Bookit in Washington, District Of Columbia - Round Trip Flight, Return Flight Booked WRONG Date!!!

My flight was supposed to get me from BWI to LAS on 4-6 and return on 4-9. This is the criteria I specified when booking my flight. My itinerary, however has me returning 12 hours after arriving in LAS Vegas! Customer support, after more than 2 hours of hold and transfers, insists it was my own fault. I do this for a living, I know how to book a flight online, it is the only way I book flights for myself or my clients! Bookit.com will not be getting any more business from me, or anyone I represent. Avoid this SHAM service!!!

I was able to speak to a representative who refunded half of the 150.00 fee for changing flights. While it was a nice gesture, I don't feel I should have been charged any of the 150.00 fee because had the website booked my flight correctly in the first place, no fee would have been applied. So I am still out an extra 75.00, due to no fault of my own.

I had no choice but to change the flight with bookit.com, this cost me an additional 150.00 fee in addition to the flight's price increase of 149.00.

Bookit.com - BEWARE!!!

Bookit.com are shysters!!! i was of lured by their "great deals per person" flight + hotel and once you check out there's a large fee for booking with them. Beware, its easy to get pulled in with just a few clicks. My advice is to be follow the charges on the left hand side of the window. My "deal" easily went from $580 per person to $909.77 per person. Not to mention there was a no refund policy. After being thrown around in their cue and being on hold with customer service, i was able to speak to someone who actually helpful. Still i was ripped off.

I used bookit.com for a trip to Miami and I have no complaints. They gave me a great deal with no extra fees. I had to pay a resort fee but I didn't pay that until I checked out of the hotel.

We pride ourselves on not charging our customers fees for bookings - however, we are not able to control the taxes and airline surcharges. Those charges are set beyond our control. We are extremely happy that someone in our customer cared department was able to assit you, and certainly hope that you did not make a purchase of anything unwillingly.

Avoid Bookit at all costs!!!

This site is a huge RIPOFF!!! Dontbookit is right!! They have the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I booked a hotel room through them for a great resort, however, after mingling with some other folks staying at the same resort I discovered I had been scammed!!!! They don't do anything but up charge you hundreds of dollars!! Avoid bookit.com at Ll costs they are full of lies. This site also charges you 20$ to cancel your reservations. No other sites do so. I would never recommend this site to anyone. They ruined my vacation. Don't book it !!!

Bookit in Green Springs, Ohio - Shysters

We booked a vacation to the Bahamas this month through Bookit.com and everything was great leaving, no problems or issues with the flight over and our stay at the hotel was great as well. But, our flight back was a nightmare, we had received in October schedule changes in flight times, called and spoke with an agent to confirm the new scheduel, received our new itinerary of those changes and left the states self assured that everything was fine. However, our return trip proved differently someone at bookit did not pass these changes onto US AIRWAY, by the way who are shyters as well. I ended up paying an additional two hundered dollars to get home, spent a total of thirteen hours in the airport and on the plan, when we should have spent only 4 hours in flight and airport time. December 17, 2010 I called Bookit and spoke with one of their representatives who said we did not confirm the changes, which was a ball face lie, if I had not confirm the changes they would have never sent me a new itineray.

BOOKIT FIXED THE PROBLEM!!!

A few days ago I posted a comment about how BookIt.com mishandled a hotel reservation. Since then, a representative from the resolutions department contacted me and worked very diligently to resolve the problem. Thank you Keira!!! She was very helpful and professional and was able to find a us a nice hotel in the same vicinity. I'm glad we gave them a second chance!! Any other company would have swept the problem under the rug, but they persevered and resolved the issue. I travel often and look forward to doing business with BookIt in the future! Alicia R.

I am sitting in my rental car in Orlando, FL watching my kids sleep after being denied a room at Wingate by Wyndham at Orlando Int'l Airport that I reserved and paid for through Book-It online. Can't get in touch with Book-It because their phone center is being upgraded and won't be available until 9:30am Sunday morning, 7 hours from now.

Wyndham is no better with a girl who ignored me at the check-in desk in favor of flirting with several drunk young men. No rooms in my name, tried to call Book-It, then refused to contact a mgr to get this resolved. So I sit, a single mom with two kids in a car because we have no room.

This is a crime. Judging from the other comments out here, seems par for the course for this company.

BEWARE OF BOOKIT.COM

I booked a hotel reservation for 5 nights in Costa Rica for 12/25-12/31. The advertised rate was $85 per room, per night for 2 adults, 2 kids. Several days later and after over 15 phone calls (many international), it turns out they had wrong hotel contact info and hotel did not have availablity. Hotel said the rate was supposed to be $85 PER PERSON, per night and hotel would not honor the booking. Bookit negotiated with hotel and this was their offer: Bookit would to pay a higher rate for us but the problem was they only had a room for 3 out of the 5 nights. They had no idea where we could stay the other 2 nights since all area hotels were booked. Finally, I canceled the reservation and am awaiting a refund. They charged my credit card, did not honor the advertised rate, and had no solution to the problem. They need to be held accountable for false advertising and not honoring the agreement with the consumer. So, we have flight reservations with nowhere to stay. My first and last booking with them.

:( My son and his new wife went through BOOKIT.COM and that's when the nightmare began. BOOKIT.COM screwed uo their honeymoon by flying them to the wrong airport and they had to take a TAXI for 9 hrs and had their lives in danger, in COSTA RICA.

