Bookit.com Do NOT Use

I made my reservation with Bookit.com sometimes in August 2010 for travel in February 2011. On the morning of my travel I found out that I was put on misconnecting flight. Called the airline company who stated that my flight was changed 5 times since the booking. Unable to get through bookit.com that morning as their offices were closed. I decided to by new air tickets as I had no other option. I was at the airport with 2 kids and had to spend additional $3,000 for the tickets. When I came back I reach out to bookit.com who stated that I should contact airline Continental b/c they did not notify bookit.com of schedule change. Continental staff was great and sent me all the info that I requested. It took me a while to get to the right place but I was able to get what I needed. Once I provide them with everything, they state that it is my responsibly to check the flight status 12 hours before departure. Well an e-mail on five separate occasions or even a phone call would have been nice. So Now we are in June and I been trying to speak to them since February but they do not care b/c they got paid. So please please do not book with them, you have better companies out there, I booked with others that called me and made sure that the change that is made is what I want.

Bookit Flight Booking

Do not use Bookit!

Use Bookit with extreme caution. We booked an all inclusive vacation to Punta Cana earlier this year. The itinerary was booked 2 months in advance. Approximately 36 hours prior to departing for our trip we discovered that our itinerary had been changed without any notification. The return leg of our flight itinerary had been rescheduled. We had now been forced to return one day earlier. Here's the rub. I asked Bookit what recourse we had for the shortening of our trip. The response was take it up with the airline. After several hours wrangling with the airline, we were able to secure a full refund for the flight portion of the trip. I contacted Bookit again to seek their assistance in retrieving a refund for the hotel portion of our package. We had decided to cancel our4 day getaway because it had now been shortened to 3 days. Bookit only retrieved two night's stay. We had to forfeit close to $500.

This is what happend to me, I booked my trip 6 months in advanced and on the day of my travel I found out that I was put on the missconnecting flight. I had to purchase new tickets $3,000 during winter break on the morrning of travel.

They gave me a run around blaming the Continental which was realy nice and provided me with all the info that I requested to prove to them that they were notified of flight change.

Altimatly they told me that it is my falt that I should have check the flight status. But I checked their website nothing was changed on there.

Bookit.com made reservations landing after check in ended.

Bookit.com made reservations for my plane landing at 10:15PM and my lodging check in time was only open until 7:00PM. I spent over a week and a half trying to fix this, what it came down to is they changed my flight to an early AM flight but then charged me $85 per person (4 kids and 2 adults) I tried to have them reimburse me for the difference since it was their fault in the first place. They told me that they can't do that since all of the dates and times were explained in the itinerary. The same itinerary that I didn't get emailed to me until I paid already. I ask this, what kind of company sends a family on vacation with no place to stay for the first night they are there? Bookit.com thats who!

My husband and I have been looking at several unhappy customer reports over the internet. We check out all companies before we use them.

The above response from them is the same response given to each. Bottomline of what we found is 1) don't use them; and 2) if you already have and have had an issue, post it all over the internet. They will find it and finally reimburse you! If you keep quiet and don't fight it, you lose!

They may well be betting on those who won't push the issue.

Wonder why the Attorney General has not stepped in? Maybe someone needs to bring it to his attention.

And what do you know, they still have not contacted me. See they don't want to help resolve any matter.... they just don't want to seem like the bad guy that costs people extra money because they messed up. They can't take responsibility for what they do wrong and make it right with the customer. They just posted here so that anyone looking at this site will think that they are trying to be reasonable.

I can't stress enough NOT to use bookit.com unless you want lots of headaches and to loose extra money.

Ripped by Bookit

I made reservations three months in advance for tickets to the Terry Fator show at the Mirage in Las Vegas. I paid $300 dollars for two tix in the first few rows right in the center. Seeing a ventriloquist without being close enough to actually see them would be a waste, so I bought the best tix. I ended up so far back and to the side that I had to watch the show on the TV monitor. That is no better than watching TV at home and for $300 it is outright stealing. Can't get any response about a refund and probably will end up being a victim of a scam company. Don't trust them with your money. I know I never will again.

Bookit in Jacksonville, Florida - Paid for premier show tix in Vegas- got worst

I paid for the best tix in the theatre for a Terry Fator show in Vegas. They were shown to be the first few rows in the center. I was so far off to the side that I had to watch it on the TV screen. What good is a ventriloquist when you can't see them and why pay $150 per ticket to watch TV. Can't get any response. I'll never use again. I booked three months in advance and still didn't get the seats I paid for and now don't think there will ever be a refund.

Bookit in Tampa, Florida - Booked the hotel room for May 23,2011 instead of April 23,2011 !

I made reservations for April23,2011 through April24,2011 and they made the reservations fo May23,2011- May24,2011. We drove a long way to the hotel to find out Book-It had made a mistake and screwed up the dates of our stay, it was my daughters birthday and it got ruined because when I called Book-It they told me I could cancel but they already took my money out of my bank account. I tried to do something nice for my daughter and it got ruined by Book-It, They told me I still had reservations for May when my daughter has school thats really sucks. I am really pisssed at this I cried because it upset my daughter that she could not stay at the beach hotel! Sharon

BOOKIT DO NOT USE THEM EVER

I will never use bookit again. Why I listened to someone else and tried it is beyond me. For years I have used Expedia and I will use them from now on. Bookit lied about flights booked it with flights and dates i really didnt want. Then when other family memebers went to book 10 mins later the dates and flights were available on line. Mind you I called and spoke to a representative personally. When I called to change it to the correct flight that evryone else was on and showed them it was available they said $1200 and they could change the 7 plane tickets. I went back and forth for 2 days finally spoke to customer service she was the most rude and arrogant person. I work for UPS and customer serice should never be like this. They lost my whole family as customers and whoever I come across and UPS from now on!!

Bookit.com - poor customer service

phone number listed for customer service is no longer in service. When finally got through using 888 number listed on website and selecting "new reservation" option, "gentleman" who answered said he would transfer me to customer service. He of course hung up on me. Could not get through period. This place is a joke. Tried to cancel reservation after the hotel they booked us in ended up being loaded with high school/college students who dumped water balloons on everyone. Bookit not only charged us for the deposit but "tapped" our credit card for the entire reservation and has refused to refund the money for a 5-7 day period. This place is a joke!!!

Bookit in Arab, Alabama - Book It - took it (my money)

Save yourself the headache!!! I have been trying to get a refund for weeks now. Everytime I call customer service,after waiting no less than 45 minutes on hold, I am told they are busy with Spring Break and that my payment is being "processed". They will not email me anything to state that my money is being refunded, they will not let me speak with the processing department.. they state that they do not have phones & only deal with them via email. Go ahead and pay the extra money somewhere else!!! You won't regret it! DO NOT BOOK IT!!!
