My 3 month old 5 lbs puppy went in for a routine war crop surgery that apparently this doctor has done hundreds of times and now Im sitting at home with no puppy because they killed him. I dropped off at around 7:40am 7/5/22 and was told to call at 2 pm to ask about pickup. I received a phone call around noon that day telling me that my puppy had a reaction to the aesthetics and had a heart attack. Tried to revive and nothing woke him. Then proceeded to tell me these things happen and call back to let them know I wanted to do with the body. Not sympathetic at all. We go there to address this after I call everyone law enforcement and lawyer I know and grab all paperwork and to get an answer of what happened. Still never really an answer. Was treated rudely when we walked into the office and didnt help us find the vet or anyone for that matter. I was upset crying just wanted my perfect little healthy puppy back. I keep getting asked what I want to do with the body like its a fish. The vet didnt even know my dogs gender was male kept calling him a she until I corrected him twice. They all proceeded to tell me this never happens and its rare. Everyone I talked to on my side of things and another vet said sound like they gave him too much anesthesia. I want some kind of answers as to why a perfect normal puppy all of sudden dies but the surgery went well. They acted like they just wanted us to leave minus one employee. When my breeder called them without me knowing they told her I misunderstood and it wasnt cardiac arrest when the vet clearly told us on the phone that that was the reason of his death. My breeder who is very well known in the area told me that all doesnt sound correct. Previous to my initial ear crop consultation, an employee named Brandi told me on the phone the payment so that I was prepared to pay what I was going to pay. I was fine with any amount really just wanted to know. She told me it ranges from $425-$600 and the $425 would be no anesthesia and no medications afterwards. I thought that sounded cruel so agreed to the normal process. She (Brandi) later stated today when the incident was happening that she said no thing. Shes lying, the vet is lying, the whole office was lying. My boyfriend scoured the internet digging on answers about this vet and found that multiple people have had this same issue and reported that the staff and vets showed no sympathy toward them at all. Also, a side note, I distinctly remember hearing one vet tech or assistant in the back yell at a dog that was crying in a crate to shut up. You dont treat animals the way they treat them. I am beside myself how what happened and what went down and nothing can take my pain away but for them to not offer anything is absurd. Ill be going to every news crew, animal Charity type company in Florida. This cant happen to another pet.Ever. Vet is an incompetent dog MURDERER!
