I have been using Blanka's travel services for years. She has been always very professional, provided me with the most excellent service, she is always friendly and knowledgable. It happened once that one of my flights got changed while I was in Europe. I contacted her via email and she immediately replied, provided assistance and resolved the problem . I highly recommend her and her agency and will continue to use her agency for my future trips. She listens to my needs and always deliver exactly what I except so my travel goes as well as hoped for. I know I'm in good hands with her. Thank you Blanka's for excellent service over the years!

I have been buying my tickets from blankaTravel since 2008. Blanka is very professional and someone you can rely on. When I travel to Europe, I always contact her, she is very nice and very honest. I had once missed my flight and she did her best to get me on the next flight, she was on the phone with me for hours, trying to work something out. So the negative comment on here, is just disrespectful, she does not make reservations without your consent. Plus in order for you to make a reservation, you MUST provide your name, address and date of birth. That being said, I have recommended Blanka to all my family and friends that travel to Europe.

Blanka called me cursing and yelling at me

This is the most unprofessional agent I have ever met. I called for a simple quote and told her that I will call around a bit more, she called me cursing and yelling at me a week later stating that I made reservations. That is a complete lie, she would need to have my family's information such as their names and stuff in order to make reservations. Stay away from this company! I have heard about her doing this to other people, I just didn't think that it would have happened to me. What a poor excuse for a woman.

Filing a new complaint about I have been using Blanka Travel for more than 10 years. All this time I've had the best service, best possible deals and never had any problems or issues. Blanka is just one of the kindest, most caring, honest and responsible individuals you could find. Just one of the examples is the situation with my good friend Hilmija Sabljic who was dying of cancer and had only a few months left to live. Hilmija desperately needed to get a ticket and return to Bosnia-Herzegovina to die at peace in his country". Hilmija did not have the money or the necessary travel documents and time was running out for him very quickly". But Blanka made a great personal effort to help him:. She not only helped him through the process of getting the necessary travel documentation, but also made numerous phone calls to the consular offices to obtain all possible help for Hilmija?. Blanka provided him with such a discount that he was able to purchase the ticket with a small amount of money and travel to his homeland?. I remember this case since it was very touching". When he arrived to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hilmija called Blanka Travel from his home in Dubrave and personally thanked her for her extraordinary help". Blanka Travel helped him return to his home and live at peace at least for a few months before he passed away due to his serious illness;. That's the kind and wonderful Blanka Travel I've known for years!

DON'T BLAME BLANKA TRAVEL SINCE ONLY AIRLINE CAN OVERBOOK THE FLIGHTS, NOT THE AGENT

After reading a negative, unfair and poorly composed and misspelled comment on Blanka Travel written by one pissed "consumer" and being an experienced traveler for years I must say that this story is missing some basic logic. First of all, travel agent does not have the technical ability or any other power to double book or overbook the flights. Travel agent cannot reserve the seats or issue electronic ticket in the first place unless all flights or segments are confirmed. Therefore, whoever wrote this should know that the responsibility for a possible overbooking is always with the airline and not the travel agent. Unfortunately, the airlines sometimes bump people due to the overbooking reasons but in such situations travel agents cannot be blamed since they are not the ones who either can do overbooking or prevent it from happening. Also, as I can understand from this story, the airline reissued the tickets for the passengers and they traveled. So, it's a well known fact that airlines do not refund already used tickets. And if the airline, by the law, is not required to refund the used ticket, how could the travel agent do so? Especially since tickets were already paid to the airline. Like I've said, this does not make much sense to me… Before blaming a travel agent, a person should at least have all legal facts or proofs and not just throw a bunch of negative comments and subjective conclusions in order to damage the business, probably led by his or her own questionable, personal motives.

I personally have spoken to the party that was hurt by this and they are not the only ones that were told to go home once they arrived at the airport. Blanka thinks that she can get away with everything, what she doesn't know is that there are people who speak English and will make sure she doesn't get away with this again.

There was one family before this family and I was once of the families that were hurt by Blanka. She does not have the common courtesy to talk to people in a nice way. If other people do not know what you have done, here in Des Moines, the families that were hurt by Blanka are going to make sure that NO ONE else buys airline tickets from her again. I have gone to Bosnia 4 times before this and this time has been a nightmare.

Some male kept yelling at me in the background as the other people told me they were yelled at too. Blanka kept trying to get me off the phone. I will personally make sure that everyone I know in Iowa that is traveling to Sarajevo and Zagreb knows not to buy from Blanka.

