AI Highlights
  • - Reviewer criticizes Bruce Oakley and dispatchers for poor trucking knowledge.
  • - They say dispatchers can't drive and only tell drivers where to go.

Only thing I can say is Bruce Oakley is a piece of ***! Dispatchers can't even drive a truck, only thing they know is to tell a driver get the load to this address, or pickup here, so don't *** when a driver does what he has to do to get it there! No different than any other company, very few companies left that know jack *** bout trucking!

Bruce Oakley Trucking Work Experience Review from Noblesville, Indiana

AI Highlights
  • - Since June at Oakley, best job I've ever had.
  • - Left Landstar; tripled pay; respect.
  • - Great team; dispatcher excellent; handwritten thank-you card.

I've been at Oakley since June. Best job I've ever had.

I left Landstar where I was just about to starve to death I have tripled my pay gained an enormous amount of respect and even a received a handwritten thank you card from one of the staff for comments i made to a new hire at Oakley. Could not ask for a better bunch of people to work with or for. My dispatcher is excellent the pay is great and I am treated with respect.

To say otherwise is apparently someone who couldn't handle the work or the responsibility. You do represent Oakley when you're on the road and you do you have to do things right if you're prepared to do that it's a great place to be if not you'll never make it.

Reason of review:
Good customer service

Have been with Bruce Oakley for over 4 years and am well pleased. No company, no job is perfect but this is the best I have been with in all my years on the road. Life (and work) is pretty much what you make it.

Check your backbone and balls in at the door

AI Highlights
  • - They fire you for standing up and punish your DAC.
  • - Yes-men or relatives up top push pricey gear and claim ownership of trucks.

oakley trucking what a joke if you got a set on you need not to apply here.when you stand up for your self they will just simply fire your a@@ and hammer away at your DAC. Don't be folled by all the big pretty petes pulling there trailers they are all yes men or related to someone high up in the office they buy you aset of tags sell you a blower or wet kit for several thousand cost oh and then they think they own your truck.

they go through office personal about like they do drivers. and then you got the biggest to crooks of them all jeremy and manely waiting benny weatherford to retire so they can really have there way on finishing off what a really good man bruce oakley started dennis oakley owns it now but he a little to worried about where to land his hellicopter on the yard oh yeah he's to rich and good to drive to work gotta fly

I am not a yes man, have a nice Freightliner and all appendages still attached. I have been with Bruce Oakley for over years , have stood up for some issues, everything gets resolved, they treat you with respect and you must do the same.

Russell is a great Dispatcher. I do pretty good there and plan on retiring. I figure whoever posted this comment I am responding to has problems pretty much everywhere he goes.

Life and work are what you make it! Dan

I was with Oakley for 10 an a half years' I retired, then after 2 years in retirement I came back. I did hoppers I did sand and over the road dirt tank.

Of my 45 years over the road driving trucks Bruce Oakley has been my best choice. If you have a complaint talk to them not get mad an yell. The dispathers will work things out with you. No matter where you work in life there will always be issues, work it out with the company.

these people at Oakley are just like you and I. They have families they need to support also.

Guest

To be honest I would to if I had that kind of money and you would to and you know it.l9l

Well I have read both reviews and would agree with the positive comment, as far as the negative review must be new in the trucking industry, there will always be something disappointing with any career,,probably one of drivers that would complain about a 10 pound bass. Obviously some jealousy going on there to make a statement about his personal helicopter.

Well maybe go try to get a pilots license, and then come back after you fail your test and an apology would be in order for your shortcomings.

Just saying!!!! Driver 7799

They do charge for the wet kit. It's 3500 to 4k.

That was as of March. Decent company good miles and good pay. Tell them how you want to run and they will bend over backwards to help you out. Word of advice stick with paper logs.

They will sell you in oreintation on the E-logs.

Best I have done was 670 miles in an 11 hr shift on e-logs. And that was once.

Guest

Agreed, this corporate office is full of liars. You are not an owner operator here you are a slave to oakley under the threat of being fired at any time. Jeremy Keller is the cliché car salesman.

Guest

Your a dumb ***. Oakley is a great company

Guest

Going to lease on with oakley the 22nd maybe sooner. People seem nice to deal with.

Driver I've talked to say all good things. Never pulled a bulk tank before but ready for a good change.

Guest

What kind of pay can an owner op expect from Oakley?

Guest

Guest

Guest

i left oakley two years ago. It was the best trucking job i have ever had.

Money was great people were too, sure they have problems but all are always willing to help and listen. if i ever get back in trucking they will be my first and only call.

Guest

Oakley no longer charges for wet kits. Oakley has one of the best pay structure in the industry.

Dennis flies his heli-copter to the office because he can. No matter what badhabits says this company treats their O/O'S like family and understands the needs of the O/O'S.
