Took my 2015 Jeep Renegade to Brooklyn Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram to have a check engine light issue addressed and have a key fob programmed. I knew what was causing the check engine light to be on as I have a device in my car sold by Verizon called "Hum which told me on my cell phone that I had a small leak in my Evaporative purge system. My appointment for service was 9/9/2020 at 10:15 and I arrived at the dealership at 9:45 but had to wait in a line of cars to get my service written up at 10:40. I was told at that time that they could not promise that they would be finished with the service that day. They were correct and they were also not finished with the service the following day. I should mention that I did not purchase my Jeep from this dealership but rather got it at Bayridge CJDR which is now out of business. I did contact my service advisor by text message on Thursday to find out the status but didn't hear back. On Friday I contacted my service advisor and heard back from her at about 10:45 that my car was ready. I took a car to the dealership and arrived at about 12:30. I approached my service advisor who said I would have to give them about another hour. About 2:20 my service advisor advised that my car was done. They had also determined that my battery had a low charge so I had approved the replacement of my battery. My total bill came to over $600. Which I paid and left immediately as I had another appointment at 3 PM. Upon arriving home I realized that they had removed my "Hum" device from my car as my phone showed my car parked at the dealership. I text messaged my service advisor telling her I was pretty upset about this situation but they are closed today (will open tomorrow, Sunday) and got an auto text response that they would get back to me on Sunday. All in all a pretty unsatisfying service experience and I still have to get my Hum device back which I pay a monthly service fee for. I was also told that my MOPAR extended warranty did not cover any of the costs of service I had done. Thanks for asking for a follow up on my service experience. Ted Tedesco
