Horrible experience

Lets see. They list an item on Ebay. Top seller they claim. I buy said item. 5 days later not shipped. Messages on ebay ignored. Finally I call just to be told they don't have the item to ship. Now I need to buy elsewhere and pay overnight shipping. Unprofessional. Horrible. Stay Away

Don't expect a refund

In Sept. I purchased a costume for Halloween. I had no problems with the transaction or shipping. I received the outfit, pulled it out the package and found it was too big when I tried it on. About a week later, I ordered another one the next size down. Got that one and it fit right. I proceeded to return the first costume with in the 30 day return policy as stated on the website. About a week later, I received an e-mail that my return was received and that my refund was being processed. A little over a month later I realized I never saw my refund or had any other communication from buycostumes.com. I e-mailed the company after siting on hold for customer service for 30 mins. The next morning I had not received a response to my e-mail so I tried calling again. The guy I spoke with said he would dig into the situation and call me back. He called back and left me a message stating he had more information about my refund. Before I called him back I found a response to my e-mail stating I was not going to get a refund because there was hair on my outfit and it was deemed damaged. All I did was take it out of the package, try it on, and put it right back in the package. I had noticed it had some seams coming undone when I tried it on. I call to speak with customer service again and spoke with the supervisor that was e-mailing me. I told her that I either need my refund or my product returned to me. She told me that she would dig into it and would get back to me either that day or the next. It has been several days and I have not heard anything. I finally got a hold of them and they are still refusing to issue my refund and supposedly they threw away my items without even asking me if I would like it back. No communication was ever made to me about the fact I would not be getting a refund. So a long story short, I have not product that I paid for and no refund, so they have stolen $49 from me. What crooks.

I Received only half the items I ordered and they never responded

I ordered six party packs for 16 (which included plates, napkins, forks, spoons, cups, invitations, etc.) and I received six party packs for 8. (basically half of the order, with the exception of the items that came a fixed number per pack, such as balloons, candles, table cloth, ribbons, and whatever the decoration portion of it was.) When I tried to contact the company to let them know I only got half the order, they would not respond to any of my efforts to contact them. I called the customer service number and was placed on hold, then hung up on after holding for a long time -- three times! No one ever came to the phone. I received half of what I ordered and they never responded to my efforts to reach customer service.

I bought my son a costume on October 14th to be received no later than October 22nd. On October 24th I contact them and they tell me the costume is scheduled to ship out on Monday the 26th and I would have it no later than Wednesday. I call them Monday the 26th and they tell me that they can not give an estimate on when it will ship and offered to cancel the order. Now my son is stuck without the costume he wanted and we are scrambling for a new one. VERY DISAPPOINTED. And no offer of anything for my inconvenience, just a refund. There is also no where to issue a complaint besides customer service which will do nothing with the complaint anyhow.

I ordered my child's costume over a week again and paid extra to ensure it would get here by today...When I called, they said it had not even shipped yet!!! Not reliable....I was told the costume was in stock, but had not shipped...geezo. I will not use this company again. How can this company do business like this? Do not use them...go to Party City, or any other costume place and pick up your costume...dont use them. You can put me in the very, very, very unsatisfied company. This is the first time I've put a complaint on the web!!! Do not, i repeat, if you want a dependable company, do NOT use Buy Costumes

Failed to keep their word they would make exchange

BuyCustomes.com representative agreed to exchange my son's costume for a larger size but exact same costume. Two weeks after I returned the smaller size, they tell me that they will only give me a credit and would have to re-order the costume which was now going to cost me more b/c I had originally purchased the costume as a clearance item and now the larger size was not on clearance. This is a rip off and horrible service after being told by their own representative that they would send me the larger size and all I would have to pay was for the shipping....Can't trust anything you are told by this company and I will never purchase from them again.
