My experience in the psych ward

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Hello I am 13F and I hate your psych wards. The beds were rock hard, the pillows were just small pieces of cloth.

The dayrooms were okay but we had something called the comfort room where you basically just isolate kids. And if some kid accidentally bumps into another or gets too close there compared to sexual abusers. I know everyone comes in for different reasons but JESUS *** CHRIST!

Also you were not allowed to make ANY friends there at all. The whole place was isolating and awful

This hospital is a joke and should be shut down they don't care about anyone and want to ALWAYS do invasive procedures that are not necessary.

Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit is a joke. The psychiatrist spends five minutes with a patient very early in the morning to complete an assessment. The nurses talk to patients through *** in the w

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The unit is not safe allowing bullish patients to torment the unit as they throw fits. Patients are allowed to sleep ALL day without little to no encouragement from the nurses whom put more effort into their Starbucks coffee orders. Nurses builly the new nurses and management pretends not to see the culture.

Blessing hospital has bad service when it comes to children my daughter was there for having pneumonia in her chest they failed to give her iv fluids they gave me wrong results on her temp and said it was normal and was as high as 104 and she came in at temp of 100 and how does a place that should make you better make you worse. My child is five and has been treated like an adult and the pediatric floor doesnt come check on the kids they didnt even come when my child threw up they blankly told me to hold on when I pressed call button.

Blessing is one of the worst hospitals I have ever taken my daughter to. And nurses are under trained

Xenophobic nursing staffd and HR approves

I brought it to the attention to HR in regards that one of their nurses have been sharing raciest and xenophobic views while promoting their hospital. HR stated "nothing hey can do about it." No attempt to reassure me that their views do not align with that particular staff. NO attempt to reassure me that patients would not be treated unfairly due to their views.

If you have a complaint about a doctor or even the hospital then the people to complain to are 1. the doctor, in person; 2.

the hospital---wander up to the admin offices and tell them you want to file a complaint against..... 3.

you can file a complaint with your state and/or county medical board. Find your state's main website and look for the appropriate agency that regulates medical care.

Lab Appointments

Would someone please remind the nurses to set up lab work for their doctors' patients? I had specifically asked a nurse to make sure that my lab work was in the system, and she said it would be.

When I arrived at the lab, I was told that it was not in the system! I do not know about other people, but I have to drive a distance to get to the lab. It costs time, money, and gasoline, plus having to deal with traffic, road detours, and stupid drivers to get there, and then be told that the order for blood work is not in the system!

This has happened to me more than once. It is frustrating, and the aggravation is not worth it, not to mention a new doctor and a new nurse every one to three years to "get to know."

Doctor Cormia bad treatment of patients

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My wife suffers from PDST , on disability for mental reasons. Also suffers from chronic back pain .

Dr. Cormia has been her Dr. for over a year , she went to see him to get her refills . He said didn't see were she had been using the pain patch's.So he cut her pain pills , made her fell like she was a drug addict, she came home crying.

He made her so depressed, she couldn't stop crying . He yelled at her so everyone in the office could here. He should know you do that to a manic depressant , with suicidal tendencies. He should not talk to any patient 's like that at all.

He needs to watch what he says to his patients. I will never let a doctor talk like that to my again .

Something needs to be done about his behavior. This approach to treating people like there a lower classed drug addicts needs to stop .

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My mom has been in the hospital for 2 weeks. Toinght she kept complaining about her legs being in pain for hours.

She wanted to get up but no one would help her. The dr said she had low iron but nothing was done about it for a week!

Also the dr ordered her to have a smack at night bir she only got a snack for about 3 days. Horrible care you can wait hours & no one will check on you after you hit the button.

Blessing Hospital is a joke... only out for political gain

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The only care giving to certain individuals is what i presume to be the treat and street mentaility... basically put a bandaid on a severe issue (rectal bleeding, vomiting, etc...) then street/ discharge them treating sick elderly people like drug seekers instead of the important human beings they are that are more than deserving of the right to be comfortable as well as figuring out what is causing the problem.

It has taken four trips to ER just to have a CAT scan accomplished on this final visit but not with out attitude and having to call patient services for this behavior from what is supposed to be a professional, caring patient oriented enviroment. Dr. Aurora Bell, is the most unprofessional physican i have ever encountered on either side of the spectrum... from caregiver (LPN) to patient to family member just in the presence of the bed side manner this person that should be thinking about whether her next two years of residency is even worth it.

My advice would be to change physicans immediately, not only because of the crackerjack box she pulled her medical licensing out of but because she was obviously not in attendance to any kind of patient/doctor bedside manner relationships... probably opting out and getting terrible notes from whoever she paid to take them for her... most doctors are only at SIU for a short time and do not develop the patient/caregiver relationship need for any human being to feel as if they are being cared for in the best manner the physician has available to them.

I swear if anything more happens to my surrogate mom because of HER negligance to treat my loved one as a person afraid of what was happening to her just wanting answers, I wont just be calling corporate services filing a complaint. I'll be contacting a lawyer too...

Legal System Uses hospital as a weapon

I was put in to blessing hospitals 6th floor Psych Unit for video taping my mother being up in their "care" unit.

They have had my mother on psychotropic drugs for over 30 years, with no diagnosis that would even remotely suggest that there was any scientific evidence that showed that she ever had a mental disorder. If there was a disorder, it was caused by the drugs that she had know knowledge what they were actually for. She was just being sold the idea that she had a brain disease and that it would cure her. They didn't have a sign stating that cameras weren't allowed and the guy let me through the door with it. the camera was in plain view.

Blessing hospital is notorious for countless wrongful deaths and medical malpractices. They practice Defensive Medicine.

I hope it makes them happy that my mother is now deceased because of their little court system that they have in their pocket.

Psychiatry almost killed me. It's a fraud used to dumb people down with drugs.

No one gets any medical test to prove they are "ill" before being drugged. I
