Blinds.co.uk - terrible company
Shocking service right from the start. I had arranged a day for measuring. I was given a noon-5pm time slot, so I made sure I was at home. I was told I'd get a one hour heads-up (a phone call one hour prior). It was 4.50pm and still nothing. So I called them. They didn't even apologise. The man, who sounded bored, said to wait and expect a call. At 5.25 I got a call from someone else. He said he can come now, so I said ok. He arrived at 6.00, meaning I didn't need to have spent my afternoon waiting. What a waste. After the measuring, he said I'd receive a quote the next day. No one got in touch. No quote. I chased them up on the quote days later. I received the quote in the body of an email. It was the most pathetic thing I'd ever seen. No information at all. I had asked the measurer for measurements for 4 windows, with prices. The purpose of this was that I wanted blinds for two of them, and then, if that didn't block enough light, I'd get the other two as well. What I got was prices for 5 windows, and… that's it! I didn't know which price represented which window. I asked repeatedly for a proper quote.. just basic, simple information. But they weren't happy. I still don't know. I'm still waiting, and it's been two months now. I also wanted a repair to an existing blind. It was a small part that needed replacing, and this was the company that had installed it prior to my moving in. They said they can send the part to me in the post. I thought, this is nice! Francesca took down my address. (Why she did this I don't know, as they already have my address, but if it saved her time, fair enough). So the next day I got excited.. checked my post.. nothing. And the next, and the next. I called them, asking what's going on, and spoke to a man who claimed it had nothing to do with him, and that he doesn't have to deal with this. But that he'd give Francesca a message, and she'd call me in the morning. In the days that followed, no call. I called again, and got the man again. He said why do I keep calling when Francesca is out. So much for friendly service. I asked him again what is going on, and he replied Francesca doesn't call people back - she's too busy! Ok, so why then did he fob me off the last time? He suggested I could come into the shop. So I did. I came a few minutes before closing time… and it was closed! It was the recent very hot day, and I suspect the man wanted to finish early and enjoy himself. I wasted one and a half hours for that visit. I email them, but they do not reply. Then one day I got an email from the owner, Bernice. She seemed nicer than the others, and apologised. But this was less sincere than I initially thought. She claimed to look into matters, and revealed that there had been a misunderstanding, and that Francesca never agreed to send anything. Wow. So why did she take my address, and say the words 'I'm sending it'? Did she want to make a personal visit to my address? That was a clear lie, and everybody knew it. Bernice then indicated the part would be delivered or sent. I waited and waited, but nothing. Currently I have received nothing from them, not even apologies or explanations. They are the absolute worst company I have ever come across, in any field. Rude, inconsiderate, lying, tardy, lazy, downright awful.
