Shame on you!!

Stealing an artists IP by running it through AI is theft!

This site is a rag, so I shouldnt be surprised. Their coverage of everything has been trash for years.

But this is a new low.

I will have nothing to do with any AI slop on Amazon or any other distributor they utilize. I hope it fails miserably.

User's recommendation: Boycott both Buzzfeed and the show “Cupcake & Friends”

AI Highlights
  • - Unpaid Huffington Post blogger ~12 years ago; wants those essays in a collection.
  • - Copyright status unclear; HuffPost, Buzzfeed, and PARS unresponsive.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. About 12 years ago, I was an unpaid blogger for the Huffington Post.

I was simply inquiring whether or not I retained copyrights for articles I had written, or if I was going to have to pay a fee to use my own writing. I emailed perhaps a dozen times and even wrote a letter. No one would respond. After two weeks, I engaged pissed consumer, and the following day, I was contacted by Buzzfeed and finally given an answer .

. .

I did retain rights. Thanks!

I heard nothing from Buzzfeed after 9 emails and 1 letter. After pissed customer got involved, they contacted me.

They said an answer to my copyright question would be forthcoming.

Several days after that, they gave me an answer that, thankfully was satisfactory. Good work, Pissed Customer!

About 12 years ago I was an unpaid blogger for the Huffington Post. My current publisher is interested in including some of those essays I posted on the Huffpost 12 years ago in a collection of essays, but I cannot find out if I retain copyrights.

I have emailed about 9 different times to to Buzzfeed and Huffington Post, but I get no reply. I have written a letter also with no reply. I have also emailed PARS, but they only assume people who contact them do not have copyrights. When I asked them if I did, they said, "You have to contact Huffington Post." But Huffington Post does not answer!!!

I am so *** angry and frustrated that I am about to hire a copyright lawyer and have Buzzfeed pay the fees. (I have kept every unanswered email I have sent.)
Could you please give me an answer to what I thing is a very simple straightforward question?

User's recommendation: Don't be an unpaid blogger for Huffpost or Buzzfeed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Possible hiring scam; contact agentjasonbarnett77@***.com.
  • - Photo shoot in Mount Pleasant MI; $400 travel check promised, not yet received.

Investigating possible hiring scam coming from Complex Magazine. The questionable contact is a Jason Barnett, agentjasonbarnett77@***.com.

He claims to be a model agent and also claims there is an up coming photo shoot in Mount Pleasant MI and is intending on sending me a check for $400 for travel fees.

I dont believe I have received the check yet but will also investigate the name and business information on that check as well for possible identity theft.

My email is gdoran0287@***.com and my cell number is 229-548-****.

I would appreciate a call or email back on this matter. Thanks you.

Preferred solution: I simply wish to resolve the problem so that I can either move forward with the legitimate job or know that I need to continue searching for further opportunities.
