AI Highlights
  • - Jim, Bright Star’s Venice owner, is rude.
  • - His wife, the co-owner, is nice.
  • - Employees are overworked.
  • - There were no-shows with no calls.

Bright Star owner Jim in Venice is extremely RUDE and confrontational , argumentative and dishonest. His wife and co owner is very nice.

Employees are disrespected, overworked. Many no shows at our home and no calls. I dreaded having to call the office. Caregivers are sometimes whiny crybabies like complaining of a urine smell when they first arrive ( elderly disabled incontinent client DUH!) or they have mosquitos!

Our regular caregiver Pam was excellent but when she was found to be looking for another job the owners made her life *** This company filed false charges of sending a NURSE so wanted VA to PAY when actually NO NURSE was EVER sent nor needed! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

User's recommendation: TERRIBLE COMPANY

Poor service

AI Highlights
  • - Protection was billed on the wrong device for over a year due to Brightstar.
  • - Claim showed no Note 10 on file; replacement shipped was an S10 Plus.

Approximately one year ago I upgraded my phone from a Google pixel 2XL to a Samsung note 10 plus model sm-n975w. At the same time my wife upgraded her phone to a Samsung s10 plus.

The note 10 plus got added to the account, followed by my wife's s10 plus which was supposed to replace my old phone(the pixel 2 xl), but instead the brighstar rep replaced my new phone( the note 10 plus). So for over a year I was paying protection on the wrong device at fault of brightstar, not Roger or myself. As the Roger's rep caught the mistake and to his and my understanding we thought it got fixed. But clearly it did not.

As approximately 1 month ago I cracked the front glass on my note 10. And when I went to file a request they said I did not have a note 10 on file. Only a note 10 plus and pixel 2 xl. I then got transfered to a supervisor, whom I gave the imei number off of the note 10 plus I should have had coverage on all along and made a claim.

4 days late I finally received my replacement device only to find that I had been shipped an s10 plus.. at this point I was fed up and just bought out of my contract and got a new phone.

At this point it wasn't worth the hassle anymore as I felt there was no way that brighstar would make things right. I had lost all faith in what I understood to be a decent company who has helped me out in the past.

User's recommendation: Either make sure you have protection on the correct device or choose another provider

Purchase of a cell phone that came to me and was not in a working condition.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Phone screen froze and could not answer calls; issues persisted.
  • - Paid $169.50 for replacement; shipped non-working phone with bad LCD; seeks refund.

It started out that my phone wasnt working oroperly. I could not see anything on the screen, phone froze, was unable to answer the phone when it rings could not do a screen shot, it took screen shots by itself, it would just go off and other things too.

I called up brite star they supply me with a code for repair.

upon doing so i decided not to take the ohone to have it repair for that would leave me without a phone for work. So i took the next option which i oayed $169.50 and Brite star would shipped out a ohone to me. Brite star shipped a phone to me that was not working. Lcd screen was bad.

Brite star agent ask me to take the phone to have it repair instead of shipping a working phone out to me. I took the phone down to the klinik the next day and have it repair. Giving thè situation i think that Britestar should returned my full $169.50 to me. Even if they minus a repair fee; after all the phone sent to

me wasnt in a working condition.

I didnt for a second gotten the use of that phone. So might as well i bear it out and wait for the repar of my phone. I spent several hours waiting for repair to done on my phone. .

I called Brite star back and was speaking to the rep. And he wouldnt let me speak he spoke over me all the time. As if he was taunting me, making fun of me. I am not happy with the service and Therefore Brite star should returned my money to me.

The rep also told me that the only way i can get my money back is to send the repair ohone back to Brite stair and they will set up another repair for order for me and in time will return my $169.50 to me. I think it would be easy to minus the $50.00 plus tax from the $169.50 and send the balance back to me. Brite star company are a bunch of thieves and should be put out of business.

Crooks!!! Fido and rogers should step in and do something about this affiliate insurance company of theirs, unless Togers and Fido gave these insurance company permission to treat their customer the way they are treating them.

Don’t get hooked by Brightstar

AI Highlights
  • - Signed up with Brightstar via Target and they told me only my husband could cancel.
  • - Two emails said cancellation and a charge appeared next month.

I signed up with Brightstar when we bought a phone through Target. I wanted to cancel after two years and they said I couldn’t because my husband was the only one who could.

He wasn’t even with me when I bought the phone. They were very rude but I got two emails saying they had canceled the service. The next month they charged my account again.

When I called they said I lied about the emails and that I couldn’t cancel the account. Don’t ever give a this company your bank account number.
