Maintenance problems
They tore up my kitchen, took months to get fixed still not finish. They had to cut off my countertops now they say its not in the budget to repair them.
Run Away
Lived in a ground floor apartment. Every time it rained my apartment flooded. Poor plumbing and backed up lines cause my tub and bathroom sink to flood when the upstairs neighbors used theirs and the same in the kitchen with the sink and dishwasher.
The finally snaked the plumbing line after making me wait 3 days because they didn’t want to pay a plumber extra to come in on the weekend.
They never fixed the problem with it flooding when it rains and eventually stopped showing up to even shop vac the water. Carpets are now black with mold.
Gave my 60 day notice to terminate at the end of my lease term. My lease is up Nov 30. Went in a couple of days ago and someone had been in. Items are missing, all the lights were on, and the heat had been turned way up. Was never contacted by anyone that they would be entering. Have been over there past 3 nights to finish up so I have time to get in and clean and patch nail holes, etc.
Property manager just called me asking if I had moved out yet and telling me she wanted to check before she let maintenance in there and changed the locks. Informed her that my lease wasn’t up until the 30th and she seemed to think that was a rude answer. I also informed her that some of my belongings had already been taken out of the apartment to which she replied that nothing had been trashed because she didn’t have a key.
Liars and horrible managers (there’s been 3 in the 2 years I lived there) and the owner doesn’t care abour thr property.
RUN AWAY!!! It is definitely not worth the price of rent.
- Easy access to highway
- Management
- Maintence
Dirty nogood people cullur management
Roach infested, out dated appliences, outdated cabnets, very poor repairs if any is done, an mananger is the biggest liet ever!! THE PUBLIC BY PASS BRODWAY RIDGE APTS!!!
Terrible
Rented from them and honestly can’t wait to move. Worst apartment I’ve been in ever.
Terrible experience her
The apartments are over priced. Thr tenants rent happy about the management which has been the same.
And the good reviews are false. They are from fake accounts which makes posts on all their propertys accounts.
Not safe for young children or those sensitive to tobacco smoke
Of all the apartments I've rented, I've honestly had the worst experience at Broadway Ridge. The buildings are old, so if anyone below you smokes, even if you are on the third floor and they are on the first (as in our case), the smoke rises into your apartment and fills anywhere from 50-90% of your home.
Our son was two months old when we moved there, so we tried to work with management to come up with a solution so that neither he nor we would be subjected to the smoke. Long story short, they told us that they weren't required by law to do anything more than they had done (they spoke to neighbors about smoking in the common areas). They eventually offered to allow us to move to a first floor apartment, but that came with the caveat that there were also smokers in that building and they couldn't guarantee that we would not have the same problem. Months passed and we heard nothing more about moving to the new apartment.
We eventually decided to break our lease, which of course led to us having to pay the $1580 early termination fee. The day after we signed our early termination agreement, Spencer (management) suddenly came up with the solution of having us move to another one of his properties.
We felt like this option could have been mentioned before (but, of course, it wasn't) and that, for them, it was all about the money. I'd say, if you are sensitive to tobacco smoke, have a young child, or want a maintenance team that actually fixes things the first time around, save yourself the trouble and don't move to Broadway Ridge.
- Easy access to highway
- Poorly-functioning washing machine
- Common areas dirty
- Rundown appliances
DO NOT MOVE HERE
Maintenance will take forever to fix a problem. Management is VERY combatative!
Everything is your fault! Avoid this place like the plague, because they are the worst landlords I have ever experienced (and I am not young). Believe nothing they tell you, because everything will change once you move in. The property manager comes across as very sweet, but she is nothing of the kind.
Once you move in, she treats you like you are an opponent and her first response with any problem is "eviction". They accept no responsibility for the *** appliances they provide that will cost you money. Fridge *** out 3 times -- 2 days / 2 days / 5 days to come fix it. Cost us about $150 each time to replace groceries.
They say we over-filled the freezer causing it to freeze up and it is our fault (not the *** refridgerator) for the problem.
DO NOT MOVE HERE -- YOU WILL REGRET IT MORE THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE!!! (Gladstone MO)
- Combatative manager
- Rundown appliances
- Broken pool
Preferred solution: let us out of our lease (not negative) so they/we can be happy

Verified Reviewer | Gladstone, MissouriHorrible apartment complex
I have been in this complex for 6 months and I must say that it's not the worst but certainly not the best especially for the price.I broke my lease it was so bad I don't believe in trash talking a business but danm this place was bad. The history of this complex is horrifying, its why they changed the name cause the "new management" is actually the same property owner's : (who owned this building before the name changed) son .
Yes I said it son. The large newly renovated banner in front of the building facing Broadway drew my attention. The place looked Olay from the initial walk through what sealed the deal for me Spencer (property manager) said that renovations were going from building to building and mines would be next as long as I didn't mind rearranging my furniture. So I left a lot of my belongings in boxes thank god I did it made my move out of there easy.
My main issues were the carpets smelled of pets cats and dogs in certain places even though the carpet was "new".
The bed room Windows were very out dated and let cold air into my house if my heat wasn't on 80 my room would be freezing cold in the winter. I had to put bags over all Windows how ugly is that! Good thing I have beautiful curtains. My dishwasher frequently backed up.
I'm not a handy woman and neither is my daughter or my boyfriend but dank I've never had a dish washer fill with water over night. I was on the second floor of a half empty apartment building. I called the manager and he I don't use it enough and that it was something I did. My girl is in middle school and I'm an adult we know what and what not to put in a sink (trust me my boyfriend and I has had plenty of convos about that) my largest concern was the pop Corn ceilings in the bathroom that grew mold, and the old roach dripping that was in the knooks and crannies of the counters and sink.
The only benefit was the parking lot was quiet. Except for when the other complexes were making a lot of noise. I broke y lease on a technicality. Thankfully.
The only thing the renovated was the paint job on the outside and woodsticks on the door ways. This place is old ran down and poorly managed. Save your time and money.
I would rather move to my mother's than pay to live in a dump. And my house never received any renovations during my tenancy.
- Easy access to highway
- Diverse people
- I enjoyed the quiet neighborhood
- Maintence
- Lieing manager
- Rude letters from management
Preferred solution: just to allow every one to know about this property.

Apartment Construction Review
I had *** in wall that went outside. He refused to Fix it.
After walking on a freezing floor, and paying extremly high electric I fixed my self. Then told him to take it out the rent. He evicted me. These apartments are dumps.
I have a long list of issues that needed to be fixed as well as a couple other tenants I was only there 3 months. Ask prior tenants before leasing

Jeff and Janelle, we are sorry that you left unsatisfied with your apartment and experience. We really did try hard to work within our parameters to make you happy.
In our 60+ correspondences, we tried to do everything we could to address your situation and make you happy. We sent maintenance to your apartment over 10 times to see if we could replicate the smoke smell. We resealed every area in your apartment to keep anything we could out as a preventative measure, we researched smoke filtering systems (that you didn't want to use because of the potential electricity use), we put up notices to all your neighbors asking them to smoke outside, we even offered to let you move to a first floor apartment as soon as one became available.
Due to our occupancy being high and our first-floor units being extremely popular, we told you it could take a few months for one to become available.
When you decided you didn't want to wait and came in to sign your notice to vacate. Shortly after that, we received a notice to vacate from a tenant of a town home at another property that they were going to move out. I immediately thought of you as this town home did not have any neighbors above or below them and offered it to you.
We told you that if you transferred, we could do away with the early termination fee.
You again declined our offer. Again, we are sorry that we could not meet your needs.
We will work even harder in the future to make sure we an provide the very best service possible. Best of luck in your new home!
