Resolved: Service

AI Highlights
  • - New boiler installed January 2024; radiator replacement advised.
  • - An engineer will assess radiator replacement; appointments were canceled.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Cam and sorted out problem

Original review Sep 25, 2024
Had a new boiler installed in January 2024 and was advised that the radiator in the bathroom would need to be replaced. Recently, I contacted British Gas to inquire about the replacement, only to be informed that this would need to be assessed by an engineer.

I arranged an appointment and waited in for 5 hours, only for it to be cancelled at the last minute. It was then rearranged for the next available slot and now the engineer will assess and decide if the radiator can be replaced, then there will be another wait. We have had British Gas insurance for over 15 years and potentially paid over £3000. Was it worth it?

By the way, our first response from British Gas was that we would have to pay. I don't think we would recommend British Gas for boilers etc., but it's okay for supply.
Pros:
  • Ok with supply
Cons:
  • Not good on after care

Preferred solution: Some decent compensation for the hassle and agrivation
