Services ; Charges variance for ECG , Routine
On 1/10/20 I visited Dr. John Mclachian and on 9/11/20 I had a return visit on both visits an ECG Routine was done I have received monthly reports showing different Plan's Share ,but the amount providers have billed remained the same.
Billing code was the same. I was billed $11.00 more for the 9/11/20 ECG..I called in October about this matter and was assured by your agent that this would be taken of . The person i talked to visited with a supervisor and agreed on the error and would correct. Nothing has been corrected.
I called again about this matter today . It is your responsibility to get things right not me .
I pay for the service and expect it to be correct no excuses. The respective claim number is 20014E05VMOO and 202440E79K00

No in network pulmonologists within 75 miles of my home...
I had a collapsed lung and the pulmonologist that saw me is not "in network" with BCBS. The doctor's office manager refuses to see me unless I pay out of pocket...
BCBS will only pay if that doctor signs a contract with them... Went to the BCBS website, NO pulmonologists "In Network" within 75 miles. Called BCBS, the nearest "In Network" pulmonologist is in New Orleans. 3 hr drive.
This is total *** on BCBS's part.
If they cannot get a doctor to sign a contract with them then they should look at their business model... How odorous does this contract have to be that doctors will willingly turn down patients because they would have to deal with BCBS?

Blue Cross And Blue Shield Of Louisiana - Cymbalta Prescription Refill Review from Fairplay, Colorado
I've been taking cimbalta for about 2 years this is a time released medicine used for anxiety and long term pain management I take 90 mg of this medicine. Doctor called my refill in for the 90 mg mind you I've been taking 90 mg of cimbalta.
They denied my medicine they only wanted to pay for60 mg. So I have not taken my meds for 8 days now. They said they needed a prior approval so I did this and I have still not received my medicine. I talked to a lady on the phone 5 days ago she said I could do a emergency 5 day supply if the pharmacy requested it so they did they denied it and said the doctor needed to do this.
Why would y'all say one thing and require something completely different. Very frustrated with this situation.
BCBS Louisiana - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE
Spoke with three different African American females that had no idea if my Annual Exam benefits had been documented as a "Wellness Visit" when a doctor visit was needed to address an alergic reaction to anti-biotics. They claimed it would take too long to research the previous claims in my account.
Despite their warning I agreed to wait for them to do the research. After approximately 2 minutes on hold, she returned to the call to explain she wouldn't be able to help me and I should do my on research to see if I still qualify for an Annual Physical benefit or to determine if it had been used.

