Bad Customer Service

My personal experience of Boat N RV was one of the worst customer experiences of my life, I could not recommend this company to anyone. The slick, inept and unprofessional sales people are one thing, but the customer service and the follow up are completely nonexistent. I bought a very expensive RV and when we got to our orientation as we sat and talked through all the features, I was looking around and happened to look up to the ceiling and thats when I noticed a great big hole in the roof. *** that a few weeks early Jamie (Office Manager of the years son) punched whilst showing off how sturdy the roofs are well not quite that sturdy as he left a great bloody hole in the RV. So as we sat our orientation (My Birthday) they were showing us the RV and promised to deliver it the same day but...when I looked up I noticed *** a big hole. So I offered to let them fix/patch the hole in a brand new $30,000 RV and said if you throw in a 30 inch tv and stand we will be fine with that considering a new roof would be over $2000 to fix I really thought I was being more than reasonable. Well lets cut a long story short I offered a $250 fix and 3 weeks later heard nothing, no tv, no stand, no phone call. When I called Jamie he blamed the office assistant and said he would get one mailed out ASAP. A week later nothing so I called back (this is now 4 weeks later) and Jamie said Walmart was out of stock, what? Of 30 inch tvs? No they werent they just hadnt done anything. So I said okay I want a new ceiling!! And so the story goes I never head anything back on that either. So I recanted that offer and demanded the unit be collected and the ceiling be replaced and of course no unit collected, having chased for 3 weeks- they finally collected the unit 2 weeks later I called to get an update and Jamie seemed totally obliviously to the situation. At that point I demanded a new unit. Well again nothing was ever done, no communication no feedback. At this point I got a corporate persons name and was told he would be in the office so I called to try and speak to him but of course Jamie intercepted the call and I was told he was with family and would call me straight back after 30 mins I called again and was told hes left for the day - shady treatment !!!!!! I Never did get to speak to anyone from Corporate despite leaving over 7 phone messages So having spoken to Jamie I found out he hadnt ordered a new unit, he hadnt ordered a new ceiling, he had not got a new tv or stand wow !! So, effectively HE HAD DONE NOTHING EXCEPT MAKE EXCUSES. My ordeal lasted 6 months and I finally got my money back I looked at units in July and bought the unit back in August had it sat at my house for nearly 2 months then the dealership had it for nearly 2 months and zero was done, every chance the dealership had to make this right they just could not be bothered. I of course had been paying on a RV I never used and never had for most of the time. Finally having threatened to take this to corporate and to court they took back the camper and I got my money back nearly 6 months later. this took over 30 phone calls, texts, 3 official letters and hours and hours of frustration. Jamie seemingly is the ONLY manager at Boat and RV and every efforts to speak to anyone else got ignored! At one point I had 8 contact names and called every single one and no one ever called back despite this being 100% their fault. Good products but bad service. I would never personally buy from Boat and RV again. I read the reviews and because I knew someone that worked there I thought I might have a better experience but that was definitely not the case.

User's recommendation: Don’t tell them it’s a new 2021 F450 with a 7.3 v8 when it’s a 2019 6.8 v10.

Don't walk away from Boat N RV Supercenter , RUN

You can cut and past "Rotten Rv Roof Tennessee" in a search (google video) engine to see video of the roof damage. 11/18/2018 used some of my "Extended Warranty I paid for" refund check to get a few repairs done. In 2 HOURS heat was fix. 1 crushed duct with holes and the other disconnected from the furnace. Slide adjusted to go out and in correctly and MISSING BOLTS replaced and loose ones tightened. Resealed the under belly. He told me (I crawled under to see it for myself loose bolts finger tight) that a few more times of operation and the remaining bolts would of fell out and the slide would of just fell out onto the ground. Boat N Rv couldn't even diagnosis (i gave them pictures twice showing the leak)and fix a toilet leaking flush valve in 31days it was in for service. 11/15/2018 It was like pulling hen's teeth but after 4 months emails, phone calls and letters, I finally got the money back for my extended warranty. Still waiting to hear about my 1 year warranty provided by Boat N Rv I never received. 11/12/2018 - Surprise! No air at all blowing from the kitchen and living room vents in the slide area (other vents blow warm air). Looked underneath and the heated under belly is sliced open below furnace slide area . Holes in duct work and evidence of work done on slide mechanism in an attempt to fix it so it would come out straight. I knew of the cosmetic (wheel well sticking out and they re-attached) damage they admitted occurred while movie the trailer and was assured the service department checked out the slide mechanism and it was fine. Another fine example of the quality workmanship of Boat N RV's service department! They didn't even bother to reinstall the under belly membrane they cut and left it hanging! 10/19/2018 - Boat N RV "NEVER SENT MY MONEY TO AMERICAN GUARDIAN SERVICE" for my extended warranty and that is why it was rejected by American Guardian Service. I was also entitled to a "full refund". because of this. He also said they were trying to figure out a way to give me my 1 year warranty and that is what the hold up was. Remember, I requested a 5 year extended warranty but I found out 4 moths later, the amount I paid was for a 6 year. This made it look like a 1 year paid by Bout N Rv plus my 5 year came to 6 years total. I guest I must be the first to keep digging to catch them in this scam. I hope This Helps You Make An Informed Decision! Boat N RV, Rockwood Tn. Purchased April 2018 a 2017 Layton (NEW) They Lied saying it had a Factory Warranty. (we told them several times that was the only reason for buying new) Why is it a MANAGER SPECIAL? Told me the Owner decided not to carry that line anymore by a sales person who worked there for over 7 years? Signed the paper work to purchase and gave them a down payment. Then found out the manufacture went out of business 2016 so there was NO Factory warranty. Advertised Pictures on the web site didn't match trailer. They removed the dinette, Tv, Slide molding, replaced the stereo and cut the wires instead of using (later date)a wiring harness. Offered us a FREE 1 yr bumper to bumper Warranty Better Then Factory. We opted to purchase a 5 yr extended warranty as we planed on having it for several years. Out of the first 74 days of owning the trailer BOAT N RV had it for 31 DAYS for very minor issues! All work was denied Warranty coverage. So much for bumper to bumper guarantee! Went to put Maxairll vent covers on the vents and discovered a section of the roof was rotted. Holes in the membrane. Roof coverage denied. We have 12 to 15 thousand dollars for repairs depending on what they find. Knoxville Rv dealer estimate. Went to cancel the warranty and found out we paid for the whole 6 years. So we didn't received the 1 year paid for by Boat n Rv and the 5 year extended by us. No response to letters, emails or voice mail.
