My site is gone

When I tired to open my bizland account on April 15, 2024, I got a message that my account was suspended. I checked my website.

My website was working O.K.

On April 16 I managed to open the bizland account to find out that I have to pay $286.43 for Word Press essentials. I did pay the money, then I opened the Bizland control panel. I noticed that I could not open my site. My content was replaced with a blank page.

I tried to get some help on chat twice.

Here is the answer I got the first time:

Thank you for your time.

I could see that you have outdated wordpress version. We need to update core files. Updating WP version, theme and plugins will cost $200. We can update your WordPress version at no additional cost. However, please be aware that updating only the WordPress version might impact your existing theme, plugins, and, subsequently, your website.

The second time I was exchanging messages with a different person who refused to deal with the issue insisting on showing him the screen of my index page.

I sent him the blank page because the wasn't any content visible. I sent bizland an email on April 18. .It was received, and I was asked to submit my security question the same day which I did.

I haven't heard from them since.

Conclusion : Not only did they push me to pay extra $286.43 and deleted my website, but also they wanted $200 more to restore it without giving me any guarantee that their action would be successful. It has been five days since I lost my website and I cannot get through to a customer support rep.

User's recommendation: I do not trust Bizland any more. Stop doing any business with Bizland a.s.a.p. They treat you like a character from a Kaflka novel.

Wild price increase

Bizland - Wild price increase

I've been with Bizland for over 20 years. Paying around $60.00 per year for there basic charter member service.Last year it was $59.95.

They sent an email today stating my bill for the same service is $265.50. They tried to charge my card for that amount, but luckily I had canceled that card.

When I talked to a rep they said the $59.95 was an introductory rate now.

Price Increase of 250% Without Notice or Explanation

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I've been a Bizland customer for 23 years (shame on me). This month's invoice arrived and they hiked the price up 250%.

When they began, you could e-mail or phone for assistance. No more. Now you chat with somewhere in the Far East and deal with broken English. After trying for a day and a half to get an explanation, I was told the increase was so that Bizland could stay competitive.

They're already more per month than any other hosting service. I'm getting out and not fast enough.

Absolutely terrible hosting provider

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I've been a Bizland reseller for over 15 years, but they just keep sucking worse and worse. Today, I attempted to install WordPress for a client, and got a 500 internal server error.

I spent about an hour on the phone with their Manila tech support, who told me in it was a glitch with the account configuration. No kidding? Now, like 12 hours later, it's still broken, and their online live chat support is also down. I'm finally going to find a different hosting provider, because Bizland sucks so bad and seems to not care about their clients at all.

They also engage in highly deceptive business practices. I will never recommend them again.

HORRIBLE COMPANY - DECEPTIVE BUSINESS TACTICS - STAY AWAY

Let me start off by saying that we signed up with Bizland and for the better part of 11 years or so they were just fine. Late last year my website went down (for about 2 weeks) - they couldn't figure out what the problem was.

Turns a server upgrade rendered my website obsolete. I was told it was my fault and that I need to correct it. I cancelled service. They continued to bill my credit card.

I argued and was assured by them that they are cancelling my account and would credit it back to me. They never did. I put a dispute with my credit card company and now they are saying that when I signed up 11 years ago I agreed that all cancellations are to be submitted in writing. My bad that I trusted them.

But that doesn't excuse the fact that they are DECEPTIVE.... LIARS, LIARS, LIARS .

STAY AWAY IF YOUR BUSINESS DEPENDS ON A WEBSITE. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!

Terrible services

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

my web developer started us on biz land and it has been a 5 year nightmare. customer strives takes 15-45 minutes to pick up.

All the support is very scripted and takes a long time to get to the point after repeating what customer says. The end of the service for us was when one of the emails was compromised. They suspended all of our company's accounts without sending a warning or a phone call. We have lost a lot of money in a weeks time.

This is the most unprofessional business to business experience that I have ever experienced.

I will not recommend the service ever. We will be filling a report with the the better business service.

Bizland Malware

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Our site was hosted by Bizland. We started receiving calls from them that our site had malware and was infected.

They recommended a company sitelock, who in turn cleaned it up for about a month and then started demanding we sign a contract. When we refused the contract we suddenly got infected again and they suspended our site. I have since started with a new carrier. I believe that they are untrustworthy.

I would stay away from Bizland. Plus their e-mail service was sub-par and temperamental at best.

I will never go back to Bizland. If you like being held up by a Malware producer I am sure you will love Bizland.

Bad Customer Service Review

once a fan but now a very unsatisfied customer. I have spent thousands with this company over 10 years and have seen a quick and blatant shift from being a great, affordable alternative to the Big Guys (godaddy, netsol) to being the poster child of what has gone so awry with customer service these days

Bizland is a waste of space and time

I am writing to express my grievances regarding the substandard company, Bizland. I was a Bizland customer for 3 painstaking years and from day one, I encountered problems. I found it to be a very poor service indeed.

Bizland lost very important information and e-mails. Most of the time, the e-mails never even made it to the recipient. This is despicable and unacceptable.

Not only was the web hosting service appalling, but the customer service was non-existent! I would spend many frustrating hours on the phone to foreigners with poor English language skills and no action was ever taken to improve the service or recover lost data.

Bizland was very hurtful to my business and I have reported my issues to the Better Business Bureau as well as many Web Hosting Information sites.

Now I am Bizland-free, my world is a brighter place and a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

The company motto reads, "Helping small businesses succeed, one dream at a time." However, it should read "Helping all businesses fail, one nightmare at a time!"

May I suggest the owner revisits the "one windowed basement he started his company from" and go back to the drawing board? Obviously Mr Ravichandron did not get it right the first time.

I have to agree, they have been messing up my emails, for a business its very important to get all your emails, because of their incompetence I did not receive a PO large order. Luckily they called me to confirm but i they had not I would have never sent the order and it would have hurt my businesses reputation....
