Terrible experience, expensive windows
July 2017: first of all we had them come to give us a quote because we won a $500 gift card for windows. What a terrible mistake!
They had to go through all their sales spiel & were here for 3 hrs & we hadn't even saw the window samples yet! Then the supervisor (who showed up 20 mins in) kept interrupting the poor salesman with his own comments, & got angry when we tried to speed things up a little! It had been 3 hrs!! No pricing!!!
no looking at window samples!!! & They were not even finished yet! We made the supervisor angry, & he got rude & they left!! So they had to come back to give their quote!
(My husband wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt!) I have 5 windows to replace, granted 3 are fairly big windows but we didn't want anything fancy! $12,000!! Seriously?? We had already had a quote for $2000!!
Granted the higher prices ones were triple pane instead of double but we still about fell in the floor! Our house is probably only worth about $50,000! Then low & behold he says let me talk to my boss, I can get u a really good deal!! If u commit to buy today I can do them for $8300!
Amazing! We said we weren't interested & the price dropped that much?! What is up with that?! Then we said we wanted to get a few more estimates ( never having bought windows before we had no idea if that was fair or not!) Then he got very rude & said u can only get that deal if u commit right now?!
Tomorrow it goes back to $12000?! Really?!! Then he said if I had known u wouldn't commit today I wouldn't have wasted my time trying to get u a good deal!
I would never deal with this company! I feel bad for all the poor people who are not as diligent as us who fall for their spiel & way over pay for their windows because they make it sound like they are getting such a great deal!!
Phone calls
constantly get calls from 402-435-****. spoke with a james and didnt seen very interested in my displeasure, said he was doing surveys in the area and it was legal to call.
i researched it and it is not legal please quit calling me.
I even went as far as to schedule them to come out just to tell them i didnt want any more phone calls. reported to bbb, didnt help, im out of options maybe this will do the trick and help others avoid this harrassment
Bristol windows Stop Calling Me surveys are illegal
I get calls from bristol windows in lincoln ne and when i say im on the do not call list they tell me its just a survey, its illegal, one of the phone numbers is 402-438-****. I have reported to bbb, attorney general.
They have called family and friends and say same thing. Trying to get around the dnc but its not legal.
How is it a survey when they try to sell me windows on the same phone call that was a survey. Please follow the law

I have all Bristol Windows in my home & also 2 of their doors & sliding glass doors. I know the price can sound high but that's only because those companies selling cheap windows make it seem like they are good quality when they really aren't.
You pay more upfront for them of course but the savings alone in my heating & electric bills paid for them alone and then I will never have to do the project again. I got sick of replacing junk cheap windows every couple years when they don't open & I've had my Bristol windows installed for 15 years, no problems at all. My home is heated with oil & I went from 3 tanks of oil per winter to 1 after installing the Bristol Triple panes. My house is quite large & I pay no more than $200/month electric in the summer when running central air when my bill used to be $330/month.
You do the math. The sales process can be longer than companies with a cheap window because how much can you brag about when you're selling a cheap window that barely even works? I actually appreciate that they were detailed because I knew exactly what I was getting & was able to make an informed decision.
To each his own but for anyone reading this, I love my Bristol Windows & the installers were efficient, cleaned up better than any installers I've seen & do quality work. So pay $5000 through a cheap window, save some money upfront but then $5000 times doing cheap windows every 10-15 years for the next 50 years (which is how long my warranty is good for) and not save any money on your utilities or pay $12000 upfront and not have to go through the hassle again because I'll be dead before these windows break.
I read this just before their sales rep showed up at my door. He came 45 minutes early.
I told him to come back in 45 minutes (we hadn't eaten dinner yet). I'm going to tell him we have to leave at 7pm, so he only has 30 minutes to talk.
We want to cut to the chase. Thanks for the warning.
