The worst run company I ever dealt with. I cant rate the actual product because I couldnt anyone to install it

there has been no contact from cable tv and basically nothing done
A lot of the readers of this complaint are too young to know this but, when CABLE TV came out it was virtually commercial free ! That was the idea behind it !
BOY OH BOY are those days gone ! The amount of time dedicated to COMMERCIALS has gotten steadily LONGER and LONGER , all the while the COST for CABLE TV has gotten HIGHER and HIGHER ... why is that ?? The consumer is told that they are receiving 200 plus channels , in reality a lot of those channels are tripled or at least doubled!
Eliminate the channels that are the same and 200 DROPS A LOT! And then there are the RE-RUNS ! Very few NEW shows, BUT a lot dating back 20-30-40 years ,and all for premium cost ...of course! ANY WONDER why so many people are electing to STREAM or get the LOCAL CHANNEL for free ANTENNAS ??
We do get the multi-channel cable, as well as internet and land line phone service BUT we are looking into cutting back on the TV package because of the multitude of channels we don't watch . The problem with that is the way the providers make up their channel bundles ( you may be stuck paying for what you DON'T WANT to get what you DO WANT ) .

NOTHING HAS CHANGED
If you're old enough to remember when cable TV started .... it was a way to get more programming than free TV plus it was almost completely COMMERCIAL FREE !
Oh yes you had to pay for the service but, many customers decided to get on board for the additional shows . Commercials weren't that big a deal in those days on free TV as they were limited to maybe 3/4 minutes per 1/4 hour segments . OH, HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED !! Now commercials will number anywhere from 15 to 17 per segment taking about 9/10 minutes to get over !And it is not just for new shows...
the same commercial time is on channels with 30 to 45-year-old programs or movies !!
So now tv shows that had running times of 40 to 45 minutes , just have running times of 20 to 24 minutes .... AND IT AIN'T GETTING ANY BETTER !

Cherokee Cable Murphy NC is the worst in the biz
Worst service - down more than any cable TV service I've experienced
Worst personnel - Hyper sensitive... all 3 employees. Respectively, the owner, technical assistant or office assistant are only available to point the finger at the other two. If you happen to have a problem, don't waste your time contacting.
Just get satellite and be happy.
Worst technically - No mail to notify customers of continuous problems. They'll only recommend their local access channel for info. Don't bother, it's down too.
My vote for most dysfunctional business... period. Even the billing booklet references "King Cable", the previous cable biz to fold for dysfunctional operations.
