Cambridge Whos Who
Cambridge who's who is scam
Cambridge who's who sent me the letter to invite me as the honor member in their website. I call to find out what's that.
In the phone, they said they can also have Trump as their member and will send me plate and letter for only $208. so I said ok. But later, I found out this is the scam. So I call to cancel right away in the same day.
They said it's ok to cancel. However, they still charge me from my credit card.
When I find out, they said they did not charge me and send me the email to show the transition is void. But my credit card still got charged, and I can't do anything about it.So I need to cancel my credit card to avoid they continue charging me.
Took money for a publication; no publication.
Cambridge Who's Who took money for a book containing my profile and pic. Called me to charge $250 to my credit card for a second copy( Rep was Jackie Tufano, from Uniondale, NY)Within thirty minutes, received call from Ashford Publishing Company, asking for $99 to start the printing.
Even told me what page I would be on. Agreed, stupidly, to allow it. Their Rep was Tommy Duff, and later, received a call from Premier Who's Who, asking for $599 to publish another book. that rep was also Tommy Duff!
My credit card (Discover) is attempting to regain all my funds.
You needed to know about this fraudulent activity and scams. Thank you
Cambridge Whos Who
This company located in Uniondale LI, NY has about 250 employees and is run as a telemarketing sweat shop. Employees have to make over 125 calls a day, and close over $3000 a week total in sales ranging from $150 to $1100 per sale. They call from a list which really isn't culled from any list (the company's owner has 'disputes' from the leading list companies) includes everyone from welfare recipients to CEOs. THey are told that they are being considered for acceptance and are asked some final questions for consideration - This is bogus, as the answers are designed to *** the prospect into believing they are "special" and you are set up for the "close" which hits them with an acceptance speech into Cambridge Whos Who and then an offer of platinum membership offer for only $889.
for that amount you get a piece of paper printed on a laser printer that you can frame, which costs about $0.10 and inclusion to the web site of other suckers, er , people that you can network with (need a back ***?).
The company goes through employees at about 60-70% turnover because they cannot lie convincingly - the employees are recorded and if they fail to follow the script (which includes carefully written lines just this side of the law). It is a complete rip off and if you cannot lie well, you get canned. The company is discriminatory towards age and disabilities and does not accept any EEOC or ADA compliance. However, as many times as they have been sited by this site, BBB the AGs offices across the country, they are still in business. The owner Randy Narod has been convicted for lieing on a broker's test (had someone else take it - morals anyone?) as well as a known Atlantic City gambler, coke user and *** frequenter (not that one should be judged by their actions). The sad part about this is that it is very successful with sales over $30 million. A lot of vain people out there to be preyed upon.
