Very delayed shipping

Ordered 2 hunting chairs, took 1 week from order being placed to even create a label! The shipping said it would arrive 7 days from the order date. WRONG. I won't be able to use the chairs for hunting because it arrives after!!! I will never order anything from cabelas again!!!

They keep sending emails of deals that do not exist. I called customer service but they were not interested saying it was probably a scam email.(email@***.cabelas.ca) Still, they have several deals that stay on they're site but never have any stock, anywhere including online. https://www.cabelas.ca/product/134328/bass-pro-shops-mens-100mph-gore-tex-rain-bib The one store they have it at when I called said they definitely do not have any.

Broken meat mixer

I bought a meat mixer about 5 years ago and used couple times a year since. The gears went in the gear box and I am told the part to fix is discontinued. Very poor service on any help trying to find a replacement part. So value for your dollar watch what you buy at cabalas I would think they would try and help a guy find a replacement part for the price of the mixed. 500$ paper weight now I guess

Fraudulent and questionable business practices

Cabela's has lost my business indefinitely, multiple fraudulent and questionable business practices. This is a warning to anyone unaware of their shady conduct.

Don't let the maple leaf fool you, Cabela's is not a Canadian company nor does it have anything to do with Canadian interest in mind. They are not a member of the Retail Council of Canada, do not honour the price scanner accuracy code unlike 45,000 other Canadian business's and only exist in this country to capitalize on their bottom line.

Ordered a number of items online and in-store over the past few weeks. Online order took an entire week to reach shipping status. Cabela's broke up my order into multiple smaller shipments which resulted in a number of unrecognized transactions on my card.

Had to call their customer service and wait on hold for over half an hour to have this nasally droned customer service rep explain the reason for these non-approved transactions. Apparently they drop ship between locations and retroactively ship out items between suppliers. Something they aren't remotely transparent about which isn't just a major hassle of having your order sent to you over multiple packages and days, constantly being rescheduled but a risk of having items lost in transit as a result. So of course, some of my items weren't packaged properly damaged on arrival.

Their return policy requires you call them, again on hold over half and hour to get a return authorization all while expecting you to pay "their" supposed shipping charges from your total refund based on "their" provided shipping label.

Some items I wanted couldn't be ordered online (showing local stock only) so while being forced to wait almost two weeks for my online order to arrive I decided to drive across town to visit my local in store and the experience was just as bad.

Entering the store I was extremely frustrated finding out all items showing in-stock online were completely sold-out. As others have pointed out this is merely a rouse to get people in the store and exactly why we need consumer advocacy and consumer affair agencies to run companies like this out of Canada.

Still, it gets better. While I was there decided to pick up a Frankford Arsenal reloading tray, price on the floor said $11.99. Upon purchasing said item the receipt showed I was charged $4.99.

After asking the staff about the lower price one of the sales guys told me they hadn't bothered to change the price tags as they were on the end of a sale so decided to pick up a few more trays at the supposed "sale price". So imagine my surprise after checking out with some extra trays they rang up at $14.99 a piece. After some major back and forth, further waiting in line and a trip to customer service realized that originally instead of being charged $4.99 for the first tray I was actually charged $14.99 and the 1 was missing from the receipt. Complete false price representation.

After all the hassle and back and forth on their error they tell me they wouldn't honour the advertised price, scanner code conduct and I returned the items and left the store never to return.

Have been in touch with the RCC and Consumer Affairs Canada.

Save yourself the anguish and torture dealing with this faux company. Buyer beware, you've been warned.

Missing refund

Cabelas Canada - Missing refund

I placed an order online on August 23. The order was taking forever to ship so

I called in to have it cancelled.

Was told it couldnt be cancelled because a shipping label had already been created. I went into store to buy the product as it was for a gift and the online order wasnt going to arrive in time. I finally received the online order and promptly sent it back with the return label provided in the box. The order was sent back on September 5.

Now I know it doesnt take 23 days for UPS. There is absolutely no reason why I should still be waiting on my refund. I have sent in 3 separate emails (all with NO reply) and I have tried calling in multiple times but can never reach a representative. This is terrible customer service and an absolutely horrible customer experience for me.

I need an update on my refund immediately. Order Number: 792****

Brutal service

I dont normal complain or say anything but I figure this should be said in order to help individuals avoid the massive headache. Ordered online sept 6 figuring product should arrive before September 24th as the website says 24-48 hrs before being processed.

Have called 3 different times (and waited close to an hour each time on hold)and keep getting told its being processed at the warehouse as we speak and should ship out today. Each time was BS! Still hasnt shipped. I told them to cancel.

They said a shipping label has been printed. Again BS and they said they would cancel if they could. Probably more BS. Be aware if ordering from cableas.

They are brutal and no help.

Worst company to deal with. Definitely done with them.

Lack of products that are on sale

I have never seen such poor availability of a sale item. I have quit going to this slipshod run outfit . I have learned to phone first and then if you are lucky enough to get some one who will help you that is a start. But I have to ask why would you put something on sale and have a limited number of them, so people will buy the next expensive one what a *** show.

I ordered a shirt and the size was huge. I called in and Marilyn says she would send out a smaller shirt when the return was received by UPS. I have waited 3 weeks and I have had several excuses... Of course, nothing to do with Covid. They received the parcel and never sent the other shirt. No accountability, no apology. I have waited 2 days for the promised can from a supervisor.. No call. I will never order anything from Cabela's again.

I was in touch with the customer service team. Sadly, it took 6 weeks but in the end Cabela's worked with me to get the shirt I ordered.

I have purchased for my son many items from Cabelas as hes an outdoor enthusiast. The room I was needing was not in the store so I purchase it online and under stirred it should be delivered to the store within the five days. I look at the site again and I have different information so I called and was graded by a person who refuse to send me to a supervisor which I request it. She had mansion its the way of the world, bad customer service should not be an excuse with Covid.

Cabelas Canada - Staff service
This was my first time in Cabalas. I was with my husband so I decided to take a few pictures to send to my daughter in Alberta. As I started to take a picture, David, one of the staff jumped into my shot . I asked him to stay there so I could get him in the shot too. He was very kind and he did. Then he asked if he could help me with anything else. I said no, but my husband could use some help. He was cheerful, efficient , polite and helpful. He is a great asset to Cabalas on Cabela Road in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada.
