they charge me $400 on a ticket item of $645.00. Holly the manager did not care. Asked for corporate and refused.

Failure to give a refund other than personal attendance in branch

On the 27 July 2020 we placed an order and paid for a Kampa Dometic Rally Pro air Conservatory for which we paid by credit card £275. We were advised delivery would 3 weeks. 6 weeks later with the season coming to an end and no delivery we decided to cancel. We phoned the branch. Chichester and whilst the cancellation was accepted we were advised the refund could only be given if we personally came to the Branch. As we live in Worthing that would mean a 35 mile round trip and at least 2 hours of our time. When challenged we were advise it is Company Policy only to make refunds in store. We find this Policy totally unacceptable and against any principle of giving customer service.
