Camera Cronies
Complete Fraud
After placing an order I get a call from them asking me for my name, after which the guy hangs up. Calling back is useless as their number 718 373 **** as it is busy.
They email back rude, typical scam bait and switch.
Email replies get complete replies of backorders and cancellation excuses.
The company specializes in either identity theft or baiting a person into a price that is not realistic and later upgrading them to a product that is below quality standards but is more expensive. I would completely regard them as unreliable with any information especially credit card.
Cameracronies = dishonest merchant
I ordered a spare battery and charger (led to them by google search). I was told that the battery was in stock, but the charger was on back order.
I waited for two months. In the end they simply ignored my email, and refused to ship the battery to me. The fact that they would not honor their prices, which were much cheaper than elsewhere, shows that Cameracronies is a dishonest merchant. By the way, they did try to sell me a "compatible charger", but I refused.
I wish I had read reviews on this site before dealing with them. What a waste of time.

This owner uses a service to hide their identity. They are located in Scottsdale. Arizona. http://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/cameracronies.com this website gives you much more info about this company. I tried to make a purchase but after googling it I had second thoughts and called my credit card company and emailed the company and told them and they immediately cancelled my order.
Claimed back order on an item order and asked to substitue a cheaper item.
Accepted an order and then claimed it was back ordered for 6 weeks. They then recommended a "better" item as a substitute with a "special" price which was discounted to make it equal to the original item order.
I trusted them and told them it was ok to ship.
Once I received the item, I found that is could be purchased for $90 instead of the $129.95 they charged me. I wrote them asking for a credit of $40 to make this equal to their competition and they refused.
This is a classic example of "buyer beware" and I was *** enough to trust them. This company should be avoided.
Camera Cronies bait and switch!
beware, beware, beware, bait and switch!
I Ordered a well priced, "in stock" item from the Cronies website...only to be emailed and called that item was "back ordered" and offered an upsell on another tripod. I canceled entire order...feel BAITED and Switched!!!
They described the item incorrectly and insisted that I was wrong even though I was reading it to them off of the website and referenced Canon's website too!

Cameracronies.com doesn't actually sell ANYTHING
I ordered a pair of binoculars, at a substantial discount below MSRP, and sure enough, two days later the order was cancelled. Do NOT fall for their trap!
I hung up the phone before "sales", could try any bait and switch tactic on me. These guys, if nothing else are wasting time, but it scares me to know that they have my credit card info. I recommend buying from more reputable companies such as amazon or even sellers on eBay.
I only wish that I had read the warnings regarding Cameracronies.com on this website prior to trying to business with them. Don't make the same mistake as me!
Camera Cronies Scam
Listen to all of the reviews about this company, I went through the same thing. Great price on a battery charger was listed then I receive an email stating there is a problem with my order.
Called the company sat on hold for several minutes then got to speak to a guy who answers the phone "sales". He then pulls up my order and informs me it is on backorder.
I asked how long til the item will be available and am told it will be quite some time, however this other version is available now. I told the man to cancel my order, as I realized that all of the warnings were true!

Yea, I agree. Read the reviews on these crooks and stay away. Don't believe me? When you order something from them they will call you and say it is out of stock and try to sell you something else. Classic bait and switch. I told the guy to update the invoice and send it to me so I could review the product he was trying to sell me. I never got the updated invoice, but I received the items in the mail a few days later.
Once I received them I called Cronies because that was not what we agreed to. He said fill out the form and get a RMA to send it back if that's what I wanted to do, so I did. Three times with no response. I called and left 2 voice mails. Finally I get a call on a Sunday saying they replied to the email, I must not be getting them. Sound familiar????
So, I called them on Monday like he said to get them to give me an RMA over the phone. So I did that and the guy said, I'm sorry, that item is not eligible to be sent back per the returns policy. I said no, I read it and Flashes is not listed in the policy. He said it was in the policy. I told him I am going to dispute the charges with the credit card company.
I was out of town and when I got back I wanted to look on my PC to read the return policy and sure enough flashes were allowed to be returned. So, being the curious person I am I loaded the page in a different tab and guess what. They added flashes to the list of items that aren't allowed to be returned.
I saved the cached page, printed it and sent it to my credit card company.
Buyer beware!
