CALCAP Properties

Ive tried calling, and emailing and no one ever bothered to get back to me and when I got a hold of someone on the phone they said I had to call another number which I did but never answered. I even left a voicemail and nothing.

They obviously dont care about anything that you need help with .

I was having issues with a property of theirs the entire year I rented from their and the management didnt care so I tried contacting Calcap since thats who ownes it and they dont care neither! I would definitely advise not to rent no properties that they are involved with.

My apartment has been sprayed 4 times and I still have an infection of cockroaches! They think a fifth time is going to take care of it!

All I keep getting is excuses!

I have spent money on raid, sticky pads, borax acid and traps!

Its discussing!

Im going to move out 10 months before my lease ends !

I cant take it anymore! My stuff is ruined!

I would NEVER recommend this company!

I cant get ahold of anybody at CALCAP. They do not answer their phone, they do not return their phone calls.

They do not resolve issues. They do not keep up with maintenance.

They do not care about then tenants. They have cockroach infestations that they dont fix.

If you value your sanity, avoid this incompetent company at all costs. However, if you want to live in a slum, CALCAP Properties are perfect.

While my experience is at the 32 Arcadia property, I have no reason to believe these slumlords are any better at their other properties.

All these slumlords want is your rent check and for you to sit down and shut up. Issues that are entirely the responsibility of the property management will go unresolved for months on end. The vehicle gate had not worked for months. When they finally fix it, my pass card no longer works.

Even getting out of the car and holding the card right in front of the sensor did not work.

Despite repeated notification, these people have done nothing to address an issue with sewer roaches being on the property. We won't even get into the number of crickets EVERYWHERE at night. Instead of dealing with the problem when these bugs are outside the buildings, they apparently are waiting for colonies to get setup inside the buildings.

Oh, for those that may have some balance issues, be aware that there are about a million steps in the courtyard. Of special note, this incompetent management company has lights on timers instead of sensors.

This would be fine if they took an active role in adjusting these timers with the changing seasons. They never take an active role. It always requires residents to complain about the lighting not coming on. As I write this review, the sun sets at about 5:20PM but the lights in the parking lot do not come on until well after 6:00PM.

While CALCAP knows the lights are on timers, they do not bother to adjust them until someone tells them to do so. As a tenant, I thought it was the duty of the property management to handle all the exterior lighting issues!

They also object to people making their apartments more homelike. If you like to have a plant or two outside your door, forget about it. They will take issue with it.

Here at 32 Arcadia, we have a large gravel pit in the courtyard as the owners and management cannot be bothered with doing some landscaping.

So not only do they refuse to make this place more homey, they do not want residents making it homey either.

Save yourself the headache and frustration. Avoid CALCAP at all costs!
