Black Friday Boot order - Backlog SNAFU
I ordered a pair of boots for my wife on Black Friday online(11/24). I placed the order on line and received a confirmation number and a delivery ETA of 4-7 business days.
One week went by(no boots), two weeks went by(no boots). So I called the JC Penney customer service line on 12/19. The CSR I spoke told me that the boot manufacturer had a backlog issue and that they(the manufacturer) would be contacting be directly(huh). Well, I called back again later that day.
The second CSR I talked to told me that the first CSR gave me the wrong information, the JC Penney customer care department would contact me about the backlog. Now keep in mind that JC Penney never sent out a pro active email to let ALL of thier customers know about the so-called backlog issue. If I hadn't called I would have never known that there was an issue. Icalled customer service one more time and asked for a supervisor who was casually told me that they were stocked out on almost all boots and that basically I wasn;t going to get anything before or after christmas.
So..I guess the JC Penney boot manufacturer under estimated the number of boot orders that would come in online during black Friday. I mean she actually said that I would never get the boots I ordered. The final kicker was that it would take 7-10 business days to get the charges put back on my credit card.
I WILL NEVER SHOP AT JCPENNEYS AGAIN..and I am going to tell everyone I know to stay away from the store. This was a pitifull customer experience and clearly management had no strategic plan in place to handle the christmas order rush.

I WENT TO BLACK FRIDAY IN THOMASVILLE, GA WALMART AND WAS VERY PISSED TO KNOW THAT YOU HAD TO STAND IN LINE AFTER YOU GOT YOU TICKETS FOR YOUR MERCHANDISE AND COULD NOT GO SHOP FOR OTHER ITEMS YOU WANTED. I STOOD IN LINE FOR THE COMPAQ LAPTOP FOR THREE HOURS AND TO FIND OUT AT 12:00 THAT YOU HAD TO PAY FOR THEM AT THE REGISTER INSTEAD OF GIVING THEM TO US AND LET US SHOP AND PAY FOR EVERYTHING AT ONE TIME OR EITHER WE PAY FOR THE LAPTOP ONLY AT THE REGISTER INSTEAD OF LETTING PEOPLE PAY FOR ALL OF THEIR ITEMS AT THE REGISTER WHERE THE LAPTOP WERE!
THIS WAS MY FIRST BLACK FRIDAY IN THOMASVILLE GA AND MY LAST... TALLAHASSEE FLA DID NOT DO THAT THEY GAVE THE CUSTOMER THEY LAPTOP AND THEY FINISH SHOPPING THAT IS WHAT BLACK FRIDAY IS ALL ABOUT SHOP, SHOP, SHOP.
Worst place to black friday shop.
Security there designed to keep trouble down. Only allowing groups of 100 in store every five-ten min.
"So Wrong". Wouldn't recommend shopping here to anyone. I know I won't go back. It should be illegal for people to camp/wait/lotter at a business for days .
BAD PLACE TO BLACK FRIDAY SHOP! Step a few feet from line to place trash in trash can. as others were doing, yet they never had to leave or go to back of line.
Guess I should of just littered. For the security and police make you leave after waiting in line for hours.

Black Friday Deals
is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, traditionally the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. On this day, many retailers open very early, often at 4 a.m., or earlier, and offer promotional sales to kick off the shopping season, similar to Boxing Day sales in many Commonwealth countries.
Black Friday is not actually a holiday, but many employers give their employees the day off, increasing the number of potential shoppers. It has routinely been the busiest shopping day of the year since 2005,[1] although news reports, which at that time were inaccurate,[2] have described it as the busiest shopping day of the year for a much longer period of time.
Black Friday shopping
To Whom it may Concern: My husband and I enjoy our Black Friday shopping excursions, until this black friday, that is. We made our rounds, just in time to get in line at Menards, Fort Wayne at 5:00 am.
Waiting in line with, I would estimate, about 200 other people, for over an hour in freezing temperatures. At last 6:00 arrived and as the employees were opening the doors, here came all these people who HAD NOT waited in line at all, and *** rushed the door, with no one to keep order. Harsh words were exchanged and the good mood shopping was over. We were furious.
If you are not going to keep order, then let people know there is no reason to form an orderly line out front. You really dropped the ball here. Please change your policy so this doesn't occur again.
I would hate to stop shopping at Menards. Sherrie Burford @ sbellburford@***.com

You fell into the "black friday" trap set by retailers. They lure you into the store by advertising a few good deals and then treat you like dirt by making you stand in line like a delinquent child in order to receive your "prize." There is nothing wrong with having fun at this annual event, but don't take it at all seriously and you will do fine.
don't go to them anymore because I really don't need to save any money or buy more throwaway things.
I used to go mainly to see the useless shreds of human debris descending on stores like jackals who see an elephant carcass---running, howling, and with a wild-eyed and crazed look about them. We have become mind-numbed robots who now act like wild animals.
