Bookit - I thought I booked a flight
I thought I booked a flight and was charged for a flight but when i went to the website it would not recognize my bookit cionfirmation number. Day 3 and i still haven't resolved this problem. I spoke to a "supervisor" named Micheal Alexis and was given a number and an extension in which I called and left numerous messages. When i inquired whether I would receive a full refund so that I might book another flight, they were non-committal. I also tried to use their website to book the fkight but kept getting error messages. Called customer service and was told if they assisted in booking the flight it would be an additional 25.00! This agency is the worst I've ever used!
Bookit in Covington, Georgia - Price match is a scam
Refused to match a lower price I found. Said they would give me a $25 credit toward my next trip. When I called back they said my $34 lower price did not qualify because of a $20 price match limit. I asked for the $20 instead of $34 per night. They refused. They refused to let me speak to a supervisor. Don't trust these people I was put on hold for 30 mins only to be told no supervisor was available to talk to me. If they were in the right why we're they offering me a $ $25 credit?
Bookit in Bavaro, La Altagracia - Best Vacation
Booked online with Bookit.com and had to change it 2 times due to my work schedule and each time I was able to do so without a problem. First Class, The Bavaro Resort in Punta Cana was beautiful we got the VIP package and I would book with them again. Bookit in Douglasville, Georgia - Refund Hostage
I made a reservation for Bike Week on my debit card and had to cancel on 3-4-2014. Got a email from the same night confirming the cancelation and the email said debit cards will get the refund in real time. Never got the refund so I called on the 5th and was told they tried to make the deposit but there was an issue and they would do it manually, give it 24 hours. Gave it 24 hours and called back then was told it would take 10 to 15 days, after asking the phone rep more questions the phone mysteriously hung up. I called back and got another rep and now the refund takes 15 to 20 days after asking some questions the phone once again mysteriously hung up again. Decide I better not call back, if I did I might not ever get m money. However today I checked my account and they have taken another $100.00, I called and after being on the phone for 30 minutes no one can explain why it happened but they will gladly refund me the money, however it will take 15 to 20 days. So I am out over $1100.00 without knowing when I will get my money back. I will never use the service again, they are not that cheaper than Expedia or just calling the hotel.
AVOID BOOKIT.COM unless you like to spend money and get nothing in return.
BookIt.com failed to make a reservation for me, giving me an error message that was nothing BUT an error msg number and a phone number. After waiting 10 minutes on hold, I found out they took my money twice WITHOUT any notification or any receipt.....yet failed to give me a reservation and can't provide one for this hotel ( and didn't offer any other options) I also have to wait up to 10 days for my money to be refunded....the money which they took without notification, and without providing any written or verbal receipt, and without providing any goods or services for these funds. And you, as the customer, get "I'm sorry". A big "I'm sorry" for taking $200 of your money that you weren't notified about, not given a receipt or anything for, and have to wait 10 days for it's return. Most importantly, had I not of called to continue trying to get the booking, which they charge $25 for to do manually...... I would have never known Bookit.com had taken funds from my account. And the kicker? When I DID get an email documentation, which I had to ASK for....I got a notification with their email that said "Be careful! This sender failed our fraud detection checks." The "fraud" irony was not lost on me. There is Expedia, Orbitz, Priceline, and tons of other travel sites...use those. No customer deserves this. USE ANOTHER SITE!!!! And please spread the word.
DON'T BOOKIT.COM.....RUN FROM IT
Left home in 30 degree weather wearing wool sweaters at 4:00 AM for a Cancun trip. Arrived in Cancun around 2:00 PM, 84 degrees only to find out that bookit.com had not paid for our hotel that had been booked for over a month and paid for. Sat around the hotel for hours trying to get bookit.com to get things straight. Numerous phone calls to them to no avail. After hours of hauling luggage, hot and tired we put a room on our credit card just so we could shower and get some rest. Hours the next day were spent trying to get bookit.com to pay for our hotel. Finally they did. I have no idea what happened as no one seems to think its important to call and apologize to us or offer any kind of explanation. We stayed worried to death that we would get to the airport and may not have a flight back. The hotel apologized numerous times and said it wasn't their fault, bookit.com has said nothing. However I intend to say a lot. I will post everywhere that I can and tell everyone that I can how they treated us. I know of two trips that I have cost them and hopefully other people will heed our advice and use another company. I would not crate my dog and let these people ship him across town, much less send another person out of the country! Let me add...there is NO customer service, no help, no emergency contact person when this happens. When you call you get a different person every time and they just don't care....you are on your OWN! People use a local travel agent or someone that you have used in the past. As posted here by other people the "savings" are not always "savings" and the hassle is just not worth the worry and the time that you spend on your vacation to correct problems that they have created for you. My husband and I cruise all the time and once a maid forgot/skipped cleaning our room. You would have thought the world had ended the way the cruise line acted but bookit.com leaves me in Mexico to solve my on problems for two days. I will never use them again and to say that they really spoiled two days of our vacation is an under statement! I almost forgot to say that my view was the roof top of other hotels/motels, but if you made an effort you could see the a little of the ocean (I forgot to mention that....just so happy to have a room I guess!).
Bookit - Was quoted a price for airfare & hotel on a trip to Las Vegas, did'nt get what I paid for.
Began when I purchased the trip, airfare & hotel. Arrived at the Stratosphere, no hotel reservations. Called BookIt, No help. It seems BookIt had a change on the web page I was sent to, after choosing not to upgrade any portions of the trip and paying for things. Being excited going to Vegas, I did not thoroughly read everything on the page. It was not what I believed it to be. Only airfare was addressed. I erred, not reading every word. BookIt was wrong quoting only travel at this time. I'm convinced this is way they do things. Thieves.
Bookit in San Bruno, California - We will never use Book It again
My husband and I where on vacation 9/13 to 9/21/2013 at the Barcelo Dominican Beach resort and we went thru BOOK IT, worse time ever would never recommend this place to anyone. Day of our arrival our room smelled like and out house with no air conditioning. I complained two times before we got another room. The second room was good for 2 1/2 days, when we got back from Catalina Island we had no air conditioning again and this time I had to make three complaints. Now they moved us to our third room, this time the TV did not work the phone did not work no electricity and my husband got locked in the bathroom when he tried to come out when the doorknobs fell off and there was not toilet handle for the toilet. I think this was a really bad vacation and will never return to this resort again. And I have complained to the resort also. I would have thought that Book It would make sure that this resort was in good condition before recommending it.
