Verified Reviewer |Terrible customer service and installation issues
I purchased a vanity for my bathroom in St. Augustine and Christina was the one who helped us. She stated that they could customize it instead of sticking with the available design, and so they did. I inquired if they could also make a frame for my mirror and they affirmed. However, it took longer than six weeks for the vanity to arrive. They failed to inform us that the 'installers' were independent contractors to whom they relegated the job, and it was our responsibility to negotiate the price.
When they arrived to install the vanity, they left without securing the old sink with some plywood, leaving me without a sink for two weeks. Another vendor came for the countertop. Despite the measurements provided, the countertop was too long on one side and they had to cut into the molding. They only managed to cut the space for the countertop but neglected the backsplash, leaving it uneven with the countertop, which looked awful.
The man who installed the cabinet made an error by drilling an incorrect hole in my vanity, leading to the need to order new handles. I was informed that he would also frame my mirror, yet, he claimed to know nothing about it. I reached out to Christina again. She explained that while Joey was initially assigned for the job, it had been reassigned to Rodney. Christina reached out to him to ensure he was informed about the task.
My sister's vanity installation was all wrong, which Rodney admitted to. This necessitated a return visit, which he did make, but without the frame. He claimed Joey was responsible for that task. As I had never even met Joey, I inquired about the required materials. However, he claimed ignorance.
Upon contacting Christina again, at first, she seemed defensive, claiming they had already informed him. But when I repeated what Rodney had said, she admitted that she couldn't force him if he didn’t want to carry out the task. She then mentioned she'd need to hire someone else and that the required materials were presently unavailable. When I requested a refund due to the uncertainty surrounding the hight of the vanity, she refused.
She went on to falsely claim that she had advised against us getting a frame for the mirror, something I knew was untrue. My sister was there and confirmed that Christina had never made such a remark. If she had, I would've reconsidered our request.
She wouldn't even let me speak, which I found to be quite rude and unprofessional. I requested to speak with her boss, Tom Marino, and she said she would arrange for him to call me. However, 24 hours have passed and there has been no call or any form of communication.
The vanity is not what I really wanted. I communicated to her that I needed drawers and while I was provided with three beautiful ones, the space beside the sink could've accommodated three smaller ones. If that's what they call 'custom', then I desperately need a new vocabulary.
Moreover, Christina never even visited my home to take measurements before proceeding with the custom design. To further worsen the situation, I now have to hire someone to add a shelf in order to make use of the wasted space. I would highly advise against their services and suggest you find another vendor if you're considering a stock cabinet. Additionally, hire your contractor and choose your countertops.
The customer service is deplorable, and they lack respect, never allowing the customer to speak without being interrupted. What's even more shocking is that Christina was recently promoted. If the owner, Tom Marino, is anything like his employee, I wonder how they're still in business. Tom, if you happen to read this, I'm still waiting for your call.
