Bookit-horrible customer service

When trying to call to confirm and get details of trip that was booked, took over 2 hours to get to live person. I tried th online chat, customer service line and the booking line. I finally got a live person after being on hold for 54 minutes straight. After explaining my frustration and requesting to speak to supervisor, they REFUsed! Will never ever book with BOOKIT again. I will be telling everyone I know to not use that company because if they have a problem it will not be handled.BOOKIT customer service is a joke!!beware beware beware.

Bookit: SCAM YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY

As cliche as that sounds - I wish there were negative stars to give. I bought transportation from airport to hotel vouchers for my mom and me: both to and from the airport. Bookit only sent two instead of four vouchers to be used. When I called I was on the phone for about 40 min, listening to their advertisements-filled hold music. Finally they admitted they made a mistake and told me to buy the transport vouchers myself as I get to the airport and they'll refund my money. Ok so that's what I did: instead of getting my $45 refunded, I was charged $58 (WHAT ON EARTH!) .so I had to take the time out of my vacation at the beach and spend another 45 mins on the phone trying to beat MY money out of them. She wanted my credit card again, UH HUH - as if! I told her to use the info she already had to scam me for $58 and use it to give it right back. So finally they did refund it (I should have known something was up when I received two emails from Bookit saying my credit card processing failed - when I didn't even TRY to use it in the first place). Anyways so they were supposed to fax new transport. vouchers to my hotel and, surely, that wouldn't have happened if i didn't take out ANOTHER 30 min out of my Miami vacation at the beach to call them again. THIS WAS THE LAST TIME I USED Bookit. And my heart goes out to all of you who HAVE used it, or who will ignore many of these negative reviews and WILL use it.

Bookit Never Again-Save money but not sanity

I found BookIt had a rate for a Comfort Inn near Logan Airport with a rate of $169.00, this was $10.00 less expensive than the Comfort Inn official booking site. Being on a tight budget I went with BookIt…and there was my mistake! Never again will I try to save money on lesser known third party reservation site After all the other flights etc were finalized we found that the date of our one night stay had to be adjusted. The $10.00 I saved from the booking was spent on a 30 minute phone call to BookIt customer service to "rebook", NOT CANCELL, but just to change the date by one day!! The third party system of "cancellation" policy is if ANY change is made you pay a $19.95 fee to BookIt. I'm just appalled that in the electronic age, these third party reservations companies even survive, since it took 24 to 72 hours for someone to reenter our information. You betcha Bookit will never get my business again…and I'll let everyone I know who does travel reservations to avoid them. I would not use this service again, due to the lack of costumer service and flexibility. Waste of my morning…shame on me for trying to save a buck! And to think these guys now have our credit card number on file....feeling like a fool. DON"T USE THEM!

Bookit in Sterling Heights, Michigan - Book it will take your money then NO Customer Service

The resort had a great location, wonderful staff, and good food. Great RESORT. BOOK IT experience will not be repeated....read below for further info on our interaction with BOOK IT. Book it experience NOT GOOD!! When we booked trip it was all over Book it site "Spa Credit". We were suppose to get a $200. spa credit (I believe per person) but once booked they had no record although we had emails in our email inbox and SPA CREDIT was was posted ALL OVER the book it site when we booked. It took book it one day to confirm order. In that time they apparently decided to disregard their SPA SPECIAL. Perhaps a mistake but further interaction with book it makes me wonder if it was a convient "mistake". When asked about the spa special Lauren Newton sent "Kind Regards" Then her reply was, "unfortunately were not able to locate any "Spa Getaways" or any type of Spa Promotions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Rest assured, we value you as a Guest, and look forward to assisting you with a future stay. If you would like more information on the current rates and promotions available on our site, we ask that you contact our Booking Department at 888-782-9722, or 850-234-8887 for our international Guests" As happy as they were to help us with a future stay NO ONE including Lauren or anyone else at BOOK IT customer service responded to our future inquiries. Customer Service did NOT even bother to reply to the other three emails we had sent them. There was NO explanation or any effort to correct the "MISTAKE". I have NEVER sent a bad review on anything EVER. Takes way too much time. Book It could have sent me a honest explanation and a appolgy and I most likey would never had ever taken the time to post reports on my book it experience. The total disregard of the Customer Service of Book it and the no response is not acceptable. When you are trusting an online site to take care of your stay (especially when out of the county) you need much better support than we received. LOVED the resort!! Never use Book IT!!

BOOKIT horrible customer service! Never again.

