Caliente Resort, What a Dump
This adult resort has become a hang out for what seem to be sexual perverts and the grounds parallel the same. It is dirty with a staff that would rather be someplace else.
Save your money and try another resort, this one will only make you upset. The people we encountered were scary and not your average adult resort guest.
They have the ability to be a first rate resort, but they need to go to work and clean the place up. I hope they change management soon and bring the place back to the level it started out at when it opened.

We agree! When we joined 7 yrs ago, it was a really classy 5 star resort, with wonderful people.
Now it is a dump, with low class swingers dragging it further into a cesspool. What a shame, current management needs to go and restore Caliente to what it use to be.
My wife and I (40ish) attend Caliente 5 or 6 times a year. Likewise we have stayed at some of the nicer resorts in the country/world so we feel qualified to respond to this thread.
1. The good: staff is nice and helpfull, night club is rockin on the weekends, unlike most resorts the guest are very unpretentious, pools are nice, on site bars and restaurants are adequet. relaxing atmosphere. condos are nice, hotel is convenient.
2. The bad: fairly expensive as a guest, (this is a nudist community, we are guest) hotel and grounds could use some updating, Though swingers do attend for the most part you will never know they are swingers. The exception is some of the occasional lifestyle events and even then the vast majority of swingers are very respectful and fun.
3. In summary: Be thankful there are places like Caliente where you can hang out in the sun uninhibited with like minded unpretentious people. Clothing optional is not necessarily a main-steam activity in the US and funding a large operation such as Caliente dictates the cost charged and Clientele marketed. It is my hope management can update the landscaping and hotel a bit and make good use of residents and guest revenues.
We enjoy staying at clothing optional resorts for the people and their attitudes. If you want to be pampered and surrounded in luxury pay $500+ a night to stay at the Ritz and hang with your kind. Let management know your valid concerns so they can continue to improve their service and we can keep this freedom we enjoy.
I worked there for 4.5 years and even tho it truly is a beautiful place, it's sanitation is neglected completely, the staff really couldn't care less as long as they are making money and as the years go by, the class of people, events and regulations are continuously declining. Really sad because it used to be a literal paradise and it was expected to make sure that every guest left more than happy.
That is no longer the case or goal. It is catering completely and totally to swingers and they have no rules. Who wants to go in the beautiful hot tubs knowing that there are swinger groups constantly fornicating in them.
Gross. Just wanted ya'all to know the real truth from an inside perspective.
You are right about the place. It ain't what is used to be, but it does have potential. I enjoy going, but the hotel needs updating, and the staff need some changeover.
You are so wrong, I go every year and Ive had nothing but great fun its a beautiful place with a great staff and the resort is like an exotic tropical paradise and Ive never seen anything sexual going on there, you must not have been allowed to visit lmao and have a grudge
You are correct. The complexion of the club has really changed, and it is not an example of a real classy resort. They seem to cater to the lower class swingers, not in line with AANR standards,
I went to Caliente soon after it opened and it was immaculate, had a nice clientèle, and appeared to be on it's way to success, though it was a bit pricey, unlike every other nudist resort I had visited with whichever current girlfriend over ten or more years.
I recently looked them up on the web ad signed up for their free newsletter. It has all the earmarks of not any AANR affiliated resort I have ever seen or heard of. Sex seems to be what they are selling, and that is not something that any AANR affiliate would ever promote.
I have not had time to check out whether they are still AANR affiliates or not, but Caliente gives a decidedly bad impression of what nude recreation is about.
