Poor customer service and package change

On March 25, 2017, I signed up with Spectrum based on their Bundle offers. Was told it would be around $120 per month with 4 TV's. 1st bill was $175+ with installation extras. Second bill was $127+. Today, I found out that the Golf Channel had been dropped from my Spectrum Select package. After 1 month and that I would have to change to the Digi Tier 1 package to get it back for an additional $12.95 per month. This is crazy. No one I have talked to seems to want to do any thing about this injustice or care for that matter. Being such a new customer, the Golf Channel should have been, at least, grandfathered for the 1st year. I am very disappointed in Spectrum thus far and how I have been treated and would not be able to recommend them to anyone.

I am a Bright House customer for 10 years, this month Spectrum customer services called me and offered me a higher speed for lower price, the deal was Spectrum 60 MBPS for $44.99 per month instead of Brighthouse 20 MBPS for $58.28, I said ok, the technician came the following day and took off the Brighthouse router and installed the Spectrum new router. I don't feel any different in the internet speed at all same as the other residents who switched to Spectrum, I have checked it byself using the internet speed meter in different days/times and found it no more than 40 MBPS and I never seen 100 MBPS or even 50 MBPS.

Contacted their customer services many times till finally recognized that the service offered is not what we agreed over the phone! they said I have now 100 MBPS for $64.99 per month however I never seen any different in the speed. I said this is not the deal and my bill is reflecting %82.16 per month. Don't know how or why!!!

They said sorry we can't do anything about it. Currently, I will have to pay $82.16 monthly for 40 MBPS or cancel their ******* service. The customer service told me, If I cancelled the service, I will have to stay without service for 30 days because they will flag my address and even Spectrum third party like Time Warner and Charter Cable Internet can't give me service for 30 days too. Be aware that no Verizon coverage in most of 33626 zip code and that's why they took advantage of us.

Be careful if ther sneaky customer services called you and you live in 33626 say no!!! no matter what service you have from Brighthouse will be better in price/speed and don't be a victim of Spectrum's scam like me and end up paying 3 times their actual charge which is $29.99 per month.

The WORST customer service ever!!!!

I am so sicken at how these *** people hiding behind the phone have a job..they have no respect for the people who are putting a paycheck in the pocket! You know that is what pays their bills and puts food on their tables..it just isn't a job!!!! Brighthouse customer service was one of the best and I truly miss the compassion those folks had for their customers. When you call with a problem now, Spectrum doesn't care, you are just another number. They gave me the same excuse that "my promotion had expired in January and that is why my bill went up"...really? That's funny cause you just told me my promotion didn't expire til 2018, last time I checked it is 2017!!! I along with everyone else I have talked to have gotten letters in the mail with this same excuse that our promotions have expired and our bills are increasing, some from just $10 dollars a month up to as much as $60 dollars more a month!! When you ask for a supervisor, good luck, you will never get there!! My husband and I will be looking to go to DirectTV or DishNetwork, as this company doesn't deserve our business!! RIP Brighthouse!! You are very much missed :(

I took Time Warner Cable (Now Spectrum) to Small Claims Court and won my case over a promotional price. I ended up being given 4 years of Triple Play for $99 monthly BECAUSE I had saved ALL paperwork from them where it showed the length of my Promotional Pricing to be 48 months instead of the usual 12 months.

Keep paying the bill but file for a court date with your Cable Company and go prepared with as much paper from them as you can.

Always get your bills on paper with Utility Companies including Cable so you can have tangible written evidence of what in your case, the promotion entails each month. If you have written evidence of this contract until 2018, simply bring it with you - the win will be easy and you will feel so GREAT for winning against them.

Poor customer service in temple terrace branch. The manager out loud accused me of my social security number and he mentioned another customer name to me THAT i switch the number since they are one number away from mine. first of all why would he mentioned a customer name to me. Secondly he had no permission to go in another customer file since they were not present. Thirdly he should call the social security office and asked why did they give two people social security number that are one away from each other since he want to be the judge.

Manager accused me infront of customers switching social security number with he mantioned the name on a previous address. He asked for my drivers licence rhen try to stick a 10 year bill on my current bill. He abused his power that day and went beyond what a manager supose to do. He try to be a persecutor, juror and judge. The temple terrace location was the worst.

The new name is Spectrum. But today I learned this is a legal name for Brighthouse Jr. Horrible customer service. I made an appointment an was told because their soft credit check showed that I owed the company NO money that I was eligible for billing an would not have to pay the upfront payment to the installer.. Well low an behold when I checked my bank account the next day I see that BH had already taken the money from my debit card. When I called of course they played stupid an said that customer service would never use "billing" because it was not their policy.. "The Supervisor" had silly explanations for why this unauthorized money was taken before the pay date. I simply asked for a refund an cancellation of any future service. I can already see that they are on the same nonsense that their sister company was on an refuse to waste anymore of my time talked to several reps mostly pointless conversations where they are clueless an not helpful at all.. one rep named Tracey seemed helpful yet still no refund.. anothet supposed "supervisor" named Danielle offered silly excuses and a ID number of 145**** yet still no refund .. Horrible discusting customer service.

