Complaint

I am a health care professional calling in for an authorization on an inpatient. I have been on the never ending recording for 26 minutes as of right now, this is way too long and extreme. I enter the same information over and over and have yet to speak to a customer representative. It might behoove you to hire more people to expedite this process. Please do something about this as I do not have 30 minutes to wait for an authorization.

Incompetance, and questionable business practices

I have had more issues with Blue Cross Blue Shield in the last ten years living in the state of Oklahoma, than I ever had with United Health Care living in Minnesota. It's like they think the people here are a bunch of backwoods hicks.

My latest issue is a battle to get a prescription filled. In 3 weeks time, I have yet to get a prescription filled because Blue Cross wants me to substitute a different medication, which I had tried in the past at their request. The side effects caused me to rack up over $1,800 in out of pocket expenses having chest pains looked at. Who knows what the insurance company wasted in payments, all to save a $100 on a specific prescription.

I thought the Health Care Act was suppose to prohibit the insurance companies from denying coverage on pre-existing conditions, which should include pre-existing prescriptions. I have had to have my doctor write a referral in the past. Blue Cross has no record of it, though I have a copy of it, and have had the prescription filled in the past using it. My doctors office said they sent out the requested information 2 weeks ago to the insurance company, yet they claim they don't have anything.

Someone needs to hold the insurance company accountable. I can't wait for Obama-care to go away, this is ridiculous to pay so much in premiums, and the company gets away with what amounts to theft.

Appalled at subversive attempt to gather personal info

I had a simple question regarding out-of-market, individual health insurance plans. Took two days, numerous ignorant and rude phone encounters and several attempts by them to gather my personal information JUST TO ASK A QUESTION!!!

All they had to do was say NO, we don't offer any plans. Stop the hard sales tactics--you are robbing the good people of Oklahoma with your exorbitant increases for 2017. Thanks OBAMA AND DEMOCRATS!! Can't wait for this extortion to end!

There SHOULD be options for people nearing Medicare who are willing to pay their entire premiums without any help that all you "tax credit" recipients enjoy. At least our premiums should have been totally deductible on federal taxes. I suppose every who gets subsidized gets that tax free.

I get slammed from every angle--I am one of the 48% who actually PAY federal tax. Disgusting turn of events in a country that rolls out the red carpet for people here illegaly who get all manner of taxpayer-funded services.

Imbeciles!

Ok, I try not to rant too much unless I get REALLY pissed. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma are the biggest group of *** I have ever dealt with.

Every time I have to call in I feel like they actually get less intelligent. Not only do they always ask to talk to my 4 yr old to see if they can talk to me, I filed claims - per their instructions that they received Dec 15th - they still have not processed. 1.5 weeks ago I received a letter saying that they finally finished one of the claims and would be sending money to the provider. I called in and said no they needed to send me check because I had paid that bill in full.

They said ok. Now I call in to check the status of my other claim and get told neither were processed. Oh and the refund I was waiting on is my extra I had paid for my monthly premiums.

They are refunding me that. I guess I magically pulled that claims pd letter out of no where and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma doesn't like people to pay their bill in advance.