Blue Cross And Blue Shield Of Louisiana Staff Review
The workers over the phone are VERY rude and IMPATIENT. At the very end of the call when I decided blue cross and blue shield did not meet my needs, the woman over the phone laughed at me and hung up.
Cancelled policy and then charged
I called in November of 2014 to get a new policy to reduce my my premium. After being on the phone for 1 hour 33 minutes I agreed upon a new policy and was told I would not be charged the premium until January.
The amount came out prior to hanging up the phone with agent at customer service. I called back and was refunded money 7 days later and policy was cancelled, so I was told. I never received any information in mail about this new policy and new I had until February 15th to get another one as my old one expired in December. Since nothing came in the mail and I was told it was cancelled I assumed I had no insurance.
I even needed to seek medical treatment in January but did not because.....Well I had no insurance.
I was charged in February for January and February, $670.00. I have called about 10 times in the past 2 weeks and have gotten 10 different stories. No one knows exactly what is going on.
I was told to send this in, send that in, call the Market Place to get your money back. I was told that I was set up with an on exchange policy so of course I had to cancel that and set up another policy for an off exchange policy which cost me another $335 the same week. I'm exhausted and confused but I'm fighting this fully. How do you refund someone their money back but don't cancel the policy?
I was on one of my 10 conversations I've had with them in the past few weeks that I was suppose to call the Market Place to cancel but this was never related to me, I was directly told the policy was cancelled. You don't go and buy a car and then requests your money back but keep the car, it's now how it works.
I believe this was a huge mess up on their end and they are only trying to cover themselves when they know they messed up. I was also told that the reason I was not charged for January in January was because the Market Place didn't submit my information (hence I set this policy up through Blue Cross, not the Market Place)until February but then when I spoke to another person they told me it was because the agent didn't submit until February.
I have requested transcripts of all of the phone calls I have made to them since November as I know this is a key item in proving my claim in this matter.
Why can't understanding insurance be easy? We may never know.
Blue Cross And Blue Shield Of Louisiana - Insurance Review
Blue Cross is the absolute worst insurance. You call before hand to check the cost, then go into procedures thinking everything is covered at a certain rate only to find out later that you were told wrong by Blue Cross reps and they WILL NOT uphold what you were quoted!
This has happened so many times to us. When I ask Blue Cross how am I supposed to know for sure about costs if I can't even count on what they ... And all they have to say is "I don't know" .
Dropping this this sorry company and going with my husband's insurance. He never has problem.
Blue Cross And Blue Shield Of Louisiana - Insurance Premiums Review from Slidell, Louisiana
Hi. I hope someone can help me?
Or please some information. I signed up for BCBS in June 2014. With auto draw from my bank.. little did I know, the state of Arkansas is also paying the premium.
So, BCBS is getting paid TWICE! I called my bank to stop payment. BCBS changed account a few penny and collect from my back AGAIN!! Now, after calling and making complaints with Arkansas Attorney General.
Maybe this will stop?
Anybody else have this problem? Thank you
Terrible cusotmer service
This is my third attempt to resolve my problems on the phone with Blue Cross. My daughter has two member Id' numbers.
The payment has been taken from my account twice. I was on hold 3 1/2 hours the first time, 2 the second time and 3 hours and 22 minutes this morning. I am still not sure my problem is resolved. I keep getting sent to different workers, on hold each time only to find out, they are not the person to help me.
This last worker promised to stay on the line with me till the problem was resolved. I guess he was on hold too long because he hung up on me. I was then told that I was not actually speaking with blue cross any longer, I was speaking with a the people in dental sales?????
I was told all I can do is call back the BC/BS number again. I am becoming physically sick dealing with this!
Blue Cross Blue Sheild of LA accepts priumium while deneying access to their services.
Blue Cross Blue shield LA takes premiums but you do not have access to their services. You can not get a pin to access their on-line information about what is covered and who can provide the services.
Once you get your pin they still deny you access to their website. Where is the class action suit. I know I am not they only person that they are ripping-off. Even after spending 45 minutes with their on line rep I still could not access their site.
They sent a fourth link for new password in 7 days.
Why would anyone continue to listen to them after they have lied consistently. They have been collecting premiums for four months now and support.
BCBSLA refuses pre approval delays surgery!
I have surgery scheduled in 3 days. (bunion) I have been trying to check benefits(coverage) with BCBSLA since 09/6 (office staff says no pre-auth necessary, but I don't take chances with insurance companies). BCBSLA has been "working on my question" for 10 days now. They keep quoting an exclusion which relates to corns and callouses and cosmetic procedures of the foot. Mine is medically necessary, not cosmetic. I'm in pain and this is bone surgery. In any case, they mention the exclusion, but then say, we've forwarded your inquiry to specialist and they are working on it. This is not an unusual surgery...very commonplace. They know the answer (I believe it's covered) They are playing with me in the hopes I'll give up and cancel the surgery. It is shameful. This is not the first time they've been difficult. They also refused outright to pay for valid claims against my former VIP plan (cash back for hospitalizations). The agent who sold me the plan was nowhere when I needed her help to fight them on this. I took the matter to the State Insurance Board and won. Then I cancelled this fraudulent plan (VIP Plan....stay away from this one...it's a scam).
It is a shame what insurance companies can get away with these days. It is criminal. You must be vigilent...watch what they are doing ....keep track of claims, etc. And especially be wary of doctor's who demand pre payment (for us with high deductible plans). I have had to fight back for my money numerous times once the claim is filed and I overpaid the doctor.
Good luck to all of those fighting with the cross and shield!

Blue Cross sets the "reasonable and customary" payments to medical providers and if a provider wishes to be "in network" then they must accept what Blue Cross pays them. As is the case with Medicare and most other health insurance providers, they pay at a very low rate.
This means the providers can barely make ends meet with the lowball payments. This is the state of affairs now in the country.
Don't blame the doctors, etc., blame the system we have now. By the way, I do hope you are happy subsidizing millions of people in their health care---ObamaCare---in addition to paying your own insurance premiums.
