Black Hills Gold Direct

On 05/17/23 I custom ordered (size 4) a ring from Black Hills Gold Direct (a company under the blanket of Klugex, which sells diversified types of products online), with their estimated order time of 4-6 weeks, equal to 28-42 days, which from order date would be 06/14-06/28/23 for expected arrival of the ring. On 05/18/23 they emailed claiming the manufacturing process had begun.

June 6 I emailed asking how long before the ring would ship, expressing that it was taking a long time (presuming they actuary really did begin manufacturing the ring 05/18/23), to which they responded with an estimated ship date of 06/30/23, equal to 44 days after the order date. I contacted them again 06/17/23, questioning the legitimacy of their website due to the lengthy delay, to which they responded justifying the delay due to it being a custom order. At the end of the day 06/30/23 having not received the ring, I emailed the seller stating having not received the ring, that I concluded they are a fraudulent website and would be opening a case with PayPal, through which I had paid for the ring. On 06/30/23 I opened a case with PayPal, escalating the case on 07/05/23.

Seller did not respond to my 06/30/23 email nor to the case I initiated with PayPal, until 07/12/23, 56 days after the order date, when they claimed they had shipped the ring. The ring arrived 07/14/23, 58 days after the order date. No explanation from the seller as to why it took 58 days for me to receive the ring, a far cry from the initial 28-42 days for delivery stated by them at the time of order, and no offer to appease my dismay as a result of their lengthy delay. The ring was a birthday gift and arrived too late.

A local jeweler stated to me they would have custom made the ring for me in two weeks' time at no additional cost and for less money. On 07/15/23 PayPal contacted me stating they had decided in favor of the seller since seller had provided them with tracking information. So the seller has no accountability for their actions, while I had to wait an unreasonably long time to receive my order. I am extremely disgruntled regarding this transaction.

Too bad I didnt know sooner my local jeweler would have been able to create the ring, which would have been a whole lot less hassle and distress and I would have had the ring long before now. Buyer beware.