I called BOOKIT.COM to get help and i was literally on the phone on Monday from 1:50 pm till 6:45 pm and again same day from 9pm till 2:15 am and no one would help me, even when this was their BOOKIT.COM fault. I just don't want people , families to go through what we FAMILY are going through.

PLEASE EVERYONE, do NOT go through BOOKIT.COM for your travels. PLEASE.

would LOVE to know how you got them to fix your situation arosario27 - I have spent HOURS and HOURS trying to get them to honor a goof on their part - nothing - now I'm stuck starting ALL OVER and might lose my airline fare to boot ....

BOOKIT stinks at this point - any input would be greatly appreciated. I'm supposedly waiting (now for 5 hours) for the highest management person (next to the owner) to contact me - UGH

Bookit in Washington, District Of Columbia - Don't do it

I booked a hotel room on 3/1/10 and was charged $100.00 that day and charged another $270.00 on 3/19/10. I then cancelled the room within the time limit told to me on 3/25/10 with a $19.95 cancellation charge to follow. It is 4/2/10 and I still haven't received the refund. I tried to call BookIt and both the numbers on my itinerary are no longer working numbers. My Discover rep tells me that I have to wait 15 days to even file a claim. Ok, but they will be charging me another $270.00 today. My Discover rep says too bad you'll have to wait to file on that charge also. So my credit card bill is climbing and I have no defense until 15 days after all the charges go through. What a scam. We should all open companies and hold money for $15 days while we invest the capital. It is a win win situation for BookIt and a losing situation for all consumers. I love to let companies use my capital at no charge. It is the American way.

Pathetic Service Bookit.com Should be DontBookit

I would really recommend not to use this service, I had my reservations 3 months in advance, i repeat 3 months in advance without any notification, My flight timming was changed and thing to be noted is i had a conversation with the Customer rep twice before my scheduled departure date. I reached early there was no flight, the earliest flight they could manage to get me in was 5 hours later and that too after a 60 min conversation with Customer Rep / Manager. All this pain and a total mismanagement of Services I would rate them -1 from a scale 1 to 10, 0 being Lowest.

I used Book It on my last trip I would recommend not to use this service. I was at a hotel that was booked on book it and after I paid in advance when I shod up I had to pay additional 250.00 so I called book it they could not care less.

I book my next trip on KS Global Travel and I did not like the room so I call them in five minutes they took care of it they upgraded the room to a ocean view. ( Nice)

The majestic hotel 660 ocean drive Miami , as stated above, our stay was horrible . Everything the above post stated about this joke of a hotel/resort is True.

Is isn't a resort by any means, it's a resturant with bedrooms. And I esp like the fees on check out, resort fees and taxes ... I paid I'm advance for stay threw Bookit, and when checking out not only did the rude hotel manager throw those fees at us, he tryed to claim we had a third guest stayin! Which was completely untrue , I told him to check his video tapes which we right behind him, and agreements on checkout continued.

I was so angry with the fact this man was bacily calling me a lier about our so called unpaid guest... Where he would have slept I kept asking lol, I'm the closet ? The rooms were tiny, and honestly Only good thing about the place was the cool shop and shop owner underneath the hotel. We enjoyed our four day getaway, but will never stay at that place again, and recommend it be avoid at all cost.

I honestly almost slapped the manager when he continued to call me a lier, until we finally proved him wrong,,with no apologie from him, we gathered our things and left before things got any worse. Safe to say, don't request a late checkout, they don't honor it, there is no ocean view, the place is a dump. And not worth the price.

Can't say enough bad things to honestly justified this horrible place. Seems like once checkout comes what little respect the manager gives is gone, and I on a mission to let people know how bad this place was.

WOW! Where to begin.

Me and my fiancé booked a Hawaii honey moon through bookit.com back in Feb 2013. I paid my flight tickets in advance and was making payments on their Pay Delay program for the rest of the trip such as hotel, and tours etc. As we got closer to the wedding date, we realized that we would not be able to make this trip for medical reasons. My doctor advised me that he did not want me to travel that far out until I healed from surgery.

So we decided to make a change to a nice Las Vegas trip closer to home instead. I was told that I could exchange my flight to a flight credit to Las Vegas and after my fiancé made up a sweet romance package which took a couple of hours out of her day, I contacted Bookit.com to give them the new Hotel and tours package deal. They booked all the stuff we wanted to due and I paid an additional $1,541.99 and was told that my tickets would be handled and I would get my flight credits. This was over a week ago.

Today I get an email from Bookit.com advising me that my flight tickets can only be used for the destination to Hawaii and can not be used for another city. They told me that it was per "FEDERAL" regulations! However, I contacted the airlines directly and was told that, that was not true and that Bookit could re issue new tickets by using the credits I have on file and that Alaskan airlines were under the impression that we were being lied to and that they have the authority to rebook a new destination. So, I have had enough of companies like this!!

I contacted my attorney and will be filing a lawsuit against bookit for fraud, undiscloser violations and the list goes on. DO NOT, and I repeat this "DO NOT" use this company for any of your travel needs! Me and my fiancé are now going to go into an actual Travel agency to get my tickets and honeymoon package booked in. Folks, convenience on the internet does not always mean that you will get what you are paying for.

Go to a travel agency where you can get your tickets and travel packages right their in hand!
