Warranty issues

I bought a star rod. The first time I used it, the rod broke in half after catching about 4 fish.
I have filled out the warranty form online several times and called many times and left multiple messages. They will not answer the phone and do not return calls.
They don't even acknowledge the warranty forms submitted. This is a terrible company and I would not but from them.

- - Anti-reverse mechanism stopped working on the two combos purchased in June 2025.

- - Drag failed on a new rod and reel; the drag was cheap plastic.
- - South Bend-Calcutta Outdoors blamed the customer and Walmart would not replace it.
I bought my wife a brand new r2f ready to fish rod and reel combo and the first day she used it the drag malfunctioned opening it up to look, and I know what I'm doing I've done in a million times the drag was made out of a cheap plastic, upon calling South Bend Calcutta outdoors was told that it was my problem they could not do anything about it take it back to the store Walmart in West Hartford would not take and replace it, so now the dilemma is I have a rod and reel a real mostly that is defective my wife is heartbroken.
DO NOT BUY FROM SOUTH BEND-CALCUTTA OUTDOORS LLC. THEY DO NOT HOLD UP THEIR WARRANTIES!!!
