Bookit in New York, New York - Terrible Customer Service/DO NOT USE
First off, my original reservation was screwed up from the confirmation page. I selected and paid for a King Superior room, and when brought to the confirmation page, it said Queen Standard room (which was over $50 less in price). I called to have this sorted out, and waited on the phone for over an hour, to have the company call me back after midnight EST when my trip was the following morning. Supposedely everything was settled, but upon arrival at the hotel, our reservation was unable to be found. After more waiting, the hotel was gracious and said they deal with this problem with Bookit.com all the time. VERY unrelaible, did not get what I paid for in the end, and will be reporting to the BBB. Don't waste your time or money.
Bookit in New York, New York - Lied about booking a room
Went on line to find a hotel and came across Bookit.com so went threw the site and book a room in Houston when I got into town I called to tell them I would be late only to find out they had no reservation for me and also no rooms available since it was late I tried to call around all hotels were booked there was a rodeo in town so I had to dive 2.5 hours out of town before finding a room for the night!!,, bookit will take your reservation send you a confirmation number and even take your money but they won't make sure you have a room booked they suck total rip off and waste of time do your self a favor call the hotel your self and make the reservation don't trust this site".......thieves and liars
Bookit.com Do NOT Use
I made my reservation with Bookit.com sometimes in August 2010 for travel in February 2011. On the morning of my travel I found out that I was put on misconnecting flight. Called the airline company who stated that my flight was changed 5 times since the booking. Unable to get through bookit.com that morning as their offices were closed. I decided to by new air tickets as I had no other option. I was at the airport with 2 kids and had to spend additional $3,000 for the tickets. When I came back I reach out to bookit.com who stated that I should contact airline Continental b/c they did not notify bookit.com of schedule change. Continental staff was great and sent me all the info that I requested. It took me a while to get to the right place but I was able to get what I needed. Once I provide them with everything, they state that it is my responsibly to check the flight status 12 hours before departure. Well an e-mail on five separate occasions or even a phone call would have been nice. So Now we are in June and I been trying to speak to them since February but they do not care b/c they got paid. So please please do not book with them, you have better companies out there, I booked with others that called me and made sure that the change that is made is what I want.
