Shortcut to make a buck

I purchased a vehicle from them about a year ago to the day and they passed it on inspection and everything. I have it not even a week and things start showing up. A couple things were not working that were required to work in order to pass safety inspection. I filed a complaint with Utah Highway Patrol's Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division and they were able to "persuade" the dealership and their mechanic to fix it up to par at no cost to me. Another couple weeks went by and then some more things would cause issues. About 4 months after buying it, I had a mechanic use a code reader on it and they found out the transmission was having problems that had to have been evident for at least 6 months. I go to get that repaired with the warranty from the dealership and the warranty company denied my claim because the vehicle had "already been worked on". What?! Of course it has, it is a USED VEHICLE with 145k miles! I convinced the dealership to honor the warranty and they gave me a measly $1600 for a $3600 repair. Better than nothing but not what a warranty on a transmission should pay out. The final kicker is when I go to get it inspected this year and my mechanic says the front end is all messed up and had seen some sh***y work done on it. They quote me $1700 for suspension fixes in order to pass safety inspection. Bottom line: even a used car, when serviced and sold by a dealership, should be able to go a year/7k miles without dumping over $5000 into repairs just to keep it legally registered and properly operating. I would NOT recommend this dealership to anyone, even if you are using another finance company. I wouldn't trust the vehicle sold by them to last you a year, which a reasonable person would expect from even a used car dealership. I've already sought legal advice on this matter so we will see where that can get me. The old idea that you can never trust a used car salesman is true...I wouldn't even expect this kind of dishonesty or sh***y work by a private ad online.

Happy holidays brads cars

first of all let me start off with this is the worst company i have ever done buisness with and would not recomend anyone to go to them. as with most people times are hard right now. there were a few times i was late on a payment however always gave them their money. i am a single mother of two and work very hard to keep up with life. i went last year and purchased a car with them. within a year of almost having the loan paid off they came and reposessed my car unlawfully. they stated they had never recieved my october payment in the mail. instead they recieved and unopened empty envelope. this makes me laugh . being that i save my receipts . i went to the post office and had a trace done on the money order. and to my surprise brads cars cashed the check on october 31???? how can a company cash a check lie about recieving it and then take possesion of a car that is being paid for and insured . hmmm. this boggles my mind. and to make matters worse call the cops when i try to get my belongings ouot of the car because it states in their "contract" that at the time of repossesion anything connected to the car is rightfully theirs. to my understanding if you pay for something and abide by the contract they cant take the car back. so tell me where in the fine writting it states they can come get your car whenever they feel like it and keep you property anyway. now i'm facing to be evicted from my home due to having to go out and get transpertation to get to and from work so i can supply for my family, and can't provide christmas. thank you brads cars staff. happy holidays
