Treated rudely, bought a certified pre-owned and the windshield is cracked and they do not want to take responsibility for that. Also, I had to make two round trips (160 miles total) to get the spare key which initially wasn’t working upon purchasing the vehicle and upon checking later they forgot to put the spare tire in there. I feel

I should get reimbursed for the windshield being cracked.

Service Department Misdiagnosed problem, acknowledges $964 repair did not correct complaint, so they offer 15% discount.

AI Highlights
  • - Vacuum pump replaced in Dec 2014 on a 2008 Beetle.
  • - May 2015 brake booster repair billed $964, later they said it was the vacuum pump warranty.

Brandon Volkswagen replaced a vacuum pump on a used 2008 beetle in December of 2014. 500 miles later on May 8, 2015, we have another problem with the vehicle, which they diagnosed as a brake booster ($964 repair), the vehicle was not completed on-time, in fact after the work was done, the service department leaves a VM and states they realized after replacement of the brake booster, that it was actually the Dec 2014 repair of the vacuum pump which was defective which they would repair as warranty work.

Unbelievably these folks still want the $964 for the unnecessary repair, when challenged they offered a 15% discount - WOW. These folks won't be working on my daughter's car again.

Loss:
$964

Preferred solution: Full refund

BAIT AND SWITCH

AI Highlights
  • - An offer was given for a lease.
  • - Trade value was overstated by $2,000.
  • - The 2012 Passat price was misquoted by $8,000.
  • - The owner did not apologize.

Worst experience I could dream of in buying a car. First stopped in on 9/13 shopping around and was given an offer for a 1.8T SE w/sunroof & connectivity and an offer for our 2006 Jeep.

Even spoke to the general manager. Left feeling very positive, having to review details prior to purchase, such as insurance and financing. Since I am working and travelling I couldn't get back until today, only to be told that the offer we were given was not for the purchase of the car but for a lease option and given to us in error and that they overshot the trade by $2,000. I should have known something was up since we had an appointment with Jackson but when we showed up he was busy and we were told Mike would be taking car of us.

So with his encouragement we decided to look at used cars as a comparison, and found a 2012 Diesel Passat which he said was $16,500. We were now ready to negotiate that, only to find out that Mike gave us a wrong price by $8,000. This is an entire day spent at this dealership and we live in St. Pete.

UNBELIEVABLE. SICKENING. UNETHICAL.

SHAMEFUL. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE THE OWNER WAS THERE AND NEVER HAD THE NERVE TO COME OF HIS OFFICE AND APOLOGIZE TO US FOR THIS DEBACLE.