Bright House Networks - Internet Service Review

For the past few months my internet would stop working randomly, when I call bright house/spectrum they would say they see nothing wrong and make me try and rest all my devices as well as the router (I'd do it although I know it wouldn't work) and every time I get the issue I'd call in to see if it would make a difference. Finally today I come home to my alarm blaring and my home and internet not working. (I thought someone tried to break in) when I realized that my internet is not working and saw that's what tripped my alarm. I've been calling brighthouse repeatedly trying to get the situation solved but they are not helping and they don't seem interested in helping. Switching to spectrum is the WORST thing brighthouse could have done. I've been with them for 11+ years and they don't care and do not want to help!!!!!

The Lights Are Out In Brighthouse, Since Spectrum Took Over

I am a customer in Winter Garden Florida who started service in October of 2016 in a new development, which is still under construction. Since the inception of my service there has been a problem with signal strength, which was often non-existent. It has always been a wiring issue that even after multiple calls to technical support, letter to customer service, visits to my house, digging up the street in front and putting in new wire, still no signal. I am willing to be patient, as it is tough to wire a new development. However, I have been a customer for almost three months and paid them almost $300.00 for service I never had and a pending bill of $134.00. It took me six days and multiple calls to speak to a billing supervisor to get credit. On January 6, 2017, I spoke to supervisor "Drew P", thinking that there would be no problem getting credit for not having service. It was like talking to a robot. She said I only had one service call and she could not offer any credit. I told her it would take her one telephone call to her own company to see that her records were wrong. She basically insinuated that I was lying and said she could only give me a courtesy credit of $20.00. I again asked her to check Technical Support and the company that handles their wiring issues and she would see that she was wrong. Her response "do you want the $20.00 or not". This arrogance is a result of a big company like Spectrum taking over and there not being an alternative for cable service. Before signing up with them, do yourself a favor, "don't sign up".

The Usual Conundrum

We've lived in a dozen locations around USA, Canada and Europe. Spectrum/ Brighthouse TV and Phone services are acceptably reliable but do experience problems. The internet is a different story. Even at the upgraded lighting package, it drops daily and has been doing so for 3.5 years. Service came out without improvement. Routers were changed and lines tested. Prices also tend to get jacked to an unreasonable rate annually forcing a call to the customer service every 12 or so months. The good - access to TV services on the internet/ PC/ Mac. Other than this - it's the same bull with these cable companies include Brighthouse or Spectrum.

Hello. My grand daughter passed away and I called and explained this to a representative. They didn't even try to help me when I told them what happened. I wanted to setup payment arrangements. The turned off my service and I was very hurt. We have custody off her son and they just want there money. I feel like with a crisis like this that they would understand but they didn't. It is sad when companies don't care about there customers. I hope that this doesn't happen to anybody else.

Brighthouse Spectrum with bait and switch

This conversion from ATT to BrightHouse, now Spectrum has been a total switch and bait process. I want what I signed for.

The salesman was in my house and I explained what I WANTED. He intern explained I would only be able to set the recording on one DVR but I could only view on the other 2 DTAs (paused, rewind, and fast forward) as with ATT. Now I'm told that they don't have the Voyager System so they are unable to comply.

I was offered features at a certain price. I signed the agreement only now to find they need more money to get the features.

I'm first to admit I have limited knowledge of the inner circle of technology but I know I showed him on the (ATT) system what I wanted so there was no room for a misunderstanding. The salesman had to leave and come back the next day. He stated he needed to run this by his supervisor. So the following day returned stated this service agreement addresses my concerns so I signed the Service Agreement and set an installation for 10/21/16.

Looking back; I totally feel it was their intentions to bait and switch me.

On the phone for sales I got right through, for customer service it’s a nightmare in trying to resolve this matter. I've been put on hold, disconnected, referred to other people who could not help. I have been on the phone for hours (7) with no one person taking on the responsibility.

Shame on Spectrum, I want everyone to know of the illegal practices and get them to be held accountable.

Being ripped off!

I have been Brighthouse costomer for years. Always paid on time.

Now they are Spectrum and two people i know are new to them because i recommended them. So they have the same package as me and are paying 40.00 a month less than me. I call and not only will they not work with me they tell me i am due for a increase of 15.00. What!

Are you kidding me! This is a joke! I will be canceling them for sure. And wont give any good feed back about them to anyone.

Dont exspect something for nothing but wont be screwed either! So sad the greed that goes on.

My daughter git behind with payments and they come knocking on the door say they owed money she asked if she could have time to clear her debt was told no and took away her disabled son xbox1 1 that cost 900+ pounds leaving a very upset child I won't let them get away with taking it further very angry worst than loan sharks who pry on poor people that need credit
