25 year customer says, No More!

Saturday I awoke to Bank Alerts, Insufficient Funds, and Declined Payments. Without notice, *** Blick put a hold on my account for $1,172.04. Why?

The day before Blick charged me $596.74. Blick miscalculated by charging for a $21.44 brush that they did not actually have in stock. No problem, give me a $21 credit. Its not an issue for me! Right?! One brush, a $21 value, no biggie!

No! Amongst themselves, the next day, Blick decided to charge my account an additional $575.30 together with the $596.74 hold totaling $1,172.04., on a Saturday. An account hold for five business days plus two weekend days with absolutely no notice!

Was I able to straighten things out over the phone? No! They told me, thats our policy. and we dont have to ask or tell you how often we bill or for how much we bill.

I explained that I was a 25-year loyal customer, never having any disputed charge. They responded, well, we have no control over your bank. You must be confused about billings and holds. Call your financial institution on Monday.

This issue is about one paintbrush with a value of $20.22 that Blick transformed into a $1,172.04 account hold without any notice to me. Buyer beware. I strongly suggest that you consider this ridiculous rant before giving Blick your credit or debit card information!

Shipped order missing

Hello,

I placed an online order with you several weeks ago, and received notification that my order was supposedly delivered to my apartment complex on 4/23. However, the package is nowhere to be found in any of the mail rooms and my landlord confirmed that he did not see or move any packages.

I have already filed a claim with fedex, but they are not being responsive. This was a fairly large order and I would like to either be refunded or at least figure out a way we can find where this package ended up.

Insulted, embarrassed and infuriated

I have spent hundreds possibly thousands of dollars at the Seattle Blick location and get treated like a criminal. Every section I go to look for my materials I am harassed and followed by members of the Blake management.

I was going to just order online from them but now I will never shop at Blak again.

I urge anyone that has self-respect or cares that physical stores still exist to boycott Blick. Especially the Seattle location

Avoid at all cost

tried to buy $56 worth of stuff... denied twice and don't know why, joined the club, couldn't tell if I was a member or not, no indication of being logged in or out.

So far I cant buy stuff and I don't know if im a "member" or whether Im logged in or not. Chat requires some kind of sign up so I go for the 1 800 number. The snarky woman I got to talk to seemed upset that I wasn't brilliant enough to figure out their ways of doing business. If they don't want to do business, fine, but you are wasting my time.

One more thing is the bbb. They didn't give blick accreditation and yet blick has a A+ rating (facepalm)

Awful service, incompetent

I am a bulk customer and every few months I place about 20 orders and on every order something is screwed up. They always short me on items and then credit and rebill me which means I have to do a lot more paperwork every time they screw up.

They can't label my orders right and process them correctly so I don't have to hound them for receipts, shipping confirmations, etc. They make ordering supplies a nightmare.

Ordering with Blick seems so easy but it's always a hassle and staff could use training so everything gets done the right way, EVERY TIME. I'm so disappointed in the way they operate.

Beware of spyware on DickBlick web site.

If you visit the site, you will notice afterwards that items you looked at will show up as ads on other sites. This is because they are using spyware. According to their own web site:

"This site uses ClickTale web analytics service. ClickTale may record mouse clicks, mouse movements, scrolling activity as well as any text you type in this website."

I found this *** and now avoid the site.

Worse customer service

I must report here that I've never had worse customer service than that which I am receiving now from dickblick.com.

At a point in the past, I created a wish list that I never intended anyone to see. I did not publish it.

Before Christmas I created a 2014 Christmas Wish List and sent it out to friends and family.

Not a single copy of my wish list arrived, not even the copy I sent to myself. Consequently, I received things I didn't want for Christmas from well intended family members. One family member searched the website for my name and only came up with the wish list that no one was ever intended to see. He purchased an item, an expensive easel.

Now I am trying to return the easel and I am also being charged the full freight to return plus a heavy restocking charge.

Repeated calls have failed to get any satisfaction at all. They accept no responsibility at all for their failure to have a manageable wish list or to stand by their service promises.

I am actually shocked at the poor customer service I have received.

Buying art supplies online

I have been buying art supplies from *** Blick art supplies on line for over 3 years and have never had a problem. The people I have spoken with are always very knowledgeable and understand the problems an artist can come acrossed.

They have been very good at looking over each item I purchase to make sure there are no flaws.

Flaws or bad spots often occur in canvas or paper and these guys make sure to check each for anything that might cause a problem.

They ship each item in a timely manner and package each item very carefully. I highly recommend *** Blick Art Supplies.

Don't make it bad for everyone else, because is not.

They have been courteous and attentive to me and even received free samples.