Save yourself the headache! I have nothing else to say, I have already wasted enough time trying to figure out how to go home to my sick mother.

STAY AWAY FROM BLANKA TRAVEL!!

My family the includes myself,y wife and my son Nermin were scheduled to fly on May 19th,2011 at 1:00 p.m. We had purchased a total of 5 tickets, 3 for us and 2 for a couple that was traveling with us. The couple the was traveling with us had no problems getting checked in and getting boarded on the plan. Meanwhile, we were there two hours earlier that the boarding time as required to and we tried to check in using the machine at the airport and it kept stating that there was no reservation found and to see an agent. We went to speak to an agent and the agent said that we don't have a reservation at all. We didn't know what was going on since we paid for our airline tickets in February. At the Des Moines International Airport there were two representatives working for United and also the director there. They both stated that the agent double-booked the airline tickets and that it automatically would have sent her an e-mail that she overbook and that at that point she would have had to fix it and she never did. I then called her and she started yelling and cursing and wanted to speak to the Representative at the airport and they would not speak to her based on the airport guidelines. We then had to go home since we would not be able to leave. We had already paid $500 to someone to wait for us at the airport in Zagreb and that person would take us from Zagreb,Croatia to Doboj,Bosnia. I kept talking to Blanka throughout the day and she still stated that she would fix the problem. Then in the afternoon sometime she said she will get us a new flight for the very next day. We got to the airport the next day and again the representatives at the airport stated that we were only guaranteed the flight from Des Moines to Chicago and from then on we weren't booked at all. We weer frustrated and I called Blanka and she stated she didn't know what they were talking about. Then, we got to the Chicago airport and again the representatives could not find reservations under the confirmation numbers she gave us and luckily they had extra places on the airplane for us to board. Then we got to Frankfurt where we spent 3 hours running around the airport trying to figure out how we were getting to Croatia, no one would give us tickets. My wife is disabled and it is hard for her to walk as it is. We then finally got an airline ticket when our daughter called to let us know that the guy who was originally suppose to pick us up already left the airport since he waited over 10 hours at the airport and was going to charge us an additional amount for waiting that long. My daughter then called my sister in law's husband who came and picked us up from the airport but charged us $300, which he only charged for the gas since he didn't want to charge for his time. My daughter Nermina, has been in contact with Blanka since we have left to Bosnia and Blanka keeps blowing her off. She first tried to blame everything on the gate agent at the Des Moines airport stating that it was his fault that this happened. Then, she had said they we made a mistake and booked with multiple companies which doesn't make sense since we wouldn't get a service unless we actually paid for it. She has been ignoring us just so she can get away with this. Every gate agent we have talked to has stated it is her fault and they see the error message that she would of seen on February 14th, 2011. Also, my daughter Nermina tried getting a refund from United and after countless e-mails returned back they won't refund us. She has spent hours on the phone with them and they stated that it is Blanka's fault. They also stated that we should look into getting a refund from Croatia Airlines since that who Blanka bought the tickets from. I do not think that is fair since they had nothing to do with this awful situation. Also, she stated that when we received estimates from another company for the trip that they probably got mad that we didn't buy through them and they canceled our reservations since that's what the independent agents do sometimes. We travel out of the country once a year for 2 months out of the year and this has never happened to us before. She is horrible to deal with and totally unprofessional and manipulative just so she wouldn't admit what she did wrong.

Ja i moja familija smo putovali sa Blanka travel dosad svaki put kad smo isli posjetiti Bosnu nikad nismo imali apsolutno nikakvih problema bila je veoma ljubazna i uradila sve sto je trebala i uvijek sam kod nje nasla najjeftinije karte Ova izjava gore moze biti tacna ili netacna uostalom svi smo ljudi i svi grijesimo moje iskustvo sa Blanka travel je fantasticno i nikad necu pozeliti neku drugu kompaniju ona mi je uvijek prva na listi da nazovem Blanka samo nastavi kako si i radila i I LOVE YOU

I recently used Blanka travel from Phoenix to Rome then Rome to Zagreb with a return from Dubrovnik to Frankfurt to Charlotte to Phoenix! Only one flight was delayed an hour or so due to weather but the price was reasonable and the trip was fantastic!

I don't believe a word of this.

She was very professional and I'm using her again! :)

I have good expirience with Blankatravel,and I travel with this agency before any of this Ferida, Raza, Mirsada and others exist at all.

Blanka is profesional, expirienced agent. In this compliant I am sure missing something. Maybe dother did not call 72 hours before to comfirm flight????
