I was lied to about a Valentine's Day bouquet.

On January 28th, I called to place an order for two Valentines bouquets to be delivered to the same address in Homedale.

Since I had previously used an account with them, I asked if I could do the same this time and pay the balance on February 21st. The employee took a moment to check my account, then confirmed this was perfectly fine. We spent several minutes finalizing the details, and I was pleased to be able to send something special. The total was $160, which I had no issue paying under the agreed-upon terms.

Then, on February 13th, Caldwell Floral called me and completely denied that any of this had ever happened.

Suddenly, I was told:

- I had never called about my account.

- I had never placed an order.

- I had never provided my address or payment details.

- I had never agreed to pay on February 21st.

This was categorically false. I have proof of my order, yet they insisted that my account had a note stating I was ineligible for creditdespite agreeing to it weeks earlier. Now, I was being told that all Valentines orders had to be prepaid before delivery, which was never disclosed when I placed the order.

When I called to try and calmly discuss the situation, I was hung up ontwice. When I finally spoke with the owner, she became immediately agitated, defensive, and dismissive.

Rather than taking any responsibility or attempting to resolve the issue professionally, she chose to cancel my order, block my number, and smugly declare that she was exercising her right to refuse service.

This experience is especially disappointing because Caldwell Floral used to be a great shop. Their floral arrangements were always well done, and I had trusted them in the past for important occasions. However, after this debacle, it is clear that they no longer operate with integrity or respect for their customers.

I approached this situation calmly and in good faith, expecting a professional resolution. Instead, I was met with dishonesty, outright dismissal, and hostility from the owner herself.

Caldwell Floral has made it clear that they do not honor their commitments and have no regard for their customers.

If you want to work with a florist that is trustworthy, transparent, and professional, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are plenty of other businesses that actually respect their customersCaldwell Floral is not one of them.

I think the person you placed your order with gave you some bad information. Probably due to inexperience. At least the owner called you and didn’t attempt payment and cause you a bigger headache.
