Reign 6

AI Highlights
  • - Bought Bowtech Reign 6 in May 2018; top right limb splintered.
  • - After limb replacements, I'm afraid to draw; customer service offered no remedy.

I bought a bowtech reign 6 in May of 2018. Three weeks later and the day I was leaving to shoot at the total archery challenge in seven springs pa, the top right limb splintered.

After calling bowtech, sending pictures of the limb and talking to a representative, it was decided that it was ok to shoot the bow in seven springs. I took the bow to a reputable bow shop and they replaced the damaged limbs with new ones. One week before bow season the bottom left limb splintered. Again took the bow back to the bow shop to have the limbs replaced for the second time.

It now has its 3rd set of limbs and I’m scared to death to even draw it back. I then talked to another bowtech representative at the out door show in Harrisburg pa and she said I should send the bow back and they could possibly replace it with a different bow. Well not the case! I was told there is nothing wrong with the bow and if I had to replace the limbs for the 4th time I should send it back again for re-evaluation.

More or less I spent a $1000 for a bow and there is nothing they will do about it. Maybe that’s why they stopped making these bows after Two years. “Limb busters”. For a “top of the line” bow manufacturer I am surprised there are not a lot more disgruntled bowtech owners.

Wait there are. Just google bowtech limb problems and wow! Bowtech’s costomer service is the worst I have ever dealt with and I will never again buy another bowtech product.

IMO the bow should be replaced with a different bow or money refunded! Good luck to anyone that buys any of these ticking time bombs!

BowTech - Diamond Archery Dead Eye Bow Review from Sheboygan, Wisconsin

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Bowtech promised $600 refund and $211 medical bill payment.
  • - The bow was sent in and never returned; I was ignored for over a year.

Back in January of 2015 I contacted Bowtech Archery about the DeadEye bow that I had bought back in 2012, because of a mechanical issue with the bow that lead to the injury of my left hand. I called BowTech and spoke with a rep.

Rep sent me a box to ship the bow to them to be evaluated by one of their techs. I also spoke with Bowtech's Customer Service Manager. He had agreed to refund my money and pay for the medical bill for my injured left hand. Sent them the bow.

Since then I've never seen the bow or heard from them. I've been calling the customer service manager and left countless voicemails and emails only to be ignored. It's been over a year and a half now and I'm still being ignored. Bowtech still owes me a refund for the DeadEye bow of $600 and my medical bill of $211 and still ignores me.

Who would have thought that a big and successful company as Bowtech would have trouble refund a customer. They already got their product back.

I feel like I've been lie to and robbed. Any help with this situation is greatly appreciated.

Bow Tech lost a customer

AI Highlights
  • - Trigger hangs; BowTech says redesign (StrykeZone) fixes it.
  • - Rep advised sending in and using a local dealer; two weeks passed without shipment.

I have had problems with my strykeforce trigger hanging up since i bought it. After almost losing a nice buck i decided to call Bow Tech and see if there were any upgrades or anything i could do to fix my bow.

Rep advised me that this was an issue with that model and that it was fixed by completely redesigning the trigger ie the strykezone. Fine ,,,can i send it in and get a bow that works right. Rep then advised to take it to local dealer(Winchesters Sporting Goods Longview TX.) After two weeks i gave a follow up call ,,yes it had not even been shipped,, not the first problem ive had with this shop. I go get my bow and take it to a competent shop ( East TX archery). After B T test fires it to there satisfaction they came to the conclusion that the bow only need to be restrung and this would cause poor trigger performance but other than that it was fine.

So ive sent this thing off and lost a month of my deer season to return to the wood with the same inconsistent trigger I had from the get go. It is fare to say B T did look at the bow and didn't find an issue, and its also fare to say that this is a known problem and for B T to just leave it at " my hands are tied" and put me back in the woods to surely run into the same problem is poor customer service to say the least.

I will sale this bow and never by another bowtech product again. With there vast consumer base I will know doubt go unnoticed, but non the less they have lost one customer.
