AI Highlights
  • - Inconsistent techs and a dog-home service policy.
  • - Billing is unclear; charges appear late and two months are due; scheduling issues.

There were 2 issues. The first involved the technician that came to my house.

They sent another one out two days later. The other billing issue was caused by my bank.

Blue Sky allowed for the time necessary for me to investigate and get the bank to fix their random error. Talk to the company and work together to fix issues.

Is it AI? Is it the harvest moon?

What the heck has happened with this company? I am a multiyear customer who has recommended this company to nearly 10 of their current customers. All of the sudden, it is like they have drank crazy koolaid. First, this year, they send different folks nearly everytime for their 60 day visit.

It would be nice to have consistency, but no. You gotta wonder why.
Next, this week they send a new guy (of course, as usual) but because no one is home, he refuses to do our house. He claims to "have done the front" but our cameras show only the front door was done before he takes off. His excuse, we own dogs!

Our dogs are crate trained and were inside as usual with their bones. Windows covered. There were no dogs in the backyard or by the "unlocked" gate. Our inside dogs have never been an issue over multiple decades with various pest control companies.

Spoiled as they are, our dogs even refuse to go outside without us. We were not advised that there was a brand new policy that we would not be serviced if not home because we own 2 30 lb dogs. Happy Holidays to him! I called and complained because of the shoddy service.
The first response of this company is to send me a weird email showing monthly charges.

I have no idea what this means as it does not explain whether it is a receipt or bill. I have never received an email from them like this. This company takes their charges monthly from my credit card. For some reason, they did not take their payment the previous month after using this card for at least 2 years.

The card is valid and works with everyone else. So, suddenly I owe them for 2 months when this months payement is due more than 2 weeks from now.
So, they sent a second person to our house, who has been here before (nice change!). He arrives early which NEVER happens. Perhaps to catch our "wild" dogs roaming their yard--as is their right.

But of course, our powder puff dogs are snoozing on the family room couch which is what they do most of the time when we are home. This pest guy says he will only do the backyard as the entire front yard has already been completed (not true). Whatever. My husband props our already unlocked gate wide open for the technician.

He does the work and rings the front door bell. Our dogs are still in their crates. One barks a greeting. He leaves after explaining that it is too hard to relock our simple gate.

That has happened before. No biggie.
We have no dog door as we are home off and on throughout a typical day and the dogs insist we go out with them.
So what's up Blue Sky? I had to call customer service to get an additional Saturday pest apt after the first guy bailed and then called again to advise your company to use the card that they have on file. This call also included my request banning the original deceptive, 1st technician from EVER being on our property again as he is not trustworthy and has his own agenda.

Regarding billing, certainly, a call a few weeks ago about this issue would have been more productive or even a clearer email. Or maybe retrying it?

Ugh! So much for customer loyalty.
Pros:
  • Usually do good work
Cons:
  • Company has imploded recently

Preferred solution: Apology

User's recommendation: Do not hire this company until they clarify their dog, technician training, and billing policies.
