Wifi non-existent

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Bloom Broadband - Wifi non-existent

I pay for the fastest plan, 300MBPS, for $74 a month. Want to guess what I actually get?

Upload speeds of max 20MBPS and download speeds never even reach 1MBPS. I contacted every internet provider for my area, and no one services my building, so I am truly stuck with this provider. I cannot call the company, since there is also limited cell service and usually I would use wifi calling but that isn't happening so calls keep getting dropped. So I tried to email them, email bounced back saying the company's server wouldn't accept the email.

Currently speed are so bad it will take several minute to load a single webpage, unless there is more than one device trying to use the wifi, in which case forget it. Netflix won't event try to load as it says the service is too slow and unreliable to use.

Cons:
  • Inconsistent access
  • Dial up speeds

Preferred solution: Offer different wifi at my building

User's recommendation: Don't bother

Unreliable slow throttled internet

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Edward Rose / Bloom internet should be illegal. Maybe it already is. Forced to use the landlords internet, when the surrounding areas can choose comcast or provider they please. Extremely unreliable with throttling and constant outages. Bill lumped in with rent. Owner needs to compensate the thousands of people who work from home and have experienced income losses, as well as everyone just trying to use the internet they are paying for. Just another greedy guy hiding behind incorporation.

Bloom Broadband = Edward & Sons Slush Fund

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Here's the raw deal folks>>

Bloom Broadband is owned by Edward & Sons.

If you lease at an Edward & Sons property, they will force you to use Bloom Broadband. It doesn't matter if there are 3 or 4 providers that would give you options in the area, you will have to pay them for your internet service as well.

Bloom Broadband is a 3rd Party carrier that pays real ISPs (for example, AT&T) $$ for internet bandwidth. They are intentionally throttling internet traffic to slice margins, while doing absolutely nothing to update their infrastructure.

In the aggregate, this amounts to frequent outages, bad connectivity, and noise. They are discriminating against certain types of traffic, which is total *** Your internet connection, cybersecurity, and sanity will suffer.

Put in a complaint, and they'll play a game of whack-a-mole and try to blame things like your personal devices and home modem, or point to bad wiring. In the end, it's a tiny company that does not have the technical capacity nor the infrastructure to offer this service. Bad wiring is definitely a problem, but frequent outages are the result of their service.

If internet is essential, avoid Edward Rose & Sons at all costs. If you are a current resident, complain, complain, complain. You deserve better... or at least an option to seek out an internet provider that can provide a service that's actually worth paying for.

Here is their service number: +1-87*-***-****. On a positive note, I was immediately routed to a live person and their techs are nice, even if they can't help with the issues.

Worst internet for decent apartments

Internet speeds are so bad it is like traveling back in time. Videos lag and buffer. Don't move here if you enjoy playing video games or anything that requires good internet. The old people here don't even know what an internet is so they don't care as long as they get to watch Golden Girls on Cable.

Pros:
  • It is internet you can technically use
Cons:
  • It is horribly slow

Preferred solution: I'd like to move the *** out of these apartments to one that could provide modern internet.

User's recommendation: Don't move here unless you like living in the 90's

Poor service

I've had my apartment for 6 years and the internet has been a massive issue since day 1. I wish they would fix it but they are far too greedy to upgrade the service to something that actually works.

Edward properties are nothing slum lord ran. No preventive maintenance.

Property managers are rude, and blame you for all their problems.

Even when you have proof and documentation it was their fault. Stay away from these properties.

Information to public

Clicked on link to make call, surprised to see pop up asking why I wanted to speak with someone.,.,wierd.. that is information you would get when you answer a call not before a call is taken.

Made me feel like my call was being screened to see if they wanted to talk to me or not.. very put off by.. then they wanted even more information before I could make the call, email, city, phone number etc.. all before I could get the phone number to call!

I stuck with it and finally got the call through at 5:01pm you guessed it.. only to have my call not answered because they were closed? At 5:01pm? Really?

Needless to say that this is not what I expected from a multi million dollar company..

completely unprofessional.. but the sad truth is I need their internet, no one Else can provide it to where I live, so I have to suck it up and call back tomorrow to get their internet

I've never had an isp limit and throttle as hard as these guys. Then pretend there's "nothing on their end" and get called back 15 minutes later for them to say "oh, we found some noise" sure, dude.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Internet speeds are never consistent. I can use a mid to high range piece of tech, and it still wouldn't matter. These guys love to screw with people. My upload speeds are on average always through the floor. I call these guys every couple of months for the same issue over and over. Download speeds are good enough to exist, however, also remain inconsistent, but don't matter as much because they offer up to 300, whereas the upload is only a baby *** 10... A WHOPPING 10 WHOLE UPLOAD... WOW!

Pros:

Cons:
  • Horrible consistency slow speeds low speeds bad prices bad qs

Preferred solution: I would like to get the quality of service I pay for. Not whatever they're giving out. This is service at 300 dl and 10ul with inconsistency, should only be worth $40

User's recommendation: Stay away if you have options.

High latency, ok speed.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Latency fluctuates from 80-20**** (not joking), insane packet loss, frequent temporary 1 to 5 second outages. Rubber-banding and nonstop frequent changes in latency make playing games online nearly impossible, and never comfortable. This internet service's purpose seems to be for the new age of streaming, with consistency and speed being forgone for high bandwidth and "affordability". In all, a terrible service, that everyone knows is terrible, and they know you will put up with it.

I'll go one worse. We live in apartments owned and managed by Edward Rose, which happens to be the owner of Bloom. These apartments are not in a service area for any other cable/internet provider, too far from 'the big city' Since it's the only game in town I'm stuck with the over priced stripped down 'privately owned' Dish network and hit and miss internet functionality with very poor support.

Terrible service. It continually goes off, but apparently everything on their end is great. I bought a new mode/router thinking it was going to fix the issue because they said it was on my end. It worked for all of 2 hours and the service it out. Again. They have yet to help me, and I work from home.
