I want to send a thank you to Joseph Dawson and Sugarmill Woods Pool & Spa for the work done to resurface and remodel our pool and deck. From help with picking out the tile, pebble pool finish and pavers to a professional installation and great response when we had questions. The entire experience has been a very pleasurable one. Mikes Pools in Greenville, South Carolina - Mike's Pools did not finish the job

I have tried the BBB also. But wanted people to know that Mike sells pools. If you want installation I would check around! That part of his business sucks. They left such a mess and had to replumb the thing 4 times and then this yr I had to have it done again by someone else. Use Sunpoint Pools. They are so helpful and nice there. They are the ones that have helped me get the pool done right and also helped with the use of chemicals etc. The installation costs as much as the pool and believe me I could have done a better job not knowing a thing about it.

Jeff Kerber Pool Plastering in Los Angeles, California - Kerber Pools-Faulty installation of pool plaster & tile- did not waterproof

They dont know what they are doing! The pool glass plaster was installed and it completely de-laminated from the pool resulting in cracking and leakage; they did not waterproof behind the tile, resulting in leaking of water behind the tile and into the concrete which then caused damage to the entire deck. They installed the concrete at different times, so the concrete is different colors, and it is cracking all over the place. The gas line to the fire pit was not installed correctly and continues to fill with water and doesnt work. They did not install the thickness of the concrete that was contracted for in the contract!

Blue World Pools in Edwardsville, Illinois - GREAT POOL

we are very happy with our pool... we have lots of fun... very fast installation... WE LOOK FORWORD TO MANY YEARS OF FUN... and would recomend our pool to anyone. we have a classic model with an ionizer that helps keep the water nice and clear which means almost no chemicals just put in 2 gallons of clorox bleach a week and your done.. but the warranty is great i dont think you can beat it... Ovresized frames, coated wide wall rims, and 9-layer corrugated walls ensure that your pool will endure the change of seasons as well as the busy summer season, year after year. thanks BLUE WORLD POOLS sincerely jason & misty stagner ILLINOIS

My Positive Experiances with Blue World Pools, INC.

I am not pissed at all, but I am here to provide accolades about Blue World Pools and the great experiences I have had with them. My wife and I traveled a lot while I was in the Army and twice we lived in homes that had in ground pools. We didn't think we would ever be in the market for a pool again, especially an above ground pool. There were a number of reasons but the top two were: maintenance costs and labor. It also was more difficult to sell the house, which was not what I had expected. Later when we rented a home with an in ground pool, again the costs for chemicals was more than we were prepared for. So when I retired and we bought our final home, we did a lot of researching and finally asked a representative from Blue World Pools to give us a visit. From the moment he began his briefing, we knew that we were getting a professional. We ended up with a 25 foot deluxe pool. The installation went without a hitch. The installers worked in 90 degree heat, but that didn't cause them to take short cuts. They had survey equipment to make sure the ground was very level. The instructions for the initial set up were very easy to follow. Everything was provided. The set up went as smoothly and we had a fully functional and clear pool to swim in within 24 hours. After a couple of months we noticed a slight algae problem. I followed the instructions but left out a very important step with caused the green water to circulate back into the pool making it worse. I called Blue World Pools and was talked through the steps until I found my error. It was a bit embarrassing, but the water became very clear and has not clouded up since. It has become like the claims say. Very little maintenance or chemicals required and the waters cleaner than any pool water I have ever seen. The company is full of professionals that make you feel as though you are their only customer. I have recommended Blue World Pools to my friends and family and if you knew me you would know that I don't recommend easily.

This is the owners father, Joseph Dawson Sr. I have no idea who wrote this, but I have a good idea.

More than likely, it was a competitor. Being a home owner myself, I would have given my name, in order to give some kind validity to this complaint. First of all, when my son started his business, I taught him to treat every complaint, valid or invalid, as though you were Walmart: The customer is always right, even if they are wrong. There aren't very many complaints, and I am aware of each and every one, but they are minor and addressed immediately.

I'd like to address a few of this "customers" issues. My son always offers potential clients the opportunity to see some of his completed pools. And, since I am with him the majority of the time, I know this to be true. I have been with him, along with customers, many times, inspecting completed jobs.

The muriatic acid is poured into the deep end of the pool while it is circulating, not laid on its side and brushed, in order to circulate. The tile work, pavers, etc. are all performed at different times and in the proper order. I'd like to know why this "customer" didn't complain before we moved on to the next phase.

If all this really happened, why would you want to look at completed pools after the work had started and gone this far? I would want to see them before materials were even brought to the job site.

And finally, after all this, and littering his property, why would anyone want to go out to lunch with my son? I know I wouldn't!

That is a ridiculous complaint and bad health or not is not their fault. You can't hold them responsible to extend their offer for an additional two years.

You seem rather ungrateful to complain about a company that offered you this service two years prior. This was your fault, not theirs.

Blue Haven Pools in Mobile built my pool in Dec 2010. The first issue is I had is that I had to pay an additional fee for having the heater connected to the gas line.

My question is why wasn't this charge added to the overall cost of the pool so Im making only ONE payment. I mean seriously why would you purchase a heater and not have it connected? That's like going to a car dealership and buy a car and them telling you the tires cost extra.

Secondly, my pool pump motor went out so I called Blue Haven to obtain the model number, etc to purchase a replacement motor being that I never obtained any warranty paperwork.

After explaining to the representative from Blue Haven pools who I was and when my pool was completed I was not even informed that the pump motor was still under warranty. After contacting Splash pools in Spanish Fort they advised me that the pump was still covered being that it was a Hayward pump. I do not recommend Blue Haven pools period.

If your in the Mobile, Al area I recommend using Splash pools. They have been SUPER!!!!

PMI Pool services gauranteed my new liner installation

PMI Pool services was recommened to me my Service Magic. I had my new liner installed in March which was way to cold to get in the water. The first part of April my son and is friends got in the pool and complained about rocks poking thru the liner. When I called Mike he said no problem that once I got in the water and checked it out he would do whatever he needed to fix it. This weekend I got in the pool and not oly are there rocks everwhere there a big hugh divets where the didn't bother to level it out. I called Mike and he came out today stood at the edge of the pool and says looks fine to me. God forbid should he get his feet wet and actually get in the pool to see what was wrong. Now I am out 600.00 dollars and a child could have done better than that. Very disappointed in PMI POOL SERVICES AND SERVICE MAGIC will never recommend them to anybody especially after he said he would guarentee the installation that if I was not happy he would fix it. Well I am not happy and apparently his guarentee is a lie. Details of what i am going to do to follow .....
