Poor quality work. Material used was not what was promised.

Repair was supposed to include two full length aluminum panels and back panel to repair some rear corner damage to my travel trailer. When I was called informing me that my camper was ready I was told that I could pick it up the following Monday.

On my way to get it, I received a text telling me where the keys were. When I got there, there were only two campers left on the lot. Stretch and Kim were not there. Apparently, they had already left for their new location in Alabama.

Keys were left where they said with no receipt. I was appalled at the repair. Panels were pieced. Wheel well cover was coming off where it looked like adhesive was just recently done and cover was buckled.

Panels did not fit properly. Trim was not caulked. When I hooked up to leave. I discovered the left blinked and running lights did not work.

Taillight was taped on. Discovered that wiring redone after installing back panel was not connected properly.

Very poor wiring attempt. I feel these folks ripped off me and my insurance company.

Had telephone conversation with Miss Kim a few days ago. She stated Blue Ridge RV does not have insurance so I can't file a claim.

Essentially all she did was her standard belligerent yelling over top of what we were trying to say. They did manage to have my Google review removed.Blue Ridge RV is just simply terrible.

What was quoted as a full week to perform insurance repairs languished into 9 weeks. Because we were told it would only be a week or two, we rented an air b-n-b for $525.00 per week while the motorhome was in the shop.

(We are travelling so living in the motorhome.)
After the second week, because I had only taken along enough medications for 2 weeks, I returned to the motorhome to resupply. I am retired Navy and totally and permanently disabled by the VA (Service connected), so I take a lot of meds. When I explained this to Kim, she said she would give a military discount. She did not.

No work had been done.
After the first month, I told Kim I needed to run the generator (gas), add distilled water to the 2 house batteries and charge them (Blue Ridge RV Repair will not let you leave your rig plugged to 110 VAC) Kim replied stating that if the house batteries needed water that the batteries were no good and I should replace them. She also stated that I did not need to run the generator. This demonstrates Kim and Stretch do not understand how gas motorhomes work. A gasoline Onan generator must be run at least a few hours every month.

I know as I did not and had to pay $700.00 for a new carburetor installation this past February.
Lead-acid house batteries require monthly maintenance as well, ensuring each cell is full of water. Again, this demonstrates Kim/Stretch fundamental incomprehension of gas motorhome systems, subsystems and RVs in general.
The Progressive Insurance company adjuster factored replacing the rear cap into the estimate. Blue Ridge RV repair did not replace the rear cap as directed. Instead, the rear cap is now a big glob of Bondo, for which they charged the insurance company an additional ~$4,000.00.

Had Blue Ridge RV repair simply replaced the rear cap as instructed their additional claim to slather more Bondo onto ALL of the rear cap would have been unnecessary. Bondo and paint work sloppy.
The repair is incomplete. When I pointed this out at delivery, Kim went into the office, then returned stating she had called Progressive and that those repairs were not part of the claim. I told her she was wrong.

Then she argued with us. She only stopped her antics when I threatened to call the Police. Subsequently we contacted Progressive and those repairs are indeed covered. Progressive refunded our $1,000.00 deductible and told us to go elsewhere to have the rest of the repairs completed.
The repair work that WAS performed is entirely unacceptable - sloppy - amateurish at best.
Office manager (Kim) doesn't understand the business and becomes immediately hostile and defensive..

Fit, finish and paint unacceptable.
I have included photos of the 'new ladder' on rear cap. Apparently, the new ladder didn't line up with the original ladder. Now I have roughly a dozen holes in the rear cap from the original ladder. These old screw holes have not been filled or painted.

Some screws aren't screwed in tightly.
Kim/Stretch simply don't get RV repair, how to provide even a modicum of reasonable customer service, talk over you and believes they know more than you do about your own motor home. Their communication skills are non-existent. They refuse to provide progress updates via phone or have a sit-down meeting to discuss repair status.
Kim stated multiple times over the course of the 2-month repair that the ladder for the rear cap had been ordered. The ladder was finally ordered on July 28th.

We dropped the rig at Blue Ridge RV repair on June 6th.
Dishonest? Possibly. Not sure.
Promoted out of her skill set? Absolutely.

Hence, her immediate defensiveness and hostility when questioned.
Using our insurance money to finish other work? Possibly. Not sure.
In summation - overpromised and under delivered, poor craftsmanship, attention to detail and terrible customer service. Overall, a terrible experience that ruined 2 months of our summer vacation and cost us a lot of unanticipated (and unnecessary) money.

Not to mention the stress and anxiety Blue Ridge RV repair caused us. And they do not care.

Preferred solution: Poor workmanship and incomplete repairs corrected by a reputable RV body shop. Full refund for 9 weeks of Air BNB ($525.00 per week) less $750.00 paid by Progressive. Remove dishonest post about us on the internet and replace with public apology.