BOOKIT booked our honeymoon in Cancun Mexico. We were so looking forwarding to this great honeymoon and weddingmoon vacation, also my 40th bday! When we tried to contact them during the trip, it wasn't possible, since we were OUT OF the COUNTRY and didn't have pay as you go, phones. Also, since we sat with management of the hotel 3-4 times we didn't see a problem with resolution. When we called BOOKIT upon returning from our NIGHTMARE vacation... they refused to help us. They said since we didn't contact them from the hotel, there wasn't much they can do. They didn't respond to emails I sent them. When they left a message with bad news ... I barely could understand the messages. I got messages back from 3 reps and THEY ALL WERE GARBLED! In the end...they did nothing for my issues at the hotel. In fact, they were never able to contact the hotel, NOW JADE to resolve my issues. NEVER AGAIN!

Bookit in Vancouver, British Columbia - Not a complaint

I have booked with BookIt and went on a trip last week (Feb, 2012) to PVR. This was the first time we used BookIt and I have to say I have no problem with it and would not hesitate to use it again. Our PVR trip was not as we had expected but in fairness, it was not their fault. The BookIt agent on the ground, Jerry, was very helpful and he helped fixed the problem on the spot. He even come back the following day to make sure we are happy with the alternate arrangements. What a great customer service !!!

Bookit.com booked the wrong trip for us

We called bookit.com to schedule our trip to Universal Studios. We called them because we wanted to make sure we got a hotel that had continuous transportation to the park. A few days before our trip, we called to confirm. Turns out our hotel only had continuous transportation to Disney World. Bookit.com offered to reimburse us $200 to compensate for parking. They offered us no other options. The included transportation, not having to drive, and everyone being able to leave the parks when they wanted was the whole purpose in using a company to book. When we got to Orlando we discovered our hotel wasn't just near Disney World. It was in Disney World! That meant we had to drive in both Disney and Universal traffic. There was a hotel the same as ours located right next to Universal where we should have been. Bookit.com refused to make any changes to our hotel or to our tickets to make the trip more convenient. They did tell us they would work with us to come up with a reasonable compensation. We spoke to several people and were eventually forwarded to a supervisor...who would be out of office for two weeks. After two weeks, we called again to find she'd now be out of office another week. We spoke to someone else and were transferred to another supervisor...who was out of office. This happened at least three times. They finally spoke to us today, nearly two months after our trip, and refuse to do anything additional for us. After making us wait 2 months, telling us they'd work with us, and passing us from person to person. We will not be using this company again. If we'd wanted to screw up our reservations, we could have done that ourselves.

Bookit in Somerville, Massachusetts - Charged credit card $300 more than quoted

If anyone is thinking of using BookIt.com to book a holiday, I'd rethink using their website. My credit card was charged (instantaneously) $300 more than the 'grand total' (inc taxes) quoted on check out. I booked a Vegas flight and hotel package, their 'deal of the day' for $1245 for 2 people. All was peachy until I received the confirmation email stating I had been billed $1545! Their customer service reps have repeatedly promised to sort out the issue but 3 weeks later and I'm still waiting for a resolution. I first was told over the phone that 'it was still a good deal' and then when I was disinclined to agree, was transferred though to a supervisor who assured me they would look into it and get back in touch with me. I heard nothing for 2 and a half weeks so I emailed and received a reply stating that someone would get back to me in 72 hours. 5 days went by and nothing, and no responses to further emails I sent were forthcoming. I found Bookit.com on Facebook and left a public message outlining my dissatisfaction and the person(s) manning it promised they would 'personally' deal with it. 4 days later and STILL nothing. The old adage 'If it seems to good to be true, it probably is' seems pretty fitting right now. Next time we'll stick to Expedia who, incidentally, are offering the same package for $100 less than what we ended up paying anyway. My credit card issuer is currently looking into the matter, I don't know how successful they will be, but I don't feel Bookit.com are going to be of any assistance at this point. Live and learn I suppose.

We booked an all-inclusive vacation to Cozumel, Mexico with Bookit.com. Our flight to and from Cozumel, Mexico was cancelled on Frontier and Bookit.com never notified us. The day before the trip I tried to pull up my Flight on Frontier to check our seat assignment and it wouldn't pull up my reservation, so I called Frontier directly. They said, thanks for calling us. Your flights have been cancelled. We notified Bookit.com since we didn't have your email or phone number. Luckily the woman at Frontier was kind enough to get us rescheduled on another airline for the same dates as our original flights. When I contacted Bookit, they said our computer says we sent you an email notifying you that your flights were cancelled. If you didn't get it, maybe it went to your spam folder. I checked my spam folder...no emails from Bookit. Plus we got all the other emails from Bookit...especially the email that said they got our money. They didn't seem to care that our flights were cancelled and we, on our own, found out only a day before showing up to the airport. Had we not checked into this we would have showed up at the airport only to find out there was no flight for us. I will NEVER use Bookit.com again, and I will tell everyone I know not to use them. I expect someone to followup with me if my flights are cancelled and a new flight has to be re booked. When they didn't get a response from us they should have called us. They think their computer generated email should be sufficient. That's very poor customer service.
