Terrible, sleazy builder. Avoid at all costs.

AI Highlights
  • - Purchased a Cachet Binbrook home in June 2024; the adjustments charged $40,000 in builder fees, far above others charged between $10,000 and $20,000.

Do not ever buy from Cachet. The sleaziest company to sign with.

My husband and I purchased our home in Cachet Binbrook in June 2024, and up until a week ago, when we had our PDI, we had a fantastic experience and even told them we'd give them a good review. That is, until we got our statement of adjustments, and these scam artists slapped us with $40,000 in our statement of adjustments for builder fees. Others that we spoke to were charged between $10,000 and $20,000, and here we were charged double. Why?

Because they're having a *** time selling houses, so they're taking advantage of those who already purchased. Screw you, Cachet. I will never stop talking about how sleazy you are to anyone and everyone.

I hope you never sell another home again. Corruption is Cachet.

Terrible quality

Much like other posts, terrible quality. But big issue they did not install flashing in 2 spots on the roof and we had major water damage. Called and they just said it's past 2 years.

User's recommendation: DO NOT BUY

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUILDER

AI Highlights
  • - Delayed twice with no move-in date, only tentative emails.
  • - Beany the sales rep was rude and the builder seems focused on commissions.

We purchased a home from this builder who delayed twice and gave us no move in date till this day they have no move in date only emails that say tentative their sales rep "BEANY" is the rudest person i have ever met. they where quick to sell us the home but any time we called in with questions she was super rude and almost treated me like a criminal she had no compassion or professionalism.

clearly they only care about their commission and how much money the make.

Got very rude with me on the phone any time i called and did not git a *** where we lived while our house was delayed she told me to find a cheap rental! I would suggest save yourself the frustration and DO NOT BUY A HOME FROM THIS BUILDER THEY LIE AND DELAY AND SPEAK TO YOU LIKE YOU ARE TRASH MEANWHILE THEIR PAY CHECK COMES FROM THE HARD EARNED MONEY YOU SPEND TO PURCHASE THEIR HOMES THAT ARE NEVER READY ON TIME!

Reason of review:
Poor customer service

OFFENSIVE SALES ASSOCIATE

AI Highlights
  • - The sales assistant was obnoxious, demanding, and curt.
  • - She refused a price list and denied a brochure when we weren't ready to buy.

My husband and I have been noticing the TV commercials and, out for a drive, decided to explore. The sales assistant was the most obnoxious sales person we have ever met.

She was demanding and curt to our answers. I believe in pre-qualifing people, but after she knew that WE were not ready to buy, she was reluctant to even give us a price list. We asked for a brochure and we were denied one based on the fact that we were not buying. She asked why we needed one if we weren't going to buy.

What she didn't know (and didnt ask) was that a family member is moving to Phoenix this fall, and will be looking in the Goodyear area, probably for a condo. We decided we would NOT send her to your sales office. Both my husband and I are professional business people, and have worked with sales people all our lives. You hire people to represent and promote your business not to offend people as they walk in the door and refuse them materials.

Actually, I went in again. after we looked at the condos to ask about the appliances.

She was with another couple and as I was waiting and looking at a few of the brochures, she attacked me again, saying that there was nothing in there that I needed, that she only gave them out to people interested in buying. Unbelievable!

I know who you are talking about and agree.. they are rude..

Probably would have been best to say " we're not sure what we're going to do but wanted to check out product> "

Too many "tire kickers" can waste a salesperson's entire day although there is no excuse for rudeness.

Cachet Homes likes to squeeze their customers out of every penny they have saved to provide them with home upgrades which are actually a fraction of what cachet charges.

Never Buy A Cachet Homes Built Home

AI Highlights
  • - Closing punchlist from March 2007 remains unresolved.
  • - Wood floors peeling, stucco failing, central vacuum not working; PM unresponsive.

My 7th new home was built and purchased by Cachet Homes. The experience has been a complete nightmare. Our closing punchlist was written up March 2007; here it is August 2008 and it is still not resolved. To list a few issues: our woods floors are peeling, the stucco is falling off the house, central vacuum doesn't work, all toliets had to be replaced, cabinets issues go unresolved, graphite is bowing and the list goes on. This home was $875,000 - I certainly expected better service than this. Did I mention our Cachet Project Manager won't answer my calls? I have to have contractors call him for me to get him on the phone.

Never buy a Cachet Home!!!

Based on three other experiences, I recommend Shea Homes.
