Will not honor written contract
- - Washer stopped working after a week in the home.
- - The warranty runs 4/24/2020 to 4/24/2021.
- - They won't replace due to pre-existing condition.
I was in my new home for a week, when the washer quite working. The warranty was provided for 4/24/2020 thru 4/24/2021, they stated they will not replace the washer and considered it a pre existing condition, because they stated they did not receive payment from the title company till 5/1/2020.
The contract they sent me, is clearly written with an effective and expiration date. They will do everything to get out of honoring their contracts.
When I called the office, the ladies there were very rude as well, and would not let me get a word in edgewise. They were also rude with my realtor, when she called to find out what the issue was and why they were not replacing as their contract states.

- - Tech refused the repair, saying it's too hard for one person; quoted $695 for a covered repair.

Scheduled a/c repair. Tech shows up and states he will not do the repair as it is too difficult for one person.
He calls office, then states there would be a $695.00 charge to do the "normal covered repair", he was hostile and belligerent. Office staff, knowing a/c is out of freon, states, "have a wonderful day". Manager Steve Ferguson is rude, argumentative, and states do you want a refund of the policy? (Have policy 3-4 years with minimal repairs) Regional Manager, Larry Herd states the owner is my brother.
Sarah (Herd) who responds to online complaints states she would inform the owner/president and have response in morning: no response. Sarah then states the VP has the info and will respond in the morning: no response. Broward Factory Service is d/b/a for Herd Enterprises Inc.
If you experience similar treatment, please file a complaint, class action lawsuit. DO NOT accept a refund, force Broward Factory Service to honor the Home Warranty contract you paid for.

Upsell instead of honoring contract

I called regarding a dripping bathroom sink faucet. Plumber came and said that he could not fix it and if I bought a faucet he would install it as part of the visit.
I purchased a replacement faucet from Home Depot, called Broward and they said it would cost me $125 to install it.
Contract says no charge. They refused to honor what the plumber told me and will not install the faucet at no charge

A complete No SHOW

- - Waited 1.5 weeks for a tech who never showed; office promised arrival by 5 pm.
After being a long-time customer, I called them about a simple dryer heating element repair - even gave them the model number for reference. Tech showed - he knew nothing about nothing.
Ended up waiting 1 1/2 weeks for a technician who NEVER showed despite me waiting for over 6 hours. Office kept promising he'd show up - right up to their 5 pm closing time. A complete no show.
Worthless. I deserve, in fact, everyone deserves better treatment . This will be my last year with Broward Factory Service - they screwed me on my Air Conditioning replacement
policy - actually wanting to charge me MORE than I ended up paying to have it replace by an outside company. Total scam artists.
