Gift card refund

Our local store went out of business I called the corporate line they said there is no corporate line and were refusing to give me a refund for my card. This business sucks and their customer service is poor.

They gave me a line of BS! I would never ever support this company

Terribly disrespectful to veterans

Talk about a disrespectful restaurant!! I have been in restaurant Management for 20 years and have NEVER experienced the disrespect that I did from Blackfinn today.

The Owner Operator Peter Donahue set up Management interview at 4 pm today with me. I arrived 10 minutes ahead of the appt and found no one at the host stand when I arrived. After about 5 mins a server appeared to tell me that Peter wasn’t there. I assumed he was running late.

I was seated and given a glass of water. Our appt was from 4-4:30. I sat at the table from 4-4:30 and Peter Donahue never showed up, no call, no text, no nothing. Incredibly disrespectful to have someone sit there for 30 minutes.

I could tell the staff was VERY uncomfortable with him leaving me there. Sent an email to Peter Donahue at 4:30 and as of 6:30, 2 full hours after our appt, still no response, wow! How do I feel as a US Veteran? Is my time not as valuable as Peter Donahoe’s??

One can only wonders how they treat the customers/employees here, not good.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you spend your money ELSEWHERE at a restaurant where employees and interviewees are treated with dignity and respect. BLACKFINN ASHBURN is NOT that restaurant!!!

Food poisoning

Blackfinn - Food poisoning

On Valentine's Day. February 14th 2018 me and my girlfriend dying at Blackfinn in Mount Prospect Illinois.

I ordered some fried fish and my girlfriend ordered some baked fish. The fish was so greasy I had to soak some grease out on some napkins. So I start eating my fried fish 5 minutes into eating my stomach started feeling a little funny. So I continue to eat and my stomach got worse.

So around 1:53 a.m. the next day I started vomiting/throwing up. I was sick for 3 days. I call Blackfinn the next day and told them about my problem.

They gave me the run-around and a week later I had to call them back again they said that they would refund my whole purchase but I only receive a refund on one order and they didn't even give me my taxes back on that. They also said that they will send me a gift card it's been almost two weeks now and I still haven't received it.

I spoke with the manager and he was very disrespectful and rude over the phone. I still would like my refund and my gift card.

Actual food poisoning kicks in about 15 mins of the first bite. It sounds like a bile issue which kinda feels like food poisoning.

It’s too much bile versus how much grease/fat that is sitting in your stomach. Inevitably your bodies response is to expel it instead of digest. That is not food poisoning. That is the response your body had to greasy fish.

Also as the previous person posted, without definitive evidence from a medical lab/hospital then your claim of food poisoning is suspect. Then you not only want to eat the food then call up and whine about it but you want to eat there again by using their gift card.

It really sounds like you want something for free and when you didn’t get it you go on PC and embellish the situation. Because of these facts that you have posted is what makes you suspect.

Unless you sought medical attention and they ran the necessary tests, you have NO proof you had food poisoning and it was caused by the meal from Blackfinn. And if you did indeed have food poisoning, what person would wantto go back with a gift card? Very suspect story.

Assault victim

I was assaulted by a number of people outside of Blackfinn Merrifield, VA. The staff withheld information from the police that night, which they shared with me the next morning.

They knowingly withheld information on a mob assault on a ongoing case where many staff members witnessed the event.

Very disappointing experience on 9/26/15 at Austin location

Family birthday celebration was terrible. We had reservations on 9/26/15 for 9 people and got the worst table, unable to watch any of the football games.

The hostess absolutely refused to help change our table, even though there were other tables and space to do so. Good appetizers, we ordered a variety. However, poor entrees. 2 ruined steaks, glass shard in someone's beer.

2 plus hours to get through the ordeal. I do not plan on a return visit. Fortunately, there are other good places to eat at The Domain in Austin.

The next day we redeemed our birthday meal to celebrate mom's 74th at North Italian restaurant. They treated us right, awesome service and food.

BlackFinn,

Here, I am placing a complaint about an establishment and understanding that little will be done unless someone speaks out.

Will I am speaking out, I just had a conversation with the General Manager, James Faller , I listen to what He says his employee said happen on the 4th of July. Why do people lie? This guy is such a BIG LIAR . If what he says occurred there that night, charges would have been filed upon the person arrested. Who wants to go on with the particulars. Just know that Blackfinn is full of bull-***. Just look up all the complaints on the internet about Blackfinn. Why doesn't Addison do something about it?

BlackFinn in Arlington, TX is Horrible

Horrible service, took hour and a half to get service. The place was not even packed, there was only 4 tables seated out of about 20 and we asked 4 different waiters for assistance on several occasions, only to be told, they would find our waiter.

We finally get someone to take our order for drinks and someone else comes to take a food order but then mentions that the kitchen is now closed.

We send our drinks back and got kicked out for making a complaint to the manager or someone pretending to be the manager. Even the cop and the bouncers said the guy was a ***!

Overcharged my credit card (too much tip taken probably). I spoke with the "Manager", who did nothing.

I emailed the General Manager, which did nothing. Avoid at all costs. Filing complaints with every agency I can think of.

BBB gives them an F for failing to respond. Sounds familiar.
